Camille (Melody's) POV

My whole life has been turned upside down. Sirius is in prison, I've had to change my identity, and have to live in a muggle town. Which isn't so bad as I got to decide where I went. So I've chosen the town where the a new muggle born witch lives. She will be a powerful witch and I believe she needs guidance before she starts at Hogwarts.

Anyway my new name is Melody Hope Prewett. A pureblood witch training to be a Charms Professor and healer. My appearance has also changed thanks to magic. I now have dark brown hair, grey eyes and am paler then before. Only three people know my true identity. They are Dumbledore, Alastor and Remus.

Oh and the other masked man who tortured the Longbottoms has been caught. It was Barty Crouch Jr. Needless to say it ruined his father's career when he was sent to Azkaban. Igor Karkoroff gave him up in exchange for his freedom. But there is still no improvement on Alice and Frank's conditions. I talk to Augusta secretly through a two way book.

The Dursleys took Harry in, but weren't thrilled about it. Anyway let's get back to me starting my new life. As Melody Hope Prewett. I'm living in a house next door to the family of the muggle born witch. Whose name is Hermione Jean Granger. Her parents are dentists who own their own clinic in town.

I was just unpacking when there was a knock at my door. When I answer it I see the Grangers holding little two year old Hermione and smile. "You must be my new neighbours, please come in. Excuse the miss, I haven't finished unpacking" I tell them.

"Thank, my name is Henry. This is my wife Jean and are daughter Hermione" Henry states.

"We brought you some curry as you probably haven't gone shopping yet" Jean states.

"Thank you" I say smiling.

"So what brings you here?" Jean asks curious.

"Actually Hermione does" I state as I brew us some tea. "I'm sure you've realized by now, that she is not an ordinary toddler" I say.

"How did you know that?" Henry asks feeling protective.

"Because I to am not ordinary" I say levitating the tray over to them. I set it down on the table and sit down. "Tea?" I ask.

"What are you?" Jean asks.

"I'm a witch, my name is Melody Hope Prewett and I am a pureblood. You're daughter is also a witch, but a muggle-born. Muggle is term we use for non-magic folk. You'd be surprise how many muggle-borns become powerful witches and wizards" I explain.

"Why are you here now?" Henry asks as Jean sips her tea.

"Most muggle-borns don't show signs of magic until they're four. But Hermione is powerful and it was deemed necessary that someone be here. Until she attends Hogwarts, to unsure other muggles don't find out about magic" I tell him.

"Hogwarts?" they ask confused.

"A famous wizarding school, students start when they turn eleven and finish after seven years. In which they become legal adults in the magical world. Once they start school they are not allowed to use magic outside school until they turn seventeen. But all of them use accidental magic until they start school. As they don't have wands and don't know how to control their magic" I explain.

"Can you tell us more?" Jean asks.

"Yes, but first I have a gift for Hermione" I state. Then summon the otter plushie I had brought. Hermione sees it and it immediately flies into her arms making me giggle. "I knew she'd love it" I say smiling.

"Tank u" Hermione says smiling.

"You're very welcome" I tell her. "But it's not nice to snatch" I scold her gently.

"Soorrey" she says and I just give her a smile.

"Where's your husband?" Jean asks and I look at her trying not to react. "You have a ring, so I assume you're married. Will he be living here?" she asks me.

"No he will not, he's not with me anymore" I tell her.

"Oh I am so sorry" Jean apologizes.

"It's fine" I assure her with a smile. "Now I won't tell you everything tonight as it's a lot to take in. But as she gets stronger I will tell you more about her and my world" I tell them. They nod their heads we finish our tea before they return to their home. Hermione sleeping holding her new plush otter.
