I went back to the cafeteria where everyone was already waiting for me with food in front of them. Suddenly I remembered that I told them I was going to buy juice for myself. Okay okay, I'll just tell them that there was no more left and I didn't want to take another one.

"Didn't you go to buy juice? Did you meet your "AMAZING" boyfriend and forget about it?" Shay said in a cute, but very artificial voice, you could still feel her hatred towards Damon in her voice.

Wait until you make up with Elijah and then we'll see if you hate my boyfriend or not.

"You know I actually thought of someone who could be your date for today's party, but as you're offending my boyfriend, I'll actually leave it a secret."

"Wait wait wait, tell me about him. You know I actually wanted my date to be really tall, to have blond hair and also green eyes. Please tell me that I'm correct and the guy you picked for me meets the criteria," she said looking at me with glowing eyes full of expectation. She looked at me like a child who wants to get her mother's permission to buy a lollipop.

"Uhm...yeah, he does, he certainly does," I said remembering Elijah's dark hair and grey eyes. At least he was tall, so I wasn't completely lying to her, right?

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa," she screamed in a way that the whole cafeteria turned to look at us.

Matt, Meggy and I turned our heads to kind of mentally transport ourselves to a place where we wouldn't be as embarrassed as we are right now.

"Anyway, Bailes I bought you lunch so that you don't waste time on standing in line, because as you can see today it's even worse, people are even standing outside the cafeteria," said Matt pushing a platter in my direction.

"Awwww Matty, you're the cutest human being in the world," I said seeing that all my favorite things from the menu are on the platter.

Matt blushed and smiled at me, while Meggy smiled at him. She wouldn't be able to forget him that easily. She thinks that going on dates with other guys will take his place in her heart, but it was so wrong. That place has belonged to him for so long that now it won't even let anyone else to occupy it even for a short period of time.

Meggy was silent, but then again, she was always the most silent one among us. But her silence spoke more than others' words. Like, for example, her beautiful sad smile and her hopeless romantic eyes told me so much more than if she said something at the moment.

"Hey Meggy, you're coming to my house, right? We gotta look awesome tonight! We're gonna party so hard!"

"I...actually I want you to meet me at the party...This time I want to look a bit different and I would like to see your genuine reaction, without you seeing me in the process too. Would that be okay?"

"Wow girl, now that's intriguing. Yeah, that's totally fine. Besides, I was going to leave the house earlier as Damon wants to help him with the preparations, so I probably wouldn't even be able to help you," I said winking at her. I wonder if that's Julian's influence, her wanting to try something different, to play with her appearance and possible appearances. I wouldn't say that's bad though. Let's see how she'll look.

"Okaaaaaay, so all the problems are solved and I'm gonna go to class in 10 minutes...aaaaand we'll see each other at the party, well, except for Shay cause we're going home together."

"Oh and Bay? We actually have another problem," Matt mumbled scratching his neck.

"Oh come on! Is there any time in this life when you solve all your problems and don't get additional ones? What is it? And don't tell me that you have an assignment and you won't make it, because I swear to God I will take this knife and-"

"Calm down woman, it's not that. Brittany said she won't be able to make it, because she has some kind of a family gathering or something. So, I basically don't have a date."

Meggy immediately lifted her eyes. It was so cute seeing how he gets her attention immediately every time.

"Family gathering? Really? Well, I guess we should just try and figure out something," I said putting my evil smile back, because I knew I was going to be a double matchmaker.

"Why are you smiling? Because she's not coming? I always knew you didn't like her," he said with a pissed expression.

Oh I actually forgot I didn't have to show him that I was this excited for him to go on an unofficial date with Meggy.

"Sorry Matty, I actually wasn't smiling because of that, I just thought of something else. We'll find you a date don't worry. Just stay in touch with me I'll text you if I find someone. Don't be sad because of that. Meggy let's go to class," I said all these phrases probably in 10 seconds because we didn't have much time. I picked up my bag from the chair and was ready to go.

Meggy followed me silently, but something felt odd to me so I went back to our table.

"But everything's okay between you and Brittany, right?" I asked suspiciously.

"What? Oh, yeah yeah, it's fine, don't worry about us. We're good," he said obviously lying to me. But was he the only one lying to me or she lied to him about the gathering and he lied to me? Ugghh relationships are so complicated. I tried to show that I believed him, when, obviously, I didn't. I knew him too well to believe that.

"Okay then. Also, Shay please just explore the university, make friends, do interesting stuff until I finish my classes for today. If you feel like you're bored, text me and I'll take you to class with me."

"Do you really think I will be more bored here than at your classes? And you don't have to answer the question, it was a rhetorical one."

I rolled my eyes and ran to class with Meggy.

"Meggy Megyy, you know what I'm about to say, don't you?"

"Huh? No, not really, at some point I realized I wasn't listening to you guys," she said feeling a little awkward saying that to my face.

"Seriously? That could've been one of the most important phrases in your life and you didn't even listen to it?"

"Did someone propose to me or something?"

I laughed noting the sarcasm in her comment.

"Yeah yeah, good one. No, but it could lead to that too. Matt just said that Brittany isn't coming to our party today and Matt doesn't have a date, which means that you can go with him and it'll finally be an opportunity for you guys to become closer to each other."

"No Bailey, this really isn't a good idea. I can't go with him. I already have a date," Meggy said with a sad expression on her face.

"You do, but it's not the person you've been in love for years. Besides, I'm sure he'll find a date in a minute, don't worry about him. Do what you think feels right for you Meggy," I said not believing that she would let this opportunity go.

"Listen Bailey, I wouldn't feel right to leave Julian, knowing that finding a date isn't a problem for him, but I don't want that. I finally began forgetting Matt and taking him out of my heart, I'm so tired of constantly having those little hopes inside me knowing we would never be together. Also, he already has a girlfriend, someone he loves. I would never want to come between them. So my answer won't be changed."

"You should've seen how you were smiling at him today and after that you think that you're forgetting him?"

"I know, I know, I still love him, I still love every little thing he does, but I began working on myself and I will change it for sure," she ended her last sentence and the professor came.

I texted Matt that she could come without a date because I was sure that we would find him someone in front of the entrance. Of course, Damon wrote on the invitations that no one could come in without a date, but I knew for a fact that many people would still try and stand in front of the door saying they couldn't find anyone. I wouldn't say that Matt was happy about this, but it was better than not having anyone as a date.

When the classes were over I called Shay and we went home together. I started the preparations for today's party and honestly my heart was beating so loud I couldn't calm myself down.

I slightly curled my hair with the iron and then put my hair up, leaving a few strands out. My makeup was simple, but at the same time, I think that emphasized the features that I wanted to. After working on the base a little bit, I applied eyeliner on my eyes, but this time it was a little different, as I made the line a little thicker. Completed working on my eyes after putting mascara on. Now it was time to move on to my lips and this time I choose a shade that felt like a mixture of dark pink and probably a little bit of brown. The last thing was adding gloss.

This time I decided that I was going to wear a long black dress that would beautifully embrace the curves of my body. I wanted to be elegant, with a little bit of sexiness too, he would appreciate it.

The dress was strapless and also had a beautiful opening that was going up my thigh. I also put a necklace and my father's ring on my finger. I don't know why, but I always feel like my father's ring is like a talisman for me. I put my black shoes on, took my purse and I was ready to go.

I finally opened the door of my room so that Shay takes a look at me. I knew that she loved to comment on every single detail, moreover, when it comes to clothes and going out. So I decided that this time she wasn't going to see me until I was ready.

"Damn sissy, you look hot!" she said applauding, "Good job."

I was surprised at her reaction as she never compliments you without saying that want detail was wrong though. I hugged her, told her that I would see her at the party and that she had to text me when she reached the place.

Let's skip the uninteresting part how the taxi driver couldn't find the place I was explaining him and how I walked the last 10 minutes on my heels and go straightforward to the moment I reached my baby, my Damon.

I called him to say that I was downstairs and he said that he couldn't come down, that I had to come upstairs alone. Of course, I wanted him to come and help me, but I could do it on my own too.

When I went upstairs I understood why he didn't want to come down to me. I couldn't believe my eyes.
