《Camille Lupin the Unicorn》Halloween Troll

Camille's POV
"Do you all remember the wrist movement we have been practicing?" I ask the glass.
"Swish and flick" they say doing the wrist movement with the wands.
"Very good" I praise smiling. "Now enunciate Wingardium Leviosa" I tell them. They all start to practice on the feathers I'd given them.
It's now October, Halloween to be precise. Not a lot has happened since school started. Except for Harry joining the Gryffindor quidditch team as their new Seeker. I am so proud of him and I even brought him his Nimbus 2000. I watched him train with Oliver Wood and couldn't keep the smile off of my face. He will be an amazing seeker, if only James, Lily and Remus could see him now. I'd be bragging about how I was right all along about him being a future seeker.
Anyway I'm pulled from my thoughts when I see Hermione telling Ron that he was saying the spell wrong. "It's Leviosa, not Leviosar" she tells him.
"Why don't you demonstrate Hermione" I tell her smiling and she points her wand at her feather.
"Wingardium Leviosa" she says swishing and flicking her wrist. Her father began to levitate following her wand.
"Well done Hermione, now you all see why enunciation is important in casting spells" I tell the class. "Saying the magic words properly is very important, too never forget Wizard Baruffio, who said s instead of f and found himself on the floor with a buffalo on his chest" I tell them. "Ten points to Gryffindor" I add as the other continue to try levitate their feather.
Just then there was a small explosion and one of the feathers caught fire. I turn to see it was Seamus' feather. "I think we're going to need another feather over here professor" Harry announces. I just wave my wand and the feather returned to normal.

"Remember swish and flick Seamus, not twirl and flick" I tell him. He looked a little embarrassed but nodded his head. By the end of class most could do the spell. When class finished I followed them out deciding to go see Hagrid. Until I hear Ron upset Hermione.
"Ten points from Gryffindor and you better apologize to her later or it'll be more then house points. Harry make sure he apologizes properly" I tell them. Before going off to see Hagrid, a part of me wanted to check on Hermione. But decided to give her some space to calm down. I'll talk to her after the feast tonight.
(Halloween Feast)
"Amazing as usual, nice job with the bats my dear" Dumbledore says and I give him a smile. Looking at the thousand live bats fluttered from the walls and ceiling. While a thousand more swooped over the tables in low black clouds.
"Thank you Dumbledore, I am quiet proud of them" I tell him smiling. I notice Hermione wasn't at the Gryffindor table. "McGonagall, have you seen Hermione?" I ask her. Before she could answer Quirrell runs into the room.
"Troll in the dungeons! There's a troll in the dungeon!" he shouts. "Thought you ought to know" he says before fainting. The students scream panicking until Dumbledore told them all to be silent.
"Prefects, lead your Houses back to the dormitories immediately. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons" he instructs. The students leave in an orderly manner as I notice Snape slip out the side door. I frown and go to follow.
"Come along Camille" McGonagall tells me and I do so. We split up into pairs me with her. We find Snape and Quirrell as we picked up the trolls trail. It lead us to the girls bathroom. Where Harry, Hermione and Ron stand above an unconscious mountain troll. "Explain yourselves both of you" she orders Harry and Ron.

They tried to explain and are cut off by Hermione. "It's my fault Professor McGonagall" she announces and we all look at her.
"Hermione?" I ask.
"I went looking for the troll, I read about them and thought I could handle it. If Harry and Ron hadn't come to find me. I'd probably be dead" Hermione explains and I can tell she is lying. Though the others seem to buy her story.
"Well in that case, Miss Granger, you foolish girl, how could you think of tackling a mountain troll on your own?" McGonagall asks as Hermione hangs her head. "Miss Granger, five points will be taken from Gryffindor for this" she states. "As for you two gentlemen, I hope you realize how fortunate you are. Not many first years students can take on a full grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale. Five points will be awarded to each of you" she adds. "For sheer dumb luck" she states.
"Come you three, I'll escort them to Gryffindor tower" I tell McGonagall and she nods her head. Once we were out of hearing range I look at Hermione. "Very well done Hermione, I'm proud I taught you something about lying. Ten points to Gryffindor" I tell her smirking and they all look up at me shocked.
"You knew professor?" Harry asks shocked.
"I have many secrets Harry and know how to keep them secret. Now this shall stay between the three of us. However Ron don't you have something you want to say to Hermione" I state.
"Right" he mumbles. "Look Hermione, I'm sorry for making you cry" he states. Hermione nods her head as we reached Gryffindor Tower.
"Now you all go inside, no more wondering around after curfew. There'll be food in there, the others are all finishing the feast in their common rooms. So eat and relax" I tell them smiling before leaving them there.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

8 115The Cracks in the Labyrinth

Living ostracized to hide from the brutal way of life in Caracas, he's working tirelessly as an online writer to help his brother and sister flee the country. Now, as he's about to have enough money to take them to safety, he receives an email from his old girlfriend ... which is remarkable, considering she's been presumed dead for years. Adam tries to think nothing of the email or the broken video file attached to it. He convinces himself that it has to be a computer virus of some kind until he discovers something terrifying: the video might link his sister to the worst night of his life, the night his girlfriend went missing, the night of "The Red Christmas". Then he realizes this could be a threat; his sister's life could be in danger. As he starts to investigate who sent the video, Adam begins to uncover dark truths about his neighbors and finds evidence that there might be a larger conspiracy at play. The problem is that he's starting to suffer from hellish hallucinations that make him question what is real. Soon, the only clear thing to him is that someone doesn't want him to dig up the past.
