TWELVE:
"It was so weird Hoseok, honestly. It was like he woke up and his asshole switch was turned off," Jungkook said, a slim finger twirling his cherry red hair as he talked to his three friends, who were sitting right in front of him, listening intently. Hoseok sighs, running a hand through his own hair, losing himself in his own thoughts. He catches Wendy's eyes, and gives her a quick wink before turning back to Jungkook. Jungkook waits for an answer from his red headed friend. "Maybe he's trying to make up for the past," Hoseok says, a shrug in his shoulders.
Jungkook scoffs, "as if. If he wanted to apologise he should've done it years ago."
Jin places a warm hand on Jungkook's hand, staring at him with a soft look in his eyes, "then maybe Jungkook, you shouldn't overthink it. Just go with the flow, and let wherever the wind takes you, take you there. And don't be tense, be normal and natural. And maybe one day you'll find yourself walking down a beach on a rainy day, holding hands with him." Jungkook's eyebrow furrows as he hears Jin's words.
Once again, the cherry haired boy scoffs, "why are you making it sound like I'm in love with him? I was his friend, not his lover." Wendy decides it's her turn to try and offer advice to her cherry haired friend. "Jungkook, don't get all hot headed with us, but we think that just maybe you have like the tiniest crush on Taehyung," before Jungkook could even say anything, Wendy rushes out, "and that's totally okay. And it would make a lot more sense as to why you can't just let go of him." Jungkook's mouth falls open in shock.
"I...I can't believe you guys think I like him. Especially since I spent the last ten years hating him. Do you guys understand that?" He asks, shock still written all over his face. The cherry haired boy couldn't believe that his friends thought that. It was absolutely unbelievable. Wendy picks at her lips, her legs bobbing up and down anxiously, Jungkook sees this and sighs loudly. "Jungkook...maybe this is the reason why you can't talk to him. You're looking for answers from him, when you don't even have answers from yourself. Did you ever think about that?" Jin says in a soft tone.
Jungkook scoffs, his mind running with thoughts, "you guys seem like you know everything that's running through my head. How d'you guys even know that I could have liked him, if I did?" Jungkook replies, crossing his arms, staring at the three of them when a stern look in his eyes.
Hoseok finally snaps out of his own train of thoughts before answering, "when you messaged us, we were all together and it was just the topic of conversation. But seriously Jungkook, maybe you should listen to Jin and think about it. Maybe if you come to peace with yourself, you and Taehyung can them come to peace and maybe be friends again."
Once again, Jungkook scoffs loudly, rolling his brown eyes, "it's not possible. And I know it's not true because I was his best friend. And the thing I held against him for the last ten years was that he hurt me as a best friend. Nothing more. And why did you guys decide to bring this up now. It's weird."

The three of his friends were at a loss, they all stared at Jungkook with warm eyes, immediately seeing the denial in his eyes. Wendy sighs loudly, and Jungkook's eyes snap to hers, she smiles and says to him, "we're not asking you to go up to him and scream at him. All we're asking is for you to think about it carefully so you can come to peace with yourself." Jungkook's eyes cast down to his hands, which were mindlessly picking at his nails.
Hoseok puts his arms around Wendy, agreeing with her, "and the only reason why we brought this up today is because we care about you. And it's really toxic for you. Especially since you're always worrying about Taehyung's next move. Why don't you just talk to him....after you have a mental conversation with yourself?"
Jungkook stares at the hand around Wendy's shoulders. He sees how happy she looks, her face glowing. And he sighs, shoulders slumping down, "fine. I'll think about it. But I don't want to do this. And I know for a fact that Taehyung won't even try and talk to me about the past."
Jin smiles victoriously, leaping onto Jungkook, hugging him tightly, "finally! We can finally get a rest from hearing about you and Taehyung," he screams, Jungkook chuckles, abruptly losing balance and toppling to the floor with Jin's long spider like limbs wrapped around his small body.
Jin gets up, dusting himself up and then helps Jungkook up. When Jungkook and Jin get up they see Hoseok and Wendy laughing. Hoseok was sitting close to Wendy with one of his knees up and she was giggling, her head in the crook of his neck. Jin looked at Jungkook with a dull look before sitting down. They were so obviously in love already.
Jin flicks his blonde hair out of his eyes and flattens down his pink shirt, "I can't believe they won't admit that they like each other." Jin says, staring at Hoseok and Wendy. Jungkook chuckles slightly, "how did you even meet Hoseok?" Jungkook asks, sitting more comfortably on Jin's bed. Jin chuckles, throwing a pillow at Hoseok's head. Hoseok glares at Jin, before quickly turning back to Wendy to converse with her.
Jin rolls his eyes, "he was my neighbor for the longest time but I just never made the effort to talk to him... d'you see how straight he is? I mean I'm not heterophobic but everytime I seen him his tongue was always shoved down some trashy girl's throat."
Wendy immediately joins into Jin and Jungkook's conversation, "wait so Hoseok is a fuckboy?" Hoseok groans and glares at Jin, who has a massive grin on his face.
------
Jungkook is all alone in his room again, he looks over to where Taehyung would normally sit, reading a book (on the floor next to his bed) and he smiles softly. He didn't peg Taehyung as the type of person to read in their spare time. But it was like everyday Taehyung continued to surprise Jungkook. Jungkook thinks back to a few hours ago, to where his friends were adamant that Jungkook think about feelings.
Jungkook sighs, wrapping himself in his duvet as he picks up his phone. He looks over to Taehyung's side once again, seeing that a book was on his bed. Cautious Jungkook steps out of his bed, the hoodie he was wearing falling to just in the middle of his slim thighs. He immediately shivers when he feels a cool breeze on his bare legs. His eyes shift over to the open window and he sighs before heading over and shutting it.

Taehyung didn't leave the room a mess today which Jungkook was grateful for. But the window, he left open and now the room was absolutely freezing. Cautiously, Jungkook picks up the book with his sweater paws, before he quickly tiptoes back to his own bed, afraid of being caught in the act of stealing Taehyung's current read.
Jungkook knew that Taehyung read a lot, especially since a few nights he would come back to his room from hanging out with Wendy, Hoseok and Jin, and he would see Taehyung curled up on the floor, reading a book. His blue eyes focused tightly on ever single word on the pages.
Sometimes Jungkook thought that Taehyung was cut off from his friends, or that the blue eyed boy just liked being alone. Even in school Jungkook would see Taehyung with Yoongi and Jimin, but not really with them. Like he was in his own world. The blue eyed boy was a boy that Jungkook thought he knew but now, living with him, sleeping in the same room as him, Jungkook started to realize that Taehyung had changed, and he now had no idea just who Taehyung was. And he didn't know if it was a good thing or not...
Maybe it was good for Jungkook to rediscover Taehyung as a person?
Jungkook looks down at Taehyung's book which was on his lap, he looks at the spine, and sees that the book was worn out like it had been read many times. He skims through the pages and sees creases where Taehyung had folded the book many times as a bookmark. Jungkook smiles softly as he looks at the title of the book. The secret garden.
Jungkook begins to slowly read the book in the dim room, the rain pattering on the window. Turning each page, his focus never leaves the words running off into each page. Jungkook understood just why Taehyung had read this book many times. It was of course a classic, and a beautiful one at that.
Each passing minute, Jungkook's room becomes darker, but he can't bring himself to take his eyes off of the words, even if he could barely see the words now, even if he had to squint. He just couldn't put the book down. Reading like this brought back memories from his childhood, where instead of having a phone in his hand, he'd have a book, and he'd read until his hands physically hurt from holding the book up. It was nostalgic. Just reading a paper book, and having that scent of old parchment made Jungkook feel so content.
Jungkook sighs, turning the next page of the book, continuing to read on. He read on until Taehyung walked into the room and switched the light on. Jungkook jumped up in his spot, staring up at Taehyung with his widened, and now startled eyes.
Taehyung's chuckles, before his eyes travel down to the book Jungkook was holding so tightly in his small hands. His smile falls and his head tilts in wonder before he says, "I see you're reading on of my favorites." Jungkook nods quietly, handing the book up but Taehyung shakes his head, his bangs falling into his eyes. He pushes the book back gently into Jungkook's lap, "finish reading it," he says, before walking over to his side of the room.
Jungkook averts his eyes when he sees Taehyung begin to change. But his eyes betray him when they quickly glance over and he catches a glimpse of Taehyung's lean body. Jungkook almost drools, his heart begins to beat rapidly. The caterpillars in his stomach becoming beautiful butterflies. He quickly looks okay, his cheeks redder than his hair.
Taehyung pushes the window open slightly and heads into bed. The only sound now was the rain falling heavily against the open window. Jungkook starts to read again, to rid of the awkward tension in the room.
"My dad gave me that book before he left, that's why it's so beat up," Taehyung says, his smooth voice rolling from one side of the room, slithering its way into Jungkook's ears. Jungkook looks at Taehyung, who's staring right back at him. "Oh?"
Taehyung chuckles shaking his head, "sometimes I wish it wasn't such a good book, otherwise I'd have thrown it away by now," Taehyung says, shifting deeper into his bed, his eyes tired. He then runs a hand through his black wavy hair, and Jungkook smiles at him. "Maybe it's a good thing. You can at least have something to remember him by."
The blue eyed boy shrugs, turning towards Jungkook, "maybe, but I don't really like remembering him. Especially since he wasn't part of a massive chunk of my life." Jungkook places the book down on the nightstand, and quickly gets out of bed to turn off the light. As he does that he says, "but without him, you wouldn't be the person you are today."
"Luckily for me, I dislike the person I am," Taehyung mumbles only for his ears to hear, shifting in his bed so that he could go sleep.
However, Jungkook's keen ears hear too, and he pauses in the dark, not knowing what to do or say, but he chooses to keep it to himself and get some rest. The cherry haired boy soon falls asleep from hearing the deep and steady breaths of Taehyung.

I really love getting to this part of the book, where I can describe character feelings better. Also, we're nearly halfway through the book! It's only been a week and few days but I'm shooting through this book and it's thanks to all of your supportive comments that make me smile.
I don't have anything else to say other than, be happy and take care of yourself. Be safe everyone!
Only the real ones know what show this is from. And if anyone thinks the American/Australian one is better than the ORIGINAL British version than leave this book... thanks
Jk
No, Seriously...

8 196How A Villain Builds A Kingdom
READ THE WARNING Amadeus Devereux was born into a rich and powerful household. But he did not pursue power like his brothers because of his love for art, flowers, and poetry. Until one day, a servant arrived in the garden to see Amadeus smiling as if he was looking at a flower. Only this time, Amadeus was looking at the mangled corpses of two gardeners. ————————— Set in a fantasy world where magic exists, follow Amadeus as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Will he be able to feel emotions as others do? This is a novel that I wrote because I got tired of all the tropes that had transmigration, regression, deus-ex machina, etc. where everything that makes the main character reach the top is left to luck. —————————
