Camille's POV
I wake up on July first in my room and decide to go wake up my brother Remus. So I grabbed some spare whipped cream and a one of our Father's quills. When I reached his room I placed the whipped cream in his hand then used the feather to tickle his nose. He went to swot me away and covered his face in cream making me laugh.
"You're going to get it Cami" he states and I run from the room giggling. I run into the kitchen and hid behind Dad. My was at the stove cooking the pancakes as Remus enters the room.
"Remus go wash your face now" Mum tells him.
"But she did it" he whines.
"Is that true Camille?" Dad asks.
"Yes, Daddy I thought it'd be funny" I say giving him an innocent smile.
"What have we told you about pranking your brother?" Mum asks.
"Not to, I'm sorry Remy" I say and he says he forgives me. Then left to clean his face as mum served breakfast. Remus joined us and we prayed before eating. "Dad Screech's here" I say pointing out the window at the gray owl. Screech is the family owl and has been for three years.
"He has the post" Remus adds as the owl landed in front of our father.
"Your Hogwarts letters have arrived" Dad states handing us a letter each.
"Remy open yours first I'm to nervous" I tell my brother. He nods his head and opens it slowly as we all watch him. Remus read it aloud and it said he'd been accepted into the school.
"Your turn now Cami" he states. So I opened mine and read it aloud:
"I'm so proud you both are going to Hogwarts" Dad tells us as Mum hugs Remus and I. "But I must get to work, we'll get your school stuff on Sunday" he promises. He kisses mum's cheek before disapperating.

"Mum can Remus and I go play outside?" I ask her.
"Sure honey just stay in the backyard" she tells us. I smile and grab Remus's hand dragging him outside. Remus grumbled saying something about reading a new book.
Remus and I were sitting cross legged on the grass passing a ball to each other. "Cami do you think I'll make any friends?" Remus asks me.
"Of course you will" I tell him smiling.
"But what if they find out what I am and don't want to be my friend anymore?" he asks gloomily. I sigh putting the ball down and walking to his side.
"Remus if they're true friends they won't care what you are. I don't I still love you big brother" I tell him as I give him a hug. "Besides you'll always have mum, dad and I" I remind him.
"Thanks sis I needed that" he states smiling. "Perhaps you'll find someone else to prank at school" he says changing the subject.
"Yes and I'll have you to help me plan my awesome pranks" I state. "But don't worry I won't let it affect my school work" I tell him. We then went back inside for lunch to see Screech asleep. "Was there anything in your letter about your furry little problem?" I ask as we sat in his room.
"Yeah, it says there's a place for me to transform where no one will be hurt. That they have everything planned out" he tells me. "But I am nervous turning here is one thing, whereas turning in a school full of students. Well it's scary" he states.
"Don't worry I'll help you, Dad told me werewolves don't hurt animals. I'm going to find a way to become one to help you" I tell him.

"You're the best sister ever" he states smiling.
"And don't you forget it" I say giggling. Remus then took out his new book Hogwarts a History and we started to read it together. I'm not one for history, but I do love reading. "Bet we're in Gryffindor together" I state.
"How much?" he asks smirking.
"Five sickles and two knuts" I tell him.
"You're own, but I bet we'll be in different houses" he states and we shake hands. We then continued to read until mum called us down for dinner. Dad was coming home late as he has reports to finish. After Remus was asleep I snuck into his room and crawled into his bed. I have nightmares and he's the only one who can keep them away when dad isn't around.

Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
