SEVENTEEN:
There was no way in hell that Jungkook had feelings for Taehyung. Because...well he didn't have a reason, but he was sure to come up with one. Even though the two had kissed, it didn't mean that Jungkook had suddenly fell for Taehyung and was now head over heels for the boy. There was no way in every single universe that any feelings could arise in a matter of twenty minutes. No. It wasn't possible. So when his friends urged that he was in denial...well he did everything to deny it. And prove that he didn't have feelings for Taehyung.
And anything that he did have, Jungkook already ruled it off as feelings from the past. Like, how much he used to care for Taehyung. That stayed with him from young, and now he worried for Taehyung because that feeling stuck with the cherry haired boy. But romantic feelings? That wasn't possible. Three weeks. Three weeks Jungkook had stayed with Taehyung, and he was pretty sure that there was no feelings between the two of them...and even if there was, Jungkook wouldn't admit to it, or even let himself fall.
Like a very influential, and famous man once said, trust is like a piece of paper, once it crumbles away, it can't ever be perfect once again. And the cherry haired boy knew that it would take a lot more than one talk and one kiss to trust the blue eyed boy again. He just couldn't risk his trust to be broken again, a long with a lot more. However, that got Jungkook thinking, how long would it take for Taehyung's friendship with Jungkook to mend? Was it something that Jungkook wanted? And more importantly, was it something that Taehyung wanted?
There was so much complications when even just thinking about about Taehyung. So when his three friends told him to think about the possibility of the fact that there maybe a chance that Jungkook had feelings for Taehyung...well Jungkook did everything he could to ignore his friends words, and avoid Taehyung all together. It was hard but Jungkook knew that seeing Taehyung, meant thinking about Taehyung, which mean that Taehyung would give him a migraine, and that wasn't something that Jungkook really wanted. No matter how Jungkook felt in his heart or mind, no matter how hard he thought about it, no matter how many questions he had and no matter how many answers he had yet to see...
He knew that nothing would compare to wondering how Taehyung felt. It's all fun and games trying to figure out your own feelings for a person, but the stress that comes after it, is what's truly stressful. Jungkook saw that it would be harder to try and figure out how Taehyung felt about the smaller, cherry haired boy. Sure, the two were now able to talk to each other, and be around each other without worrying about awkwardness, but that didn't really explain to Jungkook what was going on through Taehyung's mind.
Wendy nudges Jungkook, "Jungkook? Hey you good? Miss is asking you a question!" She quickly whispers over to Jungkook, who finally snaps out of his thoughts and comes down to reality. He sees that everyone is looking at him with anticipation. Jungkook looks over to Wendy for help and she leans in, "what has been your favourite thing so far about the trip?" Jungkook nods at her, mentally thanking her.

"...My favourite thing about the trip so far...is that I was able to make friendships with people I didn't expect to. I was able to overcome some fears. And I was able to have fun, while learning," Jungkook's mind travels over to Hoseok and Jin, Jimin, Yoongi, Namjoon...and last but not least, Taehyung...even though he didn't know what they were, he could at least say that they were friends.
Jungkook's teacher smiles, and replies, "how nice is that. This trip taught Jungkook here how to come out of his shell, and don't all of you think that's good?" The rest of Jungkook's peers groan out responses, getting tired with Mrs. Wilson's speech. To be fair, Jungkook didn't even know what she was talking about, he was too busy caught up in his own thoughts once again.
Jungkook smiles and looks down at his feet, standing closer to Wendy when the cold wind pushes past. Wendy wraps her arm around Jungkook's, holding him close. Jungkook smiles again, and this time catches a certain pair of blue eyes. Taehyung is turned around to face Jungkook, he was standing a few metres away, but Jungkook could see him clearly. Jungkook's heart flutters when he sees Taehyung's soft grin, but he pushes that flutter all the way to the back of his mind and focuses on Taehyung.
Taehyung motions to Wendy and winks. Jungkook looks at Wendy and then back at Taehyung, he smiles, his eyes crinkling. A pure and genuine smile coming from Taehyung.
Which makes time stop for Jungkook.
Like he had hit the pause button, and the only thing he could see was Taehyung. That smile. That smile was killing Jungkook on the inside. Jungkook takes a step forward, but stops when Taehyung shakes his head and laughs. He motions over to Mrs. Wilson who's talking about the last week of the trip, and how the students should make it on hell of a week. Jungkook looks back at Wendy and then back to Taehyung before mouthing a quick "thank you."
Taehyung nods, placing a hand on his chest. Jungkook laughs, shaking his head, looking down at his feet with a blush. When looks up back up, Taehyung is looking at him with a twinkle in his eye. The sheen over his blue orbs, filled with happiness.
Taehyung doesn't know how to describe the feeling he gets when he sees his cherry blush red and smile. It feels like a flower blooming in his heart. And he regrets every moment that he didn't get to spend with his little bunny. Jungkook always resembled a bunny to him. It was his small nose, and teeth. Sometimes Taehyung just wanted to walk over and grab him, and press his lips against the smaller boy. And he especially wanted to do that now. Seeing the boy grateful and happy just made Taehyung's happiness rise from a place in his heart that he thought he closed forever.
Taehyung sees Jungkook narrow his eyes and motions to their teacher, but he doesn't care. He shrugs and uses his fingers to point out that he'd much rather be looking at Jungkook's face. Jungkook scoffs, shaking his head, the grin still plastered all over his face, mood, body language and demeanor.

Once again Taehyung winks, mouthing, "you owe me cherry," Jungkook frowns, and decided to focus all of his attention on his teachers speech, for a minute. Taehyung's smile falls, wondering what he had done wrong in a matter of seconds, but that smile fixes itself and constructs again when he sees Jungkook taking small peaks at him. Taehyung crosses his arms, trying to look as serious as he could. But there's no use.
He fails immediately when Jungkook flashes him a heart dropping smile. And what happened too Jungkook just moments ago, happens to Taehyung.
Like life said, pause.
Just so Taehyung could capture this moment, to remember until the day he passes on. His heart shudders, and he tries to remember what he's doing but he can't because he's trapped in Jungkook's ethereality. It's like the smaller boy wasn't even real, that's how perfect he looked to Taehyung. Taehyung just didn't know how to put his feelings into words, and that's why he was stuck in silence.
Taehyung slowly pulls out his camera, and hints to Jungkook what he wants to do. Jungkook narrows his eyes for a moment or two, before nodding. He smiles while waiting for Taehyung. Taehyung quickly captures a picture of Taehyung, smiling down at the picture. He looks towards Jungkook, nodding enthusiastically.
Wendy nudges Jungkook again and he looks towards her, "what now?"
"I've been watching you and Taehyung all time...you guys really are so cute. I don't understand why you can't just admit that you like him," she says, whispering.
Jungkook frowns, "you know, it's really nice that my friends have the ability to decide what I'm feeling," he replies, and she looks at him with a smile. "No...we just have the ability to know when someone's being extra, and chatting shit." Now it's Jungkook's turn to nudge Wendy, as he pushes her softly.
"I'll let you know that I am not chatting shit. I'm just...trying to get the best out of now, and what happens, will happen...you know," he says, shrugging. When he looks over to Wendy he sees that she's standing with her mouth wide open with shock. He pinches her which results in her yelping, catching the attention of some people around her, "ow!"
"Why are you standing there like you just looked at Medusa?"
Wendy stammers on her words for a moment before she says, "well... that's been the most honest you've ever been regarding how you feel about Taehyung...and it's like weird to hear you say something like that."
Jungkook just shakes his head and puts his attention on the rest of his teachers speech. "As you know, this trip is soon going to come to an end. Tomorrow will be the last hike, and then there will be 7 days until you guys finally get to go home and experience Wifi again," she pauses, trying to see if anyone laughs, but they don't, and she sighs, "anyways, the trip has been exhausting but fun. And all of you have cooperated with the roommates, the hikes, the early mornings so well, that I believe you guys deserve a reward."
Soon people begin to whisper around in question. Jungkook turns to Wendy, "what do you think the reward will be?" But Wendy shrugs, "I don't know...maybe she got us like keychains or something?"
Jungkook laughs, "imagine, I bet she'd be looking at our bags everyday to see if we liked them and wore them...that would be so adorable of her, I'm not going to lie."
"Yeah for real...but I'd prefer if the reward would be a full fat greasy burger with chilly cheese curly fries and a large Pepsi...I don't know if you can tell but I'm so tired of that Shepherd's pie that they serve everyday," Wendy replies, almost shuddering in disgust.
"I would like to inform you all from before hand, that I'm your favorite teacher..." Mrs Wilson begins, looking around with a soft smile on her face, she laughs when she sees many of her students pull a look of confusion.
"Before any of you guys shout out that Mr Gezzeral, the professor that teachers German, is your favorite, let me explain why I'm your favorite teacher. I have decided to give you all the week off! Yes, you heard right. You're all free to rest. Do whatever you want! And there's one more thing,"
Many of the students begin to speak loudly, so some of the staff had to quieten them down when Mrs Wilson nods at them. After the silence falls again, she continues, "the last thing is, in the middle of the week, you will all be throwing a party, to celebrate four weeks of pure fun you had on this trip...and no drinking!" She quickly adds.
By now, almost everyone is screaming around, and jumping up, down, pulling at their friends coats. Jungkook chatters with Wendy, the two of them screaming.
"We're going to have so much fun!"
"There's definitely going to be drinks!"
"I'm so excited!"
"Hoseok and Jin HAVE to come!"
"What are we going to wear?"
"Oh crap, I only have winter clothes!"
Jungkook jumps up and down, almost tumbling into Wendy. He looks back at his teacher, who's laughing.
"Right kids! Before you all go crazy, I want you to meet one of the staff event planners that work here. His name is Lucas, and he's only two years older than all of you," just then, a tall boy walks over to stand next to Mrs Wilson, he smiles and waves at the students, and looks at Mrs Wilson, hinting at her to continue speaking. "He will be planning the party along with all of you, so expect to see him around!"
Jungkook tilts his head, observing Lucas from the crowd.

A lot of new content has been added to the early chapters since the end of May. The first chapters are still under construction and editing, but all the major changes are done. I was a webnovel junkie for a long time, but I found it hard to find novels with solid characters, decent plot, philosophical underpinnings and a fully painted world to keep me going. I've taken from every genre I've liked to make a story that satisfies my own cravings for a good story. If you like the story or have suggestions please leave a comment or review. I hope this novel is fun, provocative but above all fun. Enjoy. Yours truly, James Paul Addington PS I will release at least two chapters a week, or one really long chapter. Concerning the tags: The story is primarily Fantasy with Wuxia influence in some elements. Romance won't happen for the first two arcs or so (roughly 40 chapters), I want to build the world before I do that. Tragedy is because of an event that occurs in the book, not the tone of the book. The book is more lighthearted. Slice of Life doesn't occur till the third arc (the romance happens during that arc as well). Magic will also show up more in later arcs, but appears throughout. Reincarnation it's not a reincarnation like in the traditional sense, but it has a similar concept.
