《Stealing The Bad Boy's Heart》I had to do something about it

Elijah looked at her silently and from the look on his face I could say that he wasn't even going to say anything.
"Elijah? Aren't you going to say something?" Shay said coming closer to him.
He still wasn't going to say something, it was obvious now. It was even more awkward for me, because I didn't know how they knew each other and I couldn't even interrupt their conversation. I tried touching Shay with my arm telling her that we should go now, it's not the best timing as she could see. She pushed my arm away and went even closer to Elijah.
"Come on Elijah, talk to me. I hope you've been doing well all these years," she said asking with her facial expression to at least answer that.
"Good," he said looking down and leaving us.
"Come on Shay let's go. We have a class now," I took her hand and made her follow me because she was standing with a sad look on her face. I knew it was awkward for her and she wouldn't want anyone to see how she was "rejected", especially me. I always thought that she could get any guy and anyone she wanted would speak to her. But I didn't know 1 thing, that she probably didn't care enough about them. Judging from the situation that happened seconds ago, the person that she herself wanted to talk to, didn't want to talk to her at all.
She followed me quietly, which was so unlike her. She was always the one to talk without every stopping, literally. I wish I had her energy sometimes. I would've inputted the energy that she inputs in talking into something more important, like studying for instance.
"I didn't know he would be so rude. Such a jerk. Well yeah, it's logical...constantly communicating with his friends would sooner or later turn him into jerks like them too..."
"Don't call him that...I deserved it..."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I said not looking at her and walking towards my classroom.
"NO! Well, at least not right now..."
"Okay then...are you coming to class with me or do you wanna wait for me in the cafeteria?"
"The second option sounds better, don't wanna go to class when I have the chance not to," she said winking at me. At that moment her expression changed so quickly that it seemed like she wasn't sad moments ago, it wasn't her with a half-depressed face, disappointed that a guy didn't want to talk to her.
"Okay, do as you wish. Keep in touch with me and oh by the way don't leave the cafeteria because we won't have a table for lunch later. Stay there," I said pointing my finger at her so that she's attentive to what I'm saying. Sometimes she says 'yeah yeah yeah' and then doesn't do it. But the cafeteria table issue is an important one, this just can't be ignored or not paid attention to.
"First of all, don't tell me what to do baby sis, and second of all, I'll do it, but not because you told me to, but because I WANT to have a cute table during lunch."

"Whatever," I said going to my class.
It was Discourse Analysis and Dr. Wilson was even early for the class, as always. Honestly, Dr.Wilson has always been my idol in terms of being organized, I think he's the most organized person I have ever met. He never and when I say never I really mean NEVER misses a class.
I decided not to think about the party for now, at least I tried not to. I had to concentrate on the classes, because I didn't focus on them as much as I had to and as much as I did in the past. Moreover, the midterms are a few weeks away, so I had to be prepared.
Dr. Wilson's class ended and it was the time for my next class, Persuasive writing. Persuasion is really important these days. If you pay attention, most of the things that we face on a daily basis are in one way or another persuading us to do something. Be that a commercial, a poster, a product in a store or a movie. That's why I like this course a lot, I think it teaches me the skills that I know I'll use and I know are very relevant to our days.
There was another reason why I liked this course and it was because I was taking it with my best friend, Meggy. She sat next to me and we started talking about todays party until the professor would come.
"How are you doing blondie?" I said pointing at her hair. She smiled at me and I noticed how beautiful her smile was.
Have you ever met a person whose smile itself is a ray of sunshine? Well, Meggy's one of them. When she smiles, you automatically want to smile with her. So I smiled back at her.
"Good. I'm thinking about the party," she said winking at me.
"Listen do you want me to find a pair for you? Let's think of the options there's Drake from-"
"I already do have a pair Bailey, don't worry about me," she said looking away.
"Who's that?" I asked and then after thinking for a second I continued,"Is that...No...Is is it? Is that who I think it is?"
"Yeah, it's Julian," she said looking at me as if it was nothing. IT WASN'T NOTHING. He was playing with her. He's never serious about anyone. But this time I didn't say anything bad, because I said it thousand times and it was her decision to make.
"Did you invite him or he did?"
"It was me. I asked him if he had a date for today's party and he said he didn't, so I offered to be his date tonight."
"Wow! You're cool honeeey! I love your courage. but if you wanna know the truth, I think he might've said that he didn't have a date just to go with you, because he's not the one to stay without a date, or two, or three, well you got the point."
"Maybe. Maybe not, I don't know and at this point I don't even care. The important is that I have a date and I've never had one," she said showing me a sad smile.

"Agree. We're gonna have so much f-"
"Hello guys, sorry I'm late. Let's start the class very quickly. Put your phones in your pockets or in your bags," said Mr. Andrews who came to class in a hurry.
And I didn't even have the time to add my last word "fun." Anyway, the class went great, we talked about Aristotle's Rhetoric. How he categorized rhetoric into three types: ethos, pathos and logos.
It finally the time for us to go to the cafeteria and have the most brilliant lunch ever. I was so hungry that even for a second I thought of eating Meggy on the way to cafeteria. The contrast of my not wanting to have a breakfast and then running to the cafeteria as fast as I could to have lunch was so huge.
But today I had to forget about the idea of having a brilliant lunch because Shay was depressed and she didn't want that depression to pass unnoticed.
When we entered the cafeteria, we saw that Shay was sitting with a sad expression on her face and was putting papers from one side to another one and then back to the first place.
"What are you doing Shay?"
"Oh, it's so good you came, I was soo bored already. Oh and I'm...uh...categorizing stuff."
Meggy and I looked at each other with confusion.
"Categorizing stuff? What do you mean?"
"Well," she said picking up the papers from the table and showing them to me, "here are the numbers that I got while you were away. So, I'm categorizing them into 4: 1. guys I would go out with once, 2. guys I would go out if there was no one else, 3. guys I would totally date and 4.guys I would never ever date or call or text or anything."
"Wow, what an interesting thing to be occupied with," I said and Meggy pinched me signaling that I didn't have to be so rude.
"Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. I don't have date for today," and she started acting like she was crying, "You know what? I hate your boyfriend. You don't go to a party with a date, you go to a party to FIND a date."
"Shay...dear...sweetie...ARE YOU STUPID? You just categorized those numbers. Why don't you go with one of those guys?"
"Because they don't meet my expectations of a perfect date for a party, that's a whole other category," she said in a "duh" voice and rolled her eyes.
"Okay okay, because you think you don't have a date BECAUSE of my boyfriend, which is not that logical, but Damon and I will find you someone. Just dress up and wait for him at our house," I said smirking.
"You would do that for me?"
"You know what kind of an incredible human being I am," I said flipping my hair.
All of us started laughing and I hope they weren't laughing because they disagreed with my statement and thought it was funny.
I left Meggy and Shay together and went to by some juice for myself from Sam's place. I knew I would find Damon there.
"Psssst pssst," I tried to call him in a way that no one would notice, but eventually every single guy turned his head except Damon.
"Damon Damon," I whispered and he still didn't hear me.
Now that I think about it, I could've just approached him or called him loudly, I was his girlfriend after all. I was whispering and stuff because I was on a mission, a love mission and spies never yell, but little did I know that being spies with Damon would work out so badly. With his hearing, we could never be spies.
"Damoooon," I yelled eventually.
"Angel? Why are you screaming? I don't have problems with my hearing."
Well, I would argue with that.
"Come here quickly, there's something I need to tell you," I said gesturing him to come.
"What happened? What's goin on?"
"Listen, my cousin doesn't have a date for today," I left my thought incomplete expecting him to understand. But I was wrong.
"So?" he said with a confused face.
"So, we have to do something about it. We have to be on a secret mission. Do you know what I mean?"
"Uhm...no?"
Face palm, that was my reaction at the moment.
"Long story short, something has happened between my cousin and Elijah in the past. So, they have to be each other's dates for today, BUT they won't know about it. Now tell me, tell me, tell me how cool I am," I said closing my eyes and waiting for his compliments.
"You're not, because Elijah never comes with a date and he won't this time either."
"But you wrote that a person without a date won't be let to enter the party."
"Do you really think I would let my friend out of the party just because he doesn't have a date? Plus, angel, I hate playing matchmaker, you know? People never appreciate your effort. If it doesn't work out, they immediately blame you not themselves."
"Listen Damon, I don't care about that and WE ARE GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I'll think of a plan and you just have to follow it. Meanwhile, don't tell him anything or you'll never get my kisses anymore. I'm warning you," I said and left with an evil smile on my face.

As a trapeze artist in a traveling circus, Corey wakes up every day in a different place, buzzing for the moment she can suspend gravity during the night's performance. When the circus pulls into small-town Sherwood, California, everything seems normal - aside from meeting the exceptionally cute Luke Everett at a local diner. But that night, in the midst of the performance, tragedy strikes and flames overtake the tent. While Corey narrowly escapes, in the ashes of the circus pitch lies the only home she's ever known. Repeatedly thrown out of her comfort zone, Corey must learn how to push toward her future without forgetting her past, what it means to be a daughter to a mother she's never known, and how to navigate the confusing magic of first love, even as she performs the high-wire act of being true to who you really are.
