I lay in bed and stared at the ceiling. I wasn't sure if what time it was.

It's been a day after Christmas and I could still feel his lips on mine. I'm being silly now. Oh, but it felt magical.

The entire day yesterday, all I could think of whenever I saw him was to kiss him on those amazing lips. He was right, kissing under the mistletoe just makes me want to kiss him more and he and I wanted to take things as slow as a snail.

As much as I wanted to get out of bed, dress for the day and see him, I wanted to lay under the cosy blanket and daydream all day.

Just when I was about close my eyes and snuggle for a bit more, I heard someone knock on my door.

"Yeah?" I yell.

"It's Jasper." I heard him say, my eyes widen and kicked my blanket to the side and jumped out of bed, hoping and praying during the entire act that I don't embarrass myself again.

"Just a minute!" I yell again as I reached for my robe and wore it. I walked to the door and opened the door.

There he was, oh how could he be so beautiful!

"Morning Holly." I snap out as he greets me.

"Morning." I giggle and say. "You just woke up, didn't you?" he laughs a bit.

"Not really, I was about to get ready for the day." I casually reply, he nods. "I wanted to talk to you about something but it's not really that safe yet to have it here at the door," he tells me.

"Oh okay, come in then." I say and moved behind the door to let him walk in.

"You could have called me on the phone you know." I say as I closed the door. "I wanted to see you and then talk about it." he tells me, I nod and wait for him to speak.

"I was thinking since we confessed our feelings and kissed under the mistletoe without even asking you out properly, if we could go out somewhere for a little lunch or even just an outing." he was excited, I could see it in his eyes but he just kept himself calm as he told me about his thoughts.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" I ask him.

"Between you and me, yes, I'm asking you out on a date." he smiles. I smile and nodded my head, "I would love to go out on a date with you.".

"Great, so we shall leave around eleven and don't worry about your outfit too much, it can be anything casual," he tells me as he walks to the door. "I'll see you downstairs." I say, he nodded his head a little and then I saw him leave the room.

"Oh My Gosh!" I squeal and jumped for a minute out of absolute excitement before I ran in to freshen up for the day.

After breakfast, I helped Sarah clear up the table. Juliet volunteered to wash the dishes so I was free to go up to my room.

I got into my room and sat down on the bed, I took my phone and dialled Emma's number. I told her about what happened at night on twenty-fifth December and yesterday, I got no chance to call her.

"Hey, Emma!" I greet her the minute I heard the phone being picked up, but the voice I heard did not belong to Em.

"Oh hey Holly, how are your holidays going?" I heard him say.

"Why are you answering Emma's phone, Eliot?" I roll my eyes and ask him. "She has a terrible habit of leaving her phone in the living room, I happened to be here when you called." I could sense a smirk on his face.

"Whatever, give the phone to Emma," I tell him.

"What will you do if I don't do that?" I didn't like the way he said that but before I could even respond to him, I heard Emma in the background.

"Give me the phone." there was a little disturbance for a moment and then I heard Emma say "Jerk".

"Hey Holly, I'm sorry for not answering the call. He's such a jerk and I can't wait to go back to New York." she rambled.

"It's okay and I can't wait to see you as well." I say.

"Me too anyway, tell me, what's up?" she asks me. "And why didn't you call me yesterday? I wanted to know about you meeting him." I chuckle.

"I'm sorry about not calling yesterday, there were things here to be done." I tell her.

"It's okay, now tell me what happened on Christmas night." I took in a deep breathe, "Nothing happened." I try and hide my excitement.

"What do you mean by nothing happened? Did you chicken out or something?" she quickly asks me.

"No, I didn't chicken out. We met but he just wanted to know how my day was, that's all." I shrug a little.

"Are you serious? He wanted to meet you after dinner just to know how your day was?! OH MY GOD!And you did not initiate the topic." I wanted to really laugh at her reaction.

"Of course not, you think I would do that?" I heard her let out a sigh. "Maybe Christmas was not your day, I swear I prayed that something should happen but I guess God has other plans." I giggled.

"Why are you giggling?" I stop giggling, "Nothing, Jessica just showed me a funny picture." I try and lie.

"Well, what a good lie like as if I'm going to believe that you're talking to me about your Christmas night in front of his own sister." I was never good at lying then why on earth did I even try here.

"So what's up." I let out a breath.

"He's taking me out today." I finally gave her what she wanted.

"I knew it! The feelings are mutual. Oh God! thank you so much for listening to my prayers! Oh, Holly Anne Winters this is some really good news." I giggled as she went on with her excitement.

"Did you guys kiss?" She quickly asks.

"There was a mistletoe." I leave it at that. "You guys had your first kiss too!" She squeals. "I mean like Jasper and your first kiss, I know you've had your first kiss anyway...How was it? Did you feel anything?" She asks me.

"I'm not going to tell you about it."

"Was it bad? Describe it!" She almost begged. "I'm not going to discuss the kiss. All I'm going to say, for your sake, is that I felt sparks when it all happened." I heard her squeal more.

"Oh Holly, I'm so happy right now!" I shook my head but I couldn't help but giggle along with her.

We spoke for a bit longer after that on random topics. I've never understood how it happens but I guess it begins once you know the other person very well.

Once my talk with Emma ended, I decided to redo my hair for my date. Jasper wanted it to look like as if he was just asking me to come along as a friend, which meant that my first date will not be all dressed up. Since it wasn't snowing today and it wasn't very cold, my outfit was perfectly alright for the day.

I redid my hair and put on some comfortable boots and walked out of my room with my little purse in my pocket.

I headed into the dining room, Jessica was sitting at the table with colour papers and she was sticking some papers together. I took a seat beside her and watched her do her craft. When she realised that I was sitting next to her, she asked me if I could help her out in making some origami flowers.

As I folded the square paper according to the directions given in the little book, I looked up at the clock and saw that it was almost eleven.

I felt the sudden rush of excitement but I had to contain it.

Sarah walked into the room as well and sat down in her chair with some files she had to work with. I continued to fold the paper to make more flowers. I was on the third flower when I heard someone's footsteps.

I turned to look, Jasper was standing at the entrance of the dining room. I blush and look down at the flower I was making.

"Mom?" I heard him say, Jessica, looked towards Jasper so did I.

"Yes, Jasper?" Sarah looked up from the work she was doing.

He cleared his throat, "I was thinking if I could take Holly out to see Philadelphia since she hasn't come here before." I turn to look at Sarah, she had no expression on her face. Maybe it was the work.

"I mean, the mall and the department store is not all of Phili." Sarah nodded her head. "True. How long are you two planning to be out?" she asked him, I look at him as well. He stood there for a minute and thought and then answered. "She needs to see some of the lights, so we should be back in time for dinner. Also, you needn't worry, I'll keep you posted about us." he spoke very convincingly.

"Alright. Holly?" I turn to her. "Have fun. There's a lot that happens during the holidays here in Phili." she smiles, I nod and looked at Jessica. "Have fun, Holly. I can't wait to be an adult for such curfew." she went back to her work, I chuckle and got up from the chair.

I walked to where Jasper was standing. "Drive safe Jasper." We heard Sarah say before we turned to head for the door. "I will!" He yells a little.

Jasper reached for the door and opened it for me. I got out and then we walked to his car. He opened the passenger side door for me, he closed once I was seated. He ran and got in and seated himself in the driver's seat.

He pulled out of the driveway and drove out of the neighbourhood. The road was shovelled in the morning after last evening's snowfall. The snow was white and made the road looked good. Strange why I would even think of that.

Soft music played in the background but we spoke nothing. It felt like as if we were going out like the time before.

"So, what's on the itinerary, Mr Anderson?" I decided to start the conversation.

"Um, nothing that you should know of right now. It's a surprise." He smiled as he replied.

"A surprise, I see. Can I ask you something?" He nods his head.

"Why is it when the girl asks about where they are going on a date to the guy, does the guy say it's a surprise?" I ask him.

"It depends actually." He looks at me as he stopped at a traffic light. "Sometimes they guy may have planned a lot for it and might really want to surprise but mostly it's maybe because they are nervous of how it might turn out. I can't be sure of it." He answers.

"So where do you stand?" I ask him.

"I'm not nervous, I'm sure you'll have a great evening." He chuckles and continued to drive.

Jasper soon entered the town. There were people on the street and some cars along with ours. Jasper waved at some of the people he knew on the way and drove further through the town.

In the next twenty minutes, we were in the city. The route was familiar since I had come a few days back to go shopping.

It wasn't very crowded which is unusual but when Jasper found it hard to find a proper parking, I realised that nothing was unusual. After searching for a bit, the car had a good spot to be parked in.

I got out of the car once Jasper parked the car. I walked to his side and then the two of us crossed the street and walked down the sidewalk.

"So where are we going now?" I ask him as we walked.

"Thought of having an early lunch. There's a lovely restaurant Michael told me about, actually even Juliet recommends it to everyone." He tells me. "However the only issue is that it has no parking nearby, even if there is it's very unlikely to find one for yourself." He adds.

Hence we parked the far away. It's good that I didn't wear high heel boots.

"We're here!" he stopped in front of a double glass door. The man behind the door saw us and opened the door for us; like a gentleman, Jasper let me in first. The man at the desk greeted us with a lovely warm smile.

"Reservations for Anderson." Jasper tells him, the man nods his head and tells one of the waiters to guide us to our table.

The restaurant was full and there were couples and families having a great time. The waiter stopped in beside a table, Jasper thanked him and the waiter left. Jasper made sure if I was comfortable before he seated himself opposite to me. The waiter came back with two menu cards and left again.

I didn't want to look down at the menu, I wanted to sit here and look at the boy sitting in front of me. I could be lost forever in those eyes, those eyes had so much that many wouldn't see. I might be looking like a fool right now but I don't really care about that.

Jasper's grandmother was right, everybody gets a miracle every year and I think my miracle is sitting right in front of me.

How did I get so lucky?

"Holly?" I snap out of my thoughts, "You alright?" I quickly nod my head. "I'm good." I smile, let's order some lunch." I say.

"Sure, let's order some lunch." he nods his head and we looked down at the menu we were holding.
