《Fate of our life (Niall Horan - Completed)》THIRTY FIVE

The cold water hits my hot skin and I feel my muscles become loose and my body relaxed. I tilt my head back and let the water run over my bare chest. It has been a while since I've felt as relaxed as I do now. My life has calmed down and taken a break from the rollercoaster that is has been on ever since I met Niall. I'm happy but at the same time, I can't stop wondering how long it's going to last. The dreams I have must mean something...
But before I can think more about them, I hear music from the bedroom. Niall has his playlist playing on full volume all around the house. He told me several times about the speakers in every room, but never used it around me before - until now. I can imagine him dancing to the songs with his crutches and a smirk on his face. Wanting to catch him dance, I hurry up and wash my body and hair before getting out of the shower. The music is still playing when I've finished getting ready. I open the door to the bedroom slightly and see that he isn't here. Then I smell my second favorite scent in the world. Pancakes. (My number one favorite smell is Niall. Obviously.) With a huge smile on my face, I go into the kitchen and catch Niall moving along to the song from left to right with a spatular in his hand. I quickly take my phone out and film him as I stop myself from laughing.
"Oi!" Niall suddenly yells, making me flinch. "What do you think you're doing?" He asks as my phone flies out of my hands. My eyes are clued to it, watching it fly up into the air before coming down quickly. At the last second, I move and quickly catch it before it can hit the floor.
"My phone nearly broke." I laugh and quickly check if it saved the video and it did.
"Serves you right." Niall says chuckling as I walk over to him. I wrap my arms around his waist and kiss his shoulder. "Good morning, princess." He says and turns around to cup my cheeks and kiss my forehead. I close my eyes as his lips touch my skin. We pull apart and he quickly flips the last pancake before it can get burned, like mine sometimes do. I put my arm around his torso and look over his shoulder. He has already showered in one of the other bathrooms and his clothes smell fresh. I take a deep breath and take his scent in when my phone suddenly rings. I usually never get calls this early, I think. But when I look at the clock, I see that it isn't early after all. I quickly kiss Niall's cheek before rushing over to the living room. Adam is calling. "Niall! You have to eat on your own, love." I say as I walk back to the kitchen.
"Why?" Niall asks as he places the last pancake on top of the others. He holds the plate up and looks at me with a weak smile. "I've jut finished." He mutters.

"I know, I know, love. But I really got to go. I'm late." I quickly explain as I get a water bottle out of the fridge. He puts the plate down on the kitchen counter and grabs my arm as I'm about to leave. I turn around and he puts his hands on your shoulders.
"Have a good day." He smiles and kisses my forehead.
"You too." I mumble and get on my tiptoes to kiss his. "Bye, gorgeous." I smile up at him before turning around and leaving the kitchen as my phone is still ringing.
"What should I do with the pancakes now?" Niall asks as I grab my bag from the couch.
"Put them in the fridge and we'll eat them for dinner." I suggest quickly as I grab my keys.
"Alright!" Niall exclaims but I'm already out of the door. To my luck a taxi is approaching as I walk through the gate. I raise my hand and it stops. My phone starts to ring again when I get inside and buckle up.
"Get as quick as possible to London University, please." I tell the driver before finally picking up the call from Adam. "Hey." I breathe out heavily and lean back.
"You do realize that you've missed a class and are late to your next, right?" Adam asks.
"I know, I know, I know." I say, closing my eyes. "I'm in a taxi right now."
"Why don't you just walk? That's way faster." He says and I can hear him walking.
"It's not if you're living in a house with your boyfriend." I explain, sitting up. I look at the clock on the dashboard and see that I've only got a few minutes left until I have to be in my class.
"Since when are you living with him?" Adam asks and I can hear that he doesn't like that in his voice. He knows about the downs that we had. Not detailed but enough to make him not like Niall. After all, they had a fight one time and the other time, I was a total wreck because of Niall. I guess, if I had gotten into a fight with a girlfriend of his and then had to see him to through hell because of her, I wouldn't be happy to hear that he's staying with her either.
"Since we made up?" I explain but it sounds more like a question. I press my lips together as I wait or his answer. But he doesn't. He's speechless. "Adam?" I say, testing if he's still there or if he hung up on me.
"Look, Olivia, I know that you really love Niall and Niall probably really loves you, but after everything you guys went through, do you really think that it's a smart idea to already live with him? I mean, what if you and him have another down? Where are you going to go then?" Adam sounds so much like my mother when she first heard that I'm living in Niall's house. It amazes me that they haven't met and discussed my relationship with Niall already. He's always been doubtful that mine and Niall relationship is ever going to work and therefore is super over protective of me.

"Adam..." I take a deep breath. "Everything's going to be all right, okay? I still own my flat and I'm staying with Niall just temporary, before he leaves for the tour. We want to spend as much time together as possible. Does that make sense to you?" I ask as the taxi driver stops. I quickly get my wallet out and pay him, before getting out of the car.
"In a way it does, but I'm still not 100% happy with the fact that you live together." He says as I rush to my next class, which I'm already late to.
"Can you at least accept it?" I want to know as I push the heavy doors open to get into the building.
"I can accept it, yes."
"Great, thanks. I'm late, bye!" I say quickly before running up the stairs to my class. I open the door and get all eyes on me as I walk into the room.
"Miss Hemmings." Mr.McAllister aka Robert says as I blush bright red. "Do you have an explanation for your late arrival?" He asks. I shake my head no and bite my lip. "Take a seat then." He says and nods over to the empty seats in the first row. I nod and choose the one on the very left side of the room. I feel the eyes of everyone around me on me as I take out my laptop to take notes. Mr.McAllister continues his class without any more distractions.
"Would you be annoyed if I fell asleep?" I ask Ally. We've only been in the library for half an hour but I can already feel my eyes tying to close and my body trying to fall asleep. My mind is already half asleep as well, making me read the same paragraph five times over and over again.
"You really didn't sleep a lot last night, did you?" She asks. I shake my head no, yawing. "What in the world did you do that made you so exhausted and tired?"
"Well, first of all..." I starts to form a sentence but pause to yawn. "First of all, I stayed awake to watch the boys win. Then I fell asleep but only for a few hours before Niall came home and woke me up again. Then we slept for a couple of hours again." Yawn. "I-I woke up before him and had to get ready for it."
"What is it?" She asks and looks at me with a confused look on her face.
"You know... it." I repeat and raise my eyebrows as I look down to my body.
"You did it?" She smirks. I nod. She's happy. "Well, that's number three then, isn't it? But how if his leg is in a bandage?"
"It isn't anymore and please, stop counting how many times I had... it." I say and push my books forward to cross my arms on the table. Ally is smirking and I shake my head at her before resting it on my arms. I close my eyes and drift away. Everything around me becomes blurry and I start to dream.
It's that garden dream again. But it isn't the happy one, where they admit that they love each other. It's the one where they break apart.
The little girl and the little boy are sitting on the swings but no word is spoken between them. It hurts my heart seeing them like this together. I want them to have fun and laugh and talk so badly. But no, all they do is sit and stare down to their feet. I want to yell at them, tell them to make up and be happy, but I don't have a voice, as if I'm just dreaming.
"Can you promise me one thing?" He asks and I wonder again what made them become so distant from each other.
"One thing." She mumbles.
"Promise me to like me when we're older." He says, looking up from the ground. He looks at her and wants to see her face. I see it in his beautiful blue eyes. He wants to stay friends with her, wants to make her happy, but she keeps starring at the grass, making him look down again.
"I don't even know your name." She whispers.
Silence.
"Just promise me to like me when we're older." He says after a few minutes. He looks at her but then stops and looks away when she nods her head yes.
"Promise." She says and looks up. He lifts up his head and their eyes meet. "It was nice to meet you." She stands up and walks over to their parents who just came out of the house. Her patch is still on the back of her head and I remember the time that doctor in the hospital mentioned that I have scar on my head, before taking that statement back within seconds. The little girl takes the hand of her father and hides behind him as her mother hugs the other woman. I can't see their faces again, can't recognize who they are. The little girl and her parents leave. I look back at the little boy and see that tears are streaming down his face. "Niall, come in. It's going to rain!" His mother calls from inside. He gets up and runs in as it starts to rain. "Niall, come in!" I hear over and over again as it starts to rain.
There's only one Niall I know and that Niall has the same beautiful blue eyes as the little boy. But can it really be that I knew Niall when I was younger? And what tore us apart? I don't want to believe that Niall really is the little boy from my dreams...
Because if that's the case, it means that Niall has been keeping a huge secret from me and I don't know if I could forgive him that.

Over the years he'd made friends with random people he often passed on the streets and did manage to hold down a few random jobs, but like everything else, they came, then went.
