Trunks sees the androids about to kill a family as the father puts himself in front of the blast hoping to at least keep his family alive in exchange for his death as the 17 fires a blast at them trunks appears in front of it and takes it head on using his body as a shield as a smoke cloud appears trunks turns around and grabs the family disappears due to moving to fast and appearing outside the city
Father:where
Trunks:don't worry you're safe now
Mother:did you save us
Trunks:yes sorry but I have to go now before they destroy anything else
As trunks is about to leave he feels a tug on his sleeve looking down trunks sees what appears to be a 7 maybe 5 year old girl getting down so that the girl can look him in the eyes the girl asks trunks and question a question he doesn't know how to respond to
Girl:mister... Are you a hero like in Mommy's stories
Trunks:I... Um
Trunks sees the hopeful eyes of the child and he can't bring himself to tell the girl no he isn't
Trunks:sure but I got to go now ok
Trunks give the girl a head Pat before standing up and floating up into the air
Girl:bye bye mister hero
Trunks flys back into the city landing behind the artificial humans
Trunks:that's enough
The two artificial humans look behind them seeing trunks
17:oh trunks right whoa man what the hell happened to you you got buff longer hair ripped your clothes... Also did you get taller
18:oh for the love of why don't you swipe right already
17:nah I think he's more your type sis
18:mm not wrong to bad he has to die

Trunks:you... Kill me that's rich unfortunately your chance to do that has expired and you would have as well... To bad someone got you a extension

18 raises her hand at trunks and fires a blast at trunks who disappears and reappears behind her

18 goes to turn around but trunks punches hard enough to knock her ass out cold as she falls to the ground trunks turns and faces 17
17:um.....any...chance I can talk you out of this
Trunks:no
17:huh ... Well... AHHH
17 quickly raises both hands and fires a blast at trunks who disappears with 18 appearing above 17 who looks around for the two
17:i know that wasn't enough to destroy 18 so where did she go
Trunks points his hand down as 17 continues to look around a ball of energy forms in his hand
Trunks:looking for someone
17 looks up as trunks fires the blast at 17 seeing this 17 dodges flying into the air to avoid being hit and to hopefully be on even ground with trunks but trunks appears in front of 17 and hits him in the jaw sending him back to the ground and also through the ground as 17 makes his way through the hole his body made trunks appears behind him
Trunks:good night
17 turns around but he is knocked out the same way 18 was as he falls to the ground unconscious trunks catches him
Trunks:well let's see if mom can get the job done... But a part of me hopes she can't after I've had to live in the nightmare world you've created I won't nothing more then to destroy you... But I know it's possible for you to change... So let's find out what happens

Trunks takes off to capsule Corp arriving quickly bulma seems to have built pods for them already confusing trunks as the artificial humans are placed in pods

Trunks:how long have you been thinking about reprogramming them
Bulma:awhile now...even if gohan had survived... Then it would only be the two of you to fight threats.. So I thought maybe i'd build this... Listen trunks I need the plans for the androids there should be a lab in the mountains I think north of North City

Bulma:right so long as they are in these pods they should stay asleep

Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft.
