《Aeternum: A Collection of Poems》Monsters

A wise man once said,

Love makes us monsters

Since it's something that

Would make you go bonkers

And the truth is when we love someone

As a famous saying goes

We either die a hero,

Or live long enough

To see ourselves become the villain

So I guess the question that really matters

At this point in time

That we should ask ourselves

What would you do for the sake of love?

For when I saw thee, falling from the heavens above

I knew right away that you were worth the risk

So please forgive me, my dear

For whatever I may do; please know that

I only did those things for the sake of you

So knowing this, if I may ask you this:

Can you still love me, a beast in the eyes of many?

Hi my dear Kenneth-ers, I hope you're liking my literary pieces so far. Anyways, this poem is actually inspired by Sir Thomas Sharpe from the film Crimson Peak, as well as the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast. 🧐
