《Fate of our life (Niall Horan - Completed)》THIRTY

The scene of the two kids, running around and having fun in the garden is in my head again. I've had this dream before but it seems to be much clearer now. It's not as blurry as before and I recognize the garden as a place that I've been to more than just once or twice.
"Wait!" The little girl in my dreams exclaims. She wants the boy to stop or at least run slower because she's not as fast as him. For the first time I see that she has her hand on her heart. It's racing, pounding way too fast and it's faster than just the normal racing you get from running around. "Wait!" She yells again and trips. Nothing was in her way and the grass is cut, nothing made her trip except for her own clumsiness. She reminds me of myself.
The little boy rushes back to her and kneels down in front of her. He puts a strand of her hair behind her ear and puts his hand on her cheek, lifting up her face. They look at each other and he quickly takes his hand away, blushing. "Does it hurt?" The brown haired boy asks.
She shakes her head and manages to smile at him, making him smile as well. She lies down in the grass and looks up into the sky. "Do you love someone?" She asks.
He nods and lies down next to her. Their hands are touching but neither of them is taking their hand away. "You." The little boy admits with a smile on his face.
"I love you too." She says giggling as her cheek turn bright red.
"Do you really?" He asks and takes her hand in his.
"Of course." She smiles and turns her head to the side to face him. He turns his head as well and smiles from ear to ear when he sees her smile and her big brown eyes.
"Forever?" He asks and she nods.
"Forever." She promises.
I open my eyes and realize that I've had this dream before and more than just once but it was never as detailed as it was now, nor was it ever that long. I always woke up after the little girl said I love you too and never dreamed further than that until now.
I slowly sit up as I still think about the dream and grab my phone that on the nightstand. It's 5:44 and I've got 3 unread messages from Adam, but I really can't be bothered right now to read them. Niall's still sleeping next to me with his mouth slightly open and one arm of his arms over my thighs. He hasn't noticed that I sat up and doesn't even flinch when I slowly move further away from him to get out of bed. I put the blanket over him before going into the bathroom and getting ready for the day. After a quick shower, I put my hair in a messy bun and brush my teeth and face before tiptoeing past Niall into the walk-in-closet. I quickly get change and take a second look to see if everything looks alright and is in place before I leave Niall's neat closet again. He's still sleeping when I walk pass him, out of the room to make us breakfast. Niall's fridge is just as organised as his closet, making me grin a little. I think about making us breakfast, but then I remember that he's probably really tired. After we got home yesterday, I studied for a bit before going to bed at midnight while Niall was talking to Harry on the phone. I don't know what time it was exactly, but I know that I've definitely slept a couple of hours already when I felt Niall's arm around me. Letting him sleep in before Clair comes to take him to the doctor, might just be the best for him today.

I grab a bottle of water out of the fridge before closing it and making myself toast with Nutella for breakfast. After eating and cleaning up the mess I made, I go back to the bedroom and take Niall's phone. His password are still my initials (OEH – Olivia Elisabeth Hemmings) just like my password are his (NJH – Niall James Horan). I get into his phone and see that a picture of me that he took when we were in LA is his home screen. We were in the hotel room, fooling around on the bed and making each other laugh when he took that pic. I've never seen it before and can't even remember that he took it. I look through his other pictures and see a lot more pictures the he sneakily took when I wasn't looking. I bite my lip to not chuckle and resume back to the reason why I even took his phone.
I quickly text Clair before putting his phone back on the nightstand and giving Niall a kiss on the forehead. I take a piece of paper out of my bag and leave a little note for Niall, which I leave right next to his phone. Then, I take my bag and check if everything's inside before quietly going towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Niall suddenly asks with his usual deep and raspy morning voice. He rubs his eye open and sits up as I take a step back.
"I'm going to my first class, love." I explain and smile at his tired face.
"Kiss." He demands and opens his arms. I roll my eyes smiling and rush back to him. We kiss but I pull away before it deepens, because I know that he won't let me go once it turns into making out.
"Love you!" I say and wave at him as I make my way back to the door.
"I love you too!" Niall exclaims before laying back down. I look back at him and blow him a kiss, which he catches with one hand and presses onto his cheek before closing his eyes again. I can't help it but have to giggle when I see his satisfied, but at the same time tired face. With a smile on my face, I quietly leave his house and get into a taxi that drives me to my student accommodation. In the taxi I decide to quickly stop by my flat to check if everything's okay since I've got enough time before my first class starts. I haven't been in it since the accident because Niall took me to his house right away, but not that I'm complaining, I love living at with Niall in his house.
I unlock the door and take step in, seeing that Niall tidied up a bit. I remember my books being randomly stacked on top of each other and my curtains fully open, but now my books are ordered after size and the curtains are half open and half closed, making it seem like someone lives here even though no one does. I go over to my closet and take out Niall's clothes that I hid underneath Christmas PJs. I take a sniff but it just smells like detergent and not like Niall anymore. So I stuff it into my bag, to take it home after my classes and let Niall wear them again, to make them smell like my favourite smell in the world. When I leave again, I ask myself when I'm going back again and secretly hope that it will be months until the next time.

When I wake up again, I put my arm over, thinking that Olivia's still next to me, asleep, but she isn't. She's already long gone to her classes, sitting in a room filled with people, listening to whatever her professors talk about. Maybe she's counting down the minutes to the next break, maybe the hours until we see each other again.
I push myself up with my elbows and reach for my phone. But instead of my phone, I get something else between my fingers. It's a little note and even without looking at it, I just know that it's from Olivia. I take it and imagine her voice in my head as I read it:
Dearest Niall,
I wish you a good morning and a wonderful day.
Love, Olivia xx
A smirk forms on my lips right away. I study her writing, to see if something has changed since the last note that she left for me. Her writing still looks the same as in the notes before but her Xs are bigger, making my smirk become bigger. I put the note into the little box under my bed that has all the notes that she has left for me inside, like the one from my car or the one she once put on a bottle of water, saying:
Hi love!
Stay hydrated.
Olivia xx.
I put the box back under my bed and grad my phone, seeing a few texts from Clair on my lock screen:
I look at the clock and see that it's 8:43. "Shit." I whisper and put my blanket to the side as I read the last text from her:
I smile at the text and put my phone down, before taking my crutches and hobbling into the bathroom. I brush my teeth and style my hair after taking a quick shower and changing the bandage around my knee. With only my boxers on, I hobble into the walk-in-closet and get dressed in normal jeans and a shirt. The doorbell rings just as I pull my shirt down. I quickly rush to the door and open it. Clair stands in front of me with a paper bag in her hand and a juice in her other.
"Good morning." She smiles. "Do you have everything you need?" She asks and I shake my head no, making her smile form into a straight line. "Get in the car, I'll get it." She says and takes a step back. I hobble pass her to her car and get inside, putting the crutches in the back of the car. Clair comes moments later to the car and gives me my food, drink, phone and wallet, before closing the car door for me. She rushes over to the driver side and gets in before driving off.
"Does your knee still hurt from time to time?" She asks as she takes a turn to the left.
"No, it doesn't hurt at all anymore, except for when I directly touch it." I explain and open the paper bag to get my breakfast.
"Why would you directly touch it?" She asks, rolling her eyes. I just shrug and bite into the sandwich.
I've just finished my breakfast completely when we arrive at the hospital and quickly down the juice while Clair parks the car. Before getting out with my crutches, I quickly put the garbage into the paper bag and take it with me out of the car. Clair follows me into the hospital where I throw the trash into the first bin that I see.
I hobble to a chair across from to the reception and sit down as Clair talks to the nurse behind the reception desk. The nurse looks over Clair's shoulder as soon as she hears my name and smiles from ear to ear at me. She looks pretty young and flips her hair back when I smile awkwardly back at her. I take my phone out of the pocket of my jeans, to avoid even more awkwardness. Clair comes back and tells me that the doctor is already ready for me. I get up and follow her into his office.
It feels like the appointment takes forever until the doctor finally says his last words and promises that I'll be 100% fit for the tour. I nod vigorously and shake his hand before leaving his office again. Clair follows me out and to the car. As soon as we're inside, she drives me to my next appointment. This time it's physiology and there we spend nearly the whole day there. The physiologist talks about muscles and the body and other physical stuff before it's time for lunch break. Clair and I drive to McDonalds, even though Clair thinks that I shouldn't eat that when my body tries to recover from a surgery, but I said that I was craving it and that it's the closest to the physiologist. She then gave in and we ate it in the car before driving back. I then had to do some exercises from my knee. It isn't until five that we're finally on the way back to my house. Clair watches me get out of the car and open the door to the house, before she drives off.
I hobble into the living room and smell the scent of popcorn coming from the kitchen. Excitement builds up in me as I make my way to the kitchen. I want to greet Olivia with a loud Hello, but then I see her head on the kitchen island, asleep on her books. She's exhausted from the day and I wish I could carry her into the bedroom, but I can't. Bloody knee!, I think as I hobble over to her. I put her hair to the side and kiss her cheek.
"Princess, wake up." I whisper into her ear and shake her a little. She slowly wakes up and rubs her eyes open.
"I'm so tired." She mumbles and turns to the side to put her arms around my neck.
"I know." I say, putting my arms around her. "Didn't you sleep, last night?"
"I dreamed all night long." She explains and closes her eyes again. "Carry me." She says with a little tired smile.
"I can't." I reply as I stroke her head.
"Bloody knee." She complains, making me laugh out loud.
