"So you heard it all?" I said feeling sad for a reason.

"I did and I'm feeling disappointed in you. I haven't ever thought that you would fall for a person like him. Moreover, I wouldn't ever think that you'd kiss him," he said not looking at me.

"First of all, he was the one who kissed me because he said that he liked me. Second of all, -"

"Did you kiss him back?" he said looking all serious.

"What kind of questions are these Matty?"

"Bailey did you?"

"I did, but then I -"

"That's what I needed to know and that's enough. Above everything I'm just hurt that you couldn't be honest with me and tell me about it," he said leaving me standing there.

"Matt! Wait!"

He left without even turning back.

I lost my appetite. That's why I just went back to our table where Meggy was sitting alone.

"Bailey? Where have you been for so long? Matt came to find you, but here you are. Did you not meet each other?"

"We did and he left," I said looking at the direction where he left me standing.

"Did something happen Bailey?"

"Yes. He saw me standing and talking to Damon about how he has kissed me. So, he got angry with the fact that I didn't trust him enough to tell him about that. And he just left."

"Woah woah woah. I don't even know how to react. You and Damon kissed? So are you, like, dating now?"

"No, it was just a kiss, that's how he put it and he's dating Jenna again."

"But would you want to date him?"

"No Meggs I wouldn't. Even after he told me he likes me, all of his actions are contradicting his words. How can I be with a person who doesn't understand himself? How can I be with a person who isn't consistent and likes someone then changes his mind?"

"Wait so he told you he likes you?" she couldn't hide the astonishment in her beautiful green eyes.

"Yeah he did, but I didn't believe him. I told him to prove it, but as you can see I was right."

"Oh My God. I'm shocked. But honey if you wanna know my opinion I'm still gonna ship both of you together. You are complete opposites and it's so cool how you attract each other."

"Do you even hear yourself Meggy? What are you talking about? It's not like that and we'll never be together."

"You never know what's gonna happen, but I do," she said looking at me with an expression that clearly says " I know what I'm saying. I know something that you don't."

I didn't know about Damon, but right now I was pretty hurt by Matt's words. As if she read my mind Meggy started asking me about Matt.

"So what are you gonna do about Matt?"

"I was just thinking about him and I have no idea what to do. For now let's just go to class and we'll see what's going to happen after," I said this and got up to go to class.

"Bailey?"

"What? Aren't you coming to class?"

"Bailey today we only have one class."

I face palmed myself remembering the reason why I like Tuesdays and Thursdays. It was because I had only one class. How could I forget about that? I'm going insane.

"Right. That's good because I can go home. I'm not feeling good."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"Honestly, I do. Do you have time for me?"

"Of course I do. I always have time for you. That's what friends are for, right?"

I hugged her tightly to show her how much I love you. Despite the fact that we've been friends for a short period, we are so close now and I'm incredibly happy for that.

We leave the cafeteria and see that Julian is standing there with a couple of girls and guys. For an unknown reason he waves at me.

"Bailey come here."

Meggy looked at me in surprise. I whispered her in the ear that I would tell her about that when we go home and she nodded.

I would really like to turn away and go in the opposite direction, but as I had to pass by them to go downstairs and leave the university I went towards them. I didn't look at him and continued my way, as I was done with Damon and his friends, really done or at least I thought I was.

He told his friends something and followed me.

"Bailey!Did you not hear me calling your name?"

"Why are you asking obvious questions? I know for a fact that you know I intentionally ignored you. Why are you asking me about that then?"

"I love your character so much. You feel like fire to me. I like it so much. Do you know that I like playing with fire?"

"Sorry, not interested in you and your hobbies. Bye."

"Wait don't go. I wanted to introduce you to my friends."

"Introduce ME to your friends? How are you gonna introduce me and why?"

"Well, I want them to meet my new friend who may one day become something more. Who knows?"

"Julian I met you literally an hour ago. I'm not your friend and I don't want to become something more either. Never ever."

This whole time Meggy was looking at us without saying anything. She was only turning her head to the right and then to the left when we took turns talking.

Julian turned his head and looked at Meggy. She immediately blushed.

"Well hello there. What's your name beauty? My name is Julian," he said extending his hand waiting for hers to take his hand.

I wanted to tell him to stay away from Meggy, but she answered before I could say something.

"M-Meghan," she said extending her hand and putting it into his.

He takes her hands and kisses it.

"Nice to meet you Meg. You have the most beautiful name. Hope to meet you again," he said winking at her and walked back to his friends.

We went downstairs and Meggy looked at me with a face that reminded me a question mark.

"It's a long story."

"Well, we have a lot of time. Don't we?" she said smiling at me.

I told her everything that happened today and she was so shocked she couldn't even close her mouth. She resembled the blueish yellow emoji with the hands on both of the sides of her head with the surprised facial expression.

We were already home when I finished telling her everything and she was finished asking me questions. Now it was my turn and I started with an easy one.

"Do you want a cup of tea?"

"Yes please," she said smiling at me.

I realized that one of the reasons why I like her is the fact that she's always positive and smiles a lot. That makes her so easy to talk to and to trust to.

"Okay. I'll be back in a couple of minutes."

While making the tea I also wanted to see whether I had fever or not. So, I put the thermometer under my armpit and waited for 5 minutes.

"Baileeeey. Aren't you done? Why are you gone for so long?"

"I wanted to know whether I had fever."

"And?"

"I do have a fever. It's 38C."

"Come here, we'll do everything for you to feel better."

"Why are you so caring Meggy?"

"Coz I'm your friend?"

She brought a blanket from my room and covered me with it and then gave me my cup of tea. She was constantly asking whether I needed anything, but I said that it's okay. Mom's gonna be back at night and she'll give me the pills I have to take to feel better.

"Noooow, I have some questions to ask you."

"Me? Nothing happened to me," she said not understanding what I meant.

"I wouldn't agree with that. What was happening there with you and Julian? You surely like only redheads for sure," I said laughing.

"Oh that? It was nothing. It's not like I like him. You know too well that I only like Matt, though I should probably just move on. He's not interested in me even for a bit."

"He isn't interested because he doesn't know you. I left you alone with him today. Didn't you talk to each other today?"

"No we didn't. I mean I tried to say something, but I felt that he wasn't listening to me. He was lost in his thoughts and then when I asked him something he answered my question with an answer that didn't even match it."

"That's really bad. We should try to do something, as I know for sure that you would suit Matt better than Brittany that's for sure."

"Not really. I just work on myself to forget about him."

"Is that why you blushed when talking to Julian?" I said smiling and winking at her.

"I'll be honest with you Bailey. I'm not gonna hide and say that I wasn't looking for someone to take Matt's place in my heart. The thing is that I don't even know what happened with Julian. I think that I blushed because you know very well I'm extremely shy and that's it," she said sadness covering her face.

I put my hands on her to comfort her in some way.

"I would really like him to see what I see in you and I hope that he can see it one day, when it's not too late."

We watched a movie, had a conversation once again. We had so much to discuss that we didn't notice how 2 hours passed like a second. Most importantly, I didn't even feel that I was sick.

Someone knocked on the door and I got up from the coach to open it. I wrapped myself with a blanket, as I was cold because of the fever.

I opened the door and saw the person I didn't expect to see.

"What are you doing here Damon?"

He was standing there with a serious expression. I felt that he was feeling uncomfortable.

"Can I come in? I have to talk to you."

"Aren't you tired of saying the same things over and over again?"

"Look angel is your time that valuable that you can't even talk to me?"

"There's nothing to talk about. I'm not the girl you like and the fact that you kissed me was a mistake. Everything is settled you can go now," I said trying to close the door, but he knew that and prevented the door from closing.

"Damon let's just make something clear, you don't like me and there's no reason for you to be here."

My head started hurting again and I put my hand on my forehead, as if to prevent it from aching that much.

"Are you sick?"

"It doesn't concern you, just go away. You humiliated me enough."

He started approaching me to go into the house I suppose, but I hear another voice at that moment.

"Aw princess have you found your new prince already?"

Damon recognizes the voice and turns to look at Lucas.

"What are YOU doing here?" he looked at him throwing daggers at him with his eyes.
