《He Never Loved Me (#Wattys2019)》Pretty Girl

I guess you can say I was a very pretty girl - one can say that at first sight. I was a well-behaved lady, my face was young without one blemish or mark, a perfectly semi pale complexion.
I was not tall nor was I short, but somewhere in between. My shoulders were somewhat broad and I always seemed to hold this noble head high with the confidence of a goddess. My hair was thick with satin jet-black curls that blew softly in the morning breeze.
Some days, as they did so, they looked like the black waves that fill oceans on stormy nights. My brow was soft, quizzical, and composed with purity and wisdom; Jaw was set and my mouth was plump, straight, and the color of the Joseph's Coat rose.
Many stated that my eyes- they were deep as a great body of water- indeed- but they were as brown as the best morning cup of tea, they could look through anyone without fear as if they already knew what they were to find and that you should be very ashamed of whatever it was that found my judging gaze.
My eyes may seem to become oceans- and lakes and rivers but then- you would not doubt if they could become the spark that set forests and wildernesses wildly ablaze when my spirit was kindled in anger.
My dress was exquisite and my crown old and withered from its long days in sun; yet - my array looked finer than a queen's. I was very sensible and simple.
Although he would always state that my eyes carried a fire bright enough to put the sun to shame, but in reality I wasn't as strong as everybody thought I was. I was the type of girl who everyone saw as a goddess sent from the sky, they believed I was the type of girl who can get through anything.
That I was the girl who breezed through heartbreaks, the one who can find someone else, someone better, always. The girl who is so independent, so strong, so willed so unflawed. Or so they think.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
