Trunks swings at Goku trying from every angle possible but Goku blocks all the strikes finally trunks decides one last swing as Goku blocks it their ki lashes out for a moment

Trunks pulls his sword back and lands on the ground powering down and sheathing his sword

Trunks:we gotta go back to the future

Trunks begins inputting the era he wants to go to as the time machine begins to fire up as it floats in the sky remembering that he has to stare down and wave goodbye trunks looks at his past mother and waves as the time machine disappears
