Camille's POV

"First years over here!" a strong voice called through the crowd as we exited the train. I grab Remus' hand before leading him and the other three towards the voice. A giant man was waiting holding a lantern. "That all the first years?" he asked an older student who nodded their head. "Great, first years follow me to the boats" the man tells us and we do so.

I pull Remus with me closer to the man wanting to greet him and the other three followed. "Hello, I'm Camille what's your name?" I ask. The man looked down at me shocked, I don't think any first year had talked to him both this way.

"Rubeus Hagrid, but everyone calls me Hagrid" he replies with a smile.

"Nice to met you sir and this is my twin brother Remus" I tell him. They nodded their heads at each other and the other three introduce themselves. We then reached the boats that were on a giant lake.

"No more then four to a boat" Hagrid tells us.

"Guys I see Lily, I'll go with her and met you at the other side" I tell the guys. Remus went to protest, but I had already left. "Hey Lily can I join you?" I ask her as I appeared in front of her. There was a boy with greasy hair beside her. "You must be Severus, my name's Camille" I say holding out a hand.

"Of course you can join us" Lily states smiling. We all got into a boat and were joined by a blonde haired boy. Who introduced himself as Xenophilius. Once everyone was in a boat Hagrid said 'forward' and the boats moved across the lake. I noticed a tentacle in the lake under us and stuck my hand into the cold water.

The tentacle touched my hand and wrapped around it briefly before letting go. "You're crazy Camille, that could have dragged you in" Lily states.

"It's just a giant squid Lily" I tell her. "Besides if I had thought he was a danger I would not have placed my hand in the water" I state. We finally reached the castle and got out of the boat. But I stumbled a little and someone caught me before I could fall.

"I knew you were falling for me" a familiar voice chuckled.

"In your dreams Black, where's my brother?" I ask pulling away. Remus appeared and gave me a hug before we all followed Hagrid. We reached a door to the castle and Hagrid knocked on it. The door opened to reveal a stern looking witch.

"First years McGonagall" Hagrid tells the witch and she nods her head letting us in. Hagrid left us with her and she lead us to a room next to the Great Hall where everyone else are.

"Welcome to Hogwarts" she states "soon you'll enter the great hall to join your classmates" she tells us. "But first you must be sorted into your houses before you take your seats. There is Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin I'll be back shortly yo escort you into the hall. But while you wait feel free to make yourself look more presentable" she informs us before leaving.

I immediately go to fix Remus' tie as the others start to fix themselves as well. James was trying to fix his messy black hair while Sirius tucked in his shirt. Remus grumbled saying he could do it himself and I rolled my eyes at him. Once I finished with his tie I straighten our robes and then made sure my hair was straight. McGonagall returned and lead us into the great hall.

"Wait along here please" she states as we reached the front of the hall. Then picked up a scroll from a stoll where an old hat sat. "Now when I call your name you'll come forth and I shall place the hat on your head. And you'll be sorted into your houses" she explains and then calls the first name.

My name was finally called after Lily had been sorted into Gryffindor along with Sirius, while Xenophilius was sorted into Ravenclaw. I sat on the stoll as the hat was placed on my head. "Ah the first of the Lupin twins let me see" the hat whispers in my ear. "Very smart, loyal and has an affinity for magic. But does not use it often so not Slytherin perhaps Hufflepuff. But no again as you can be impatient that leaves Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. You are smart and are also creative when it comes to pranks. But not everything, so better be GRYFFINDOR!" the hat shouts to the hall.

Soon everyone was sorted into their appropriate house. Alice, Remus, James and Peter were sorted into Gryffindor while Severus into Slytherin. Alice introduced Lily and I to her friend from the train Marlene. After a marvelous feast the Gryffindor prefects showed us first year Gryffindors to Gryffindor Tower. Where our common room and dorms were.

Turns out I was sharing a dorm room with Alice, Lily and Marlene. Remus is sharing one with James, Peter, and Sirius. After saying goodnight to the boys and giving Remus a hug I went to my dorm to change. Then fell into a peaceful sleep in the bed close to the window after brushing my teeth.
