《Camille Lupin the Unicorn》Harry's First Day of Lessons

Camille's (aka Professor Prewett) POV
I'm teaching second year Hufflepuffs on the first day classes. It's my first class of the year. Right now Harry, Hermione and Neville should be in Transfiguration. Otherwise they'd be late. Anyway I was taking the role when Harry ran in with Ron.
"Opps, sorry professor" Harry says sheepishly.
"Are you two lost Harry?" I ask him and he nods his head. I conjured an orb of light. "This shall show you to your classroom, I'd run if I were you" I tell them smiling. As they ran I returned my attention to my students.
"Professor Prewett, what was that spell?" Anita asks me.
"A spell you'll learn in the future, now lets finish the roll. Then we can start to discuss shrinking and engorgement charms" I tell them. I finish the roll call and then start the lesson. With them reading about the two charms and writing down key notes. By answering the questions on the board.
Afterwards I had a free period and decide to check in on Neville, Harry and Hermione. Who were all doing Herebology as expected Neville seemed to love the class. Harry and Hermione were interested, but no more then the other students. I then went to see Professor McGonagall.
"So did they make it on time?" I ask her as I enter her class room.
"No, they were still five minutes late" she states.
"Perhaps I should make them a map" I muse.
"They won't need it" she tells me. "Besides, no special treatment remember" she reminds me.
"I know" I tell her pouting. "I can still give anonymous Christmas presents right?" I ask her.
"Yes, now don't you have a lesson starting soon?" she asks me. I nod my head and leave. I enter my classroom and wait for my first years to arrive. They soon arrive and sit down in their assigned seats. I take the roll before standing up to address the class at large.

"Now a few things you should know about me and the way I run my classes. I call everyone by their first names, you all show me respect then we'll have fun at the end of class. But those who don't will be punished. I do not tolerate bullying, notes being passed or distractions. Is there any questions you'd like to ask before I show you the spell you'll be learning first?" I ask them. Several of them raise their hands.
"Yes Harry" I say smiling.
"I just want to thank you for helping Ron and I find Transfiguration this morning" he states.
"Of course, I'm always happy to help students in need. That goes for everyone" I tell the class. "Yes Neville" I say smiling gently.
"Will you be able to help me in class?" he asks me.
"Yes, anyone who feels they need extra help will get it" I assure him and the class. "Susan" I say pointing to her.
"What do we call you professor?" she asks me.
"My name is Melody Prewett, you will call me Professor Prewett or just Prewett" I tell her.
"But professor, I thought your name was Majesty" Ron says confused. I give a small laugh.
"That is what your brother call me" I tell him. "Now allow me to show you what we'll be learning, but I'll need an assistant" I tell the class. "Draco, came to the centre of the class please" I say sweetly and he does so. I draw my wand.
"Now who can tell me want Wingardium Leviosa does?" I ask the class and Hermione raises her hand.
"It's the levitation charm" she states.
"Yes, the spell to make things fly" I say smiling. "Ten points to Gryffindor" I state. "Wingardium Leviosa" I say swishing and flicking my wrist. Draco begins to levitate. "The Levitation Charm is one of the first spells learnt by any young witch or wizard. With the charm a witch or wizard can make things fly with the flick of a wand. The charm is an excellent test of your magical skills, wand control and above all, patience" I explain before lowering Draco. "Thank you Draco, ten points to Slytherin. You may return to your seat" I tell him.

"Now before you do the spell, you must learn the wrist movement and how to pronounce the spell. So open to page ten and start reading please. Write down the answers to these question" I instruct tapping the board. Several questions appeared on the board and they started to work.
I sit on my desk legs crossed as I watched them. Soon Hermione raised her hand. "Yes Hermione?" I ask her.
"I finished professor, what do I do now?" she asks me.
"Why don't you start practicing the wrist movement" I tell her. "Those who finish, start to practice the wrist movement" I tell the class. Soon everyone was doing it and I see we still had ten minutes. "Does anyone else wish to fly before class finishes?" I ask the class and many said yes. So I had them line up in four rows.
"Once you've levitated and gives me your answers, you may leave" I tell the class. I summoned all their books to me. "Homework is to continue practicing the wrist movements. Remember no using spells on other students" I add. Then levitate the first row for a minute before letting the go. I do the same with the rest of the class. Once everyone left I went to lunch before returning to class to mark their answers. Correcting the ones who were wrong and giving them some advice for studying in the future.

That and the other guilds don't stop them since they also hire their services from time to time. The various temples and religions have no official power part from some nations which are based around a belief. In actuality though they have considerable powers since they control the masses just as well as the rulers themselves. Get on their bad side and you might just find an assassin coming for you. A young woman gets thrown into this grimdark world from our own. Will she survive the curveball that gets thrown in her face as she changes into something else? Map created by Maximeplasse This fiction is based on my play-per-post RP that I've run before but with my own take on summoned characters and dungeon settings. At certain points I'll also allow reader decisions if the story gets popular enough. xD It's unrelated to the D&D Theron setting; Telduria I just liked the name and the map when I started up the RP back in the day.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
