The Game of Gods
Charles earns the ultimate surprise one morning when he awakens to discover the world has ended, or rather the gods of old were bored and decided to redesign how it worked. Everyone else got a nice little message that showed up their vision, everyone else woke up when the gods decided to make their decision known. Only Charles gets cursed by the gods, and only Charles gets a visit from one as well. The Game of the Gods has begun and the monsters of old are returning to our world, and all it took was the death of half the world's population and counting. The path to becoming one is not an easy one and there is always a new step to reach. Our story starts in one of the Tower where Aspirants try to become Arcanists. It's the story of Nikolaï, his struggles, his hopes, his journey ... in a word his life. A small WARNING from Ben: English is not my native language. I'm pretty confident in my ability to read it and understand it but there is a big gap between that and being able to properly write.My grammar being already "not so great" in my own language it makes sense to not expect a flawless one in another one. So when he is told he has to train and set up an outpost with a Prince? Lydia, a rat has been tasked with an impossible mission, infiltrate the Everguard and destroy it from within. What happens though when you start to make friends with the enemy? What's a critter to do? ...................... Ideas and concepts taken from the Board Game Everdell, I'm a new author and I don't take this book that seriously and am just using this as practice for third-person writing in a light setting. I don't own the cover art and will gladly take it down should asked.
