《The Holiday Homework |Christmas Book |》Epilogue - Part 2

I stood by my window and looked out at the little view I had of the street. The street lights had little lights around the post and there was snow on the sidewalk along with the fresh snow that was currently falling.

I felt my phone vibrate in my hand, I smile when I see the caller id and pick it up.

"You should sleeping, babe." I hear him say.

"I should be saying the same thing." I hear him chuckle. "I was about to but I wanted to check on my girl the night before the big day." I giggle.

"I'm fine. I can't believe that today is Christmas and we haven't met." I sigh and say. "I know but it's not good for the bride and groom to meet before the wedding day." he tells me.

"Now, be a good girl and go to sleep. At least on your wedding day, don't sleep in." he tells me, towards the end it sounded more like a little warning.

"Don't worry, my excitement will wake me up." I tell him, I hear a chuckle.

"Goodnight Holly Anne." I could sense his smile as he spoke.

"Goodnight Jasper." I smile and say.

He ended the call, I placed my phone on my nightstand and got under the blanket. Emma was sound asleep beside me and I lay on my back staring at the ceiling.

Six years.

Six amazing years since Jasper and I have been together for and tomorrow we were getting married. Some people wondered if it alright for us to marry in a year's time thinking that what Jasper and I have would break. Jasper and I ignored those comments and our family was with us in the whole preparation.

I close my eyes and try to sleep. It's hard to sleep when I was excited about tomorrow!

---

"Please, Holly! Don't make me pour water on you on your wedding day!" I hear her yell.

"Five more minutes! Just for my eyes!" I beg and try to sleep, I hear her sigh and heard her walk away. There was silence and I was glad. I just needed another five minutes just to wake my eyes up.

Five minutes was all I asked for.

"Where is my beautiful daughter!" I hear my mother sing aloud. Great! she's here and there is no way of staying in bed. "Holly!" she was now near me, I frown without opening my eyes.

"Sweetie you must wake up." she sits on the bed beside me.

"Just a few more minutes, my eyes are still tired." I mumble.

"I wish I could let you but you have to be up now so that you are ready on time." she pats on my back. "Now wake up and take a shower. You'll feel better, if not then I'll make you some good coffee." she tells me, I groan and turn to get up.

"Morning Holly." my mom greets me.

"Morning." I smile and get out of my bed. I collect my towel and wrap my hair in it so that I don't ruin the hair that was prepared to be set.

I closed the door of the bathroom and walked to my mirror and looked at myself. I never knew this day would ever come, a day where I would be a bride and I would be marrying the love of my life. I still cannot believe I am marrying Jasper!

It felt like just yesterday when he proposed to me and today is my wedding.

I calmed the excitement that started to set in, quickly washed my face and got under the shower.

The wedding is set to be in the afternoon at a beautiful church here in New York and the reception is to be at Central Park. I got a little inspiration from Little Manhattan. The location is perfect for that place holds a lot of memories.

I reached for my bathrobe and wore it. When I stepped out, I found Emma standing there with a mug of coffee in her hand, she handed it to me and I thank her. "Your mom has gone out to get the stylist," she informs me. "Which gives me time to have this coffee in peace." I take a sip of my coffee.

"Where's yours?" I ask noticing no mug in her hand. "It's in the kitchen." She replies.

"Bring it here, let's have it together." I tell her, she smiles and goes out of my room to the kitchen to get her mug of coffee. She came back and we sat at the small table I had near the window in my room. Emma made me laugh with her cute moments with Luke. Listening to how Emma has been talking about Luke and her, I really hope they last, Emma may not be able to get over Luke if they ever end things. Ryan would be there at the wedding, he's Jasper's best man while Emma is my Maid of Honour.

I heard the doorbell which reminded me that I had to soon get ready and from this very second, time was just going to fly.

My mother walks in with three ladies following her. One of the stylists took Emma to the living room to get her ready while the other two started their work on me along with my mother giving plenty of instructions to them as they worked.

---

It was three in the afternoon and my mother and Emma helped me down the stairs of the building. As much as I loved the building I stay in, I so wish there was an elevator.

When I stepped out of my building, I saw a white posh Mercedes waiting. My father was looking very handsome in the suit he was wearing. As I approached the car, he opened the door of the car, held my hand and made me sit in the car. Emma sat on the other side and my parents were to ride in the car that waited along with this car. Once Emma and I were secure, they went to the second car and soon we were off the to church.

The roads weren't very busy, there wasn't any traffic that would delay us even in the slightest.

I looked down at the ring that lay on my left hand. In a matter of an hour or two, there would be another ring along with my engagement ring.

"Are you nervous?" I hear Emma ask me, I turn to look at her. "A little and I don't know why I am." I laugh a little and say.

"It's alright, you're just thinking if everything will be good. You don't have to worry about that at all." I nod and smile.

"You look beautiful, Emma." I say, she chuckles.

"Save that for my wedding day. Today is all about you." She tells me. "Thanks for the compliment though." I chuckle and give her small playful on her arm which made her laugh a little.

The driver stopped and I looked out from the window to see that we had arrived at the church. Emma got out of the car and came over to my side. I open the door and I got out of the car, Emma made sure I got out carefully. My parents had arrived by then and then all of us climbed the stairway that would lead us to one of the rooms.

Once we got in there, my dad waited for me outside the room. Jessica and Juliet were waiting for me in the room and soon they started setting the veil on my set hair. My mother came in with the flowers Emma and Jessica were to hold. Lastly, she came to me with mine.

It was pretty big, a little heavy as well but it was beautiful.

My mother let the veil fall in front of my face. When I looked at her, she had tears in her eyes.

"Mom, please don't cry." She shook her head and looked at me. "You look beautiful Holly." I giggle and lift my veil a little and kiss my mother on her cheeks.

Juliet told us that it was time.

Jessica and Emma walked out of the room and stood at the end of the church. I slowly walk to my dad, I locked my arms with him.

The procession song starts to play and the two girls in front of me started to walk down the aisle. They were about six steps away when dad and I start to walk down the aisle.

The church was almost full but I looked down at my flowers halfway down the aisle and then I looked up and my eyes met with his. The smile he had got a little bigger, I couldn't do anything but blush.

My father stopped a few steps before the altar, he placed a kiss on my forehead and handed me over to Jasper. I climbed the step and stood beside Jasper, the priest looked at both of us giving us a smile and then he looked at the rest of the congregation.

"We have gathered here on this beautiful day to celebrate and cherish the love the two share in the presence of God and their loved ones." He begins the ceremony. "We are gathered here to give our best wishes and blessings to the words that will unite Jasper Marcus Anderson and Holly Anne Winters in Holy Matrimony." I quickly look at Jasper, he was looking at me as well.

The priest looks at us again and spoke to us as well as to the rest of the church. He spoke about the importance of marriage. We carefully listened to him read out parts of the Bible which described love and what love really means.

The priest told us to stand to face each other and hold our hands for our vows. I thought of having our own vows but since we decided on having the wedding in a church, we decided its best if we stick to tradition.

"Repeat after me, starting with the groom." Jasper nods and waits for the priest to speak. As the priest spoke each line of the vows, Jasper repeated them.

"I, Jasper take you Holly to be my Wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow and forever." he held my hand firm, I couldn't help but smile and look at him and his eyes.

"I will trust you and honour you. I will laugh with you and cry with you." I nod with tears filling up in my remembering the month he changed my life around. "I will love you faithfully, through the best and the worst, through the difficult and the easy."

"Whatever may come I will always be there. As we hold our hands, I give you my life to keep. So help me God." he finished his vow and I was all set to cry.

"I, Holly take you Jasper to be my Husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow and forever." I begin to say.

"I will trust you and honour you. I will laugh with you and cry with you." he nods his head and he smiles more. "I will love you faithfully, through the best and the worst, through the difficult and easy. Whatever may come I will always be there. As we hold our hands, I give you my life to keep. So help me God." I smile as I end and see his eyes show more happiness.

We turn back to face the priest and he looked at Jasper.

"Jasper Marcus Anderson, do you take Holly Anne Winters to be your Wife?" the priest asks him.

"I do." he answers

"Do you promise to love, honour, cherish and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only unto her forevermore?" the priests asks him.

"I do." Jasper replies, the priest nods and looks at me.

"Holly Anne Winters, do you take Jasper Marcus Anderson to be your Husband?" he asks me.

"I do." I answer.

"And do you promise to love, honour, cherish and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only unto him forevermore?" the priest asks me.

"I do." I answer.

The priest then announced that it was time to exchange the rings. He told us and the congregation about the ring and what it symbolises.

At the priest's cue, James walked to where we were standing a step behind us. The rings were placed on a royal red pillow. Jasper and I take the rings and stood to face each other.

There were more vows to say here, we decide to say it alternatively.

"I Jasper Marcus Anderson, take thee, Holly Anne Winters to be my Wife" he looks at me and puts the blessed wedding band above my engagement ring.

"I Holly Anne Winters, take thee, Jasper Marcus Anderson to be my Husband." I put the ring through the ring finger and looked up at him.

"To have and to hold" he begins.

"In sickness and in health," I say.

"For richer or for poorer," he says

"In Joy and sorrow," I say.

"I promise My love to you," we say together.

"With this ring, I take you as my husband, for as long as we both shall live." I smile as I spoke.

"And I take you as my wife, for as long as we both shall live." he smiles as he looks at me.

The priest begins to recite a small prayer, Jasper and I held our hands together, closed our eyes and pray along with the priest. When he was done with the prayer, he looked at the two of us and then at the rest of the congregation.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife."

He looked back at us with a smile.

"You may kiss the bride."

I turn to Jasper.

He turns to face me.

He carefully lifted the veil and leaned in to kiss, I kiss him back and then turned to the rest of the church, with my arms locked with Jasper's. We take our first step and everybody begins to cheer. We walk down the aisle and walked out to the church's little garden.

----

Jasper and I walked hand in hand down the little lane that was leading to the venue of our reception. I couldn't stop smiling, so couldn't Jasper. After the ceremony, there was a little photo shoot at the church itself. It wasn't for long because everybody attending the ceremony had to make to the reception.

Our little talk was interrupted when I saw the venue. I place my hand over my mouth because it was beyond beautiful. I never knew anything about the decorations here. All I knew was where the reception was, the rest Emma took in her hand.

Jasper and I open the glass door, everybody inside began to applaud and cheer. Emma and Ryan greet us and guides the way to the little stage that had a long table set. I remember Emma telling me that Jasper and I would be up there along with Ryan and her. As we walked to the stage, I look at all the tables Jasper and I walk past.

Everybody congratulates us but I couldn't help but notice how beautiful each table was. There were candles around the centrepiece of some of the winter flowers I had loved when I went to choose the flowers.

Jasper helped me as we climb the stage and then made me sit on the chair and he sat beside. Emma and Ryan, you could say that they were the hosts for the night.

Two people brought in our three tier cake. Jasper and I held the knife together and cut a slice from the cake, he made me take the first bite and then I made him take his bite. As I wiped my hands with a paper towel, Jasper walked to Ryan and ask him to hand him a microphone. I stood by the cake wondering what he was up to, Ryan gave him a microphone.

"Good evening everybody." He begins to speak through the microphone.

"Usually the Best Man and the Maid of Honour talk about the Groom and the Bride but I think they've done a lot by setting this place up for the reception. To be honest, Holly and I had no hand in it." He turns to Emma and Ryan, "Thank you, it's amazing." they nod with a smile.

"Many know that I'm not much into speaking and even when I proposed to Holly, I kept it pretty short," he speaks to the people. "Most of you sitting here know Holly and me only after we started dating but it all began when we were made partners for a very small assignment back in the graduating years." he smiles.

"Mrs Robins, if it weren't for you, Holly and I would probably be just acquaintances." Of course, we had invited the person who came up with the whole assignment but Sarah told me it was fate that Jasper and I chose the same number from the box.

"So, Holly and I met each other on the day we were told about a club assignment and then our two best friends, that is Emma and Ryan made us meet again on a Thanksgiving day. We got talking and I got to know about her a little and then made a small request, I asked her if she could spend Christmas with my family. That would be great for the assignment and a good time for Holly to have at home." He speaks and I slowly walked towards him.

"My heart and my mind had no intentions at first to fall for her.." He shook his head with a little chuckle. "But I did."

"She's a strange one. Pretty clumsy." I chuckle. "But she turned my world around. She is the person who I can stay up after midnight talking about even the slightest trouble I have." He turns to look at me.

"We knew almost nothing of each other when we told each other what bothered us for a long time. We were strangers and yet I felt comfortable telling it all to her." I wipe the tear that fell on my cheek.

"I do not know how my life would have been if Holly never came into mine. I wouldn't want my life to be any other way. My life is perfect with Holly and my family." there were more tears that fell on my cheeks, I wipe them again. He turns again and looks at me.

"I love you, Holly Anne." I giggle and hug him and give a small peck on the lips before I took the microphone from him and turned to everybody.

"He pretty much told everything but my life would have been a bigger mess had he not come into my life. Every time when I need his advice on anything, he tells me to look at a different perspective of the problem."

"He's my miracle because he changed me from who I was into what I am and I wouldn't have my life any other because I'm not sure how it will be without him." I felt his arms around my waist, I turn to him.

"I love you more Jasper." I look up to his eyes and say, he leans down and places a kiss on my lips. I heard everybody in the room applaud and cheer by raising their champagne glasses in the air. Ryan announced that it was time for our dance.

Jasper and I had a tough time deciding what to dance on. We didn't have a song and I was frustrated by the end of it. One night when I sat up with one of my work, I heard a song play and I carefully listened to it and knew that I found our song.

The music begins and Jasper took my hand in his hand walked to the centre of the small dance floor that was there. I put my arms around his neck while he had his around my waist and we danced to our song. The whole time, I looked at his eyes and so was he. The happiness on our face wouldn't wear out anytime soon.

Dancing with him,

Kissing him,

Loving him felt so right.

---

The evening ended well. The dinner was amazing and towards the end of it, everybody was up on their feet dancing to the music the DJ was playing. I danced with my father while Jasper danced with my mother and then my parents danced.

Since Jasper secretly booked our honeymoon, we decided to stay over at a hotel because we were flying out next day in the afternoon.

Jasper and I got out of the car and the people at the door that handles luggage came to take our things while Jasper and I got the key to our room. I wanted to get to the room and just get out of my gown because it was impossible to walk with heels and the gown.

We were told to wait in the waiting area just till everything was set for us. After fifteen minutes or so, Jasper and I took the elevator to the floor that had the room we were staying in. When the elevator door opened on our floor, we step out of the elevator but before I could take my next step, I couldn't feel the ground. I felt an arm on my back and another arm to hold my legs, I frown and look at Jasper, he laughs and walks with me in his arms.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Nothing. Haven't you seen the man carrying his newlywed wife in his arms?" he smirks, I look away with a blush.

We stopped in front of a door, thankfully I was holding the key. I scan the keycard on the door and Jasper pushes it slightly more to let ourselves in. Once we were in, Jasper set me back on my feet. I kiss him on his lips and thank him.

I walk to my suitcase and pulled out something to wear for the night. Nothing too special because Jasper and I were just too tired and we had a long journey the very next day. I remove the heavy makeup and let my hair lie loose, it felt so good. I wore my large jumper, a pair of my sweat shorts and got out of the bathroom.
