Blue

The color of the sky

The color some people's eyes

It's everywhere

Though some people don't even care

Seeing colors is a gift 

One some people take for granted

We live in a world that's full of blue

Full of sadness and despair

But if only we could look around

And see that there is much more here

Than the sorrow associated with blue

There's a world full of other colors

Of hope for better days

We all wish for a yellow day

Filled with sunshine and joy

Sometimes it might go the other way

If we could truly be grateful for what we have

We'd understand that that yellow day is here

We were just in such a cloud of blue

We weren't able to see it until it was gone

Until we chose to remove the burdens of our life

It gets hard regardless of our attitude

But trying to be the happiest you can

Will bring that yellow back right into your hand

The next time you want to give it all up

Remember that that yellow day is nearly here

You just have to wait a little longer

And your reward will come shining down
