Arohi and Arjun stood at her bedroom door. "Goodnight" Arjun said for the 3rd time leaning in for another soft kiss. "Good night" Arohi said in reply. "Maybe I should come in." Arjun said leaning down for another kiss. Arohi pulled away laughing. "GOOD NIGHT ARJUN!" She said giggling as she shut the door on his face.

She had just had the best night of her life. Arjun's proposal had been so romantic, she thought as she looked at the engagement ring on her finger for the 100th time that night. She was going to be Mrs. Singhania, she thought twirling around the room. And Arjun's song for her had been the cherry on top to make the evening absolutely perfect. She couldn't believe he had hid this talent from her. The dinner had been absolutely delicious and then swaying in Arjun's arms to the sound of the surf had completed her perfect night. She was going to marry the man she loved. What could be more perfect then that, she thought. As she readied herself for bed she decided not to tell the family until they got here. She wanted to surprise everyone. She knew her dad and Rudra uncle would be over the moon. They did get their way after all.

As Arjun put on his t-shirt he played back the evening and Arohi's expression when he had proposed. She had been so happy. He knew she'd say yes, but still there had been a part of him that had been alittle nervous. He'd called Arohi's dad before he had actually proposed, asking for her hand in marriage. Suffice to say Arohi's dad had been ecstatic. But he'd told Arjun not to tell his dad. He said he wanted to tell him on his own. Arjun had been fine with that. In a couple of days their families would be arriving and he knew, once they found out about the proposal the wedding planning would start. Which he had no problem with, because now that the proposal was done he wanted to get married to Arohi as soon as possible. He wanted to make Arohi his forever.

Arohi and Arjun were extremely busy the next two days. Getting things done at work and for the hotel's grand opening and then ofcourse preparing for a houseful of guests. Arjun teased her that she was already acting like a wife the way she bossed him around to do this, or finish that before all the "guests" arrived. But Arohi did want everything to be perfect. Especially with the grand opening. Her dad and Rudra uncle had handed them a huge responsibility. She just hoped they were happy with the results.

Arjun opened the door and started ushering everyone into the house. In walked Arohi's parents, with a surprise for Arohi with them. And Arjun's parents and his sister Sara. And then the Chandigarh Ahluwalia clan. Arohi's cousin's Riya, Sanchit, Raj, Priya and Sonia. Plus her chacha, chachi and thaiyaji and thaiji. When Arjun had seen everyone at the airport he had felt a little overwhelmed. It was going to be a crazy few days in his home he thought smiling. Arohi stood at the top of the stairs and as she saw her family walk in, she raced down the stairs and ran right into the arms of her dad. "Dad, I missed you" she said with a smile on her face. Then the hugs and kisses and laughter started. Arohi was passed from relative to relative. She was so lost in family that she didn't notice a special someone until a few minutes later. And then she stopped. "Aria," she said slowly. Then she laughed with tears forming in her eyes and threw her arms around her best friend. "You said you couldn't come?" she said through her teary laughter. "I know, but Arjun convinced me." she answered. Arohi turned towards Arjun and gave him a teary eyed smile and mouthing thanks.

As Arohi showed everyone their rooms and got everyone comfortable she looked over at Arjun. He was laughing with her cousin's and her chachu. They had already excepted him into their fold, wait until they found out about the proposal. After settling in and having lunch, everyone congregated in the family room. Arohi sat down in the middle of the sofa, a cousin on each side. "Priya can you pass me that magazine." she said pointing to the table. Priya grabbed it for her. Arohi made a big show of taking the magazine with her left hand, flashing her ring. No reaction. Priya didn't even seem to notice. Arohi tried again. "Thaiji, I love the embroidery on your sari." Arohi said outlining the work with her ring finger. No reaction. "Hmm," she thought. Just then the housekeeper brought in the tea. Arohi jumped up. "Let me serve it." she said. She again made a big production of waving her hand around as she poured the tea and served it. Looking over at Aria, she saw Aria giggle. Aria, ofcourse already knew about the proposal but she couldn't believe how clueless her usually perceptive famiyl was being. She stood staring at everyone, her hands on her hips when she heard Riya scream. Turning around she asked her in a panic "What's wrong?" "Diii" she screeched again. "What is that on your ring finger?" Arohi smiled slowly. FINALLY! " What she said looking at her ring finger." Everyone was now staring at her with their mouthes open. "Let me see, what could it be?" "Could it be the diamond engagement ring Arjun gave me when he proposed." she said yelling." "Everyone started screaming and laughing and hugging at once. Arjun watched the craziness unfold and smiled ruefully. This crazy family was now going to be his crazy family. Arohi's Chachu came and patted him on the back. Sanchit and Raj came and shook his hand. Arjun glanced at his dad and was taken aback. Next to him sat Arohi's dad and they both had smiles on their faces and Arjun's dad actually had tears in his eyes. Arjun couldn't believe it and for a second he felt a knot in his throat too. He was happy that his and Arohi's decision had made his dad so happy.

So ofcourse the celebrating and the planning started . The parents already running through dates. The decision was made that since Ishaan, who would be arriving in 2 days for the grand opening could only stay for 5 days the engagement would be done while he was here. The date was set for 2 days after the grand opening event. Arohi felt her head spinning. Everything was happening so quickly she thought. Arjun had to get back to the office so he excused himself, and said he's see everyone tonight. Before he left, he caught Arohi's eye and motioned for her to see him out. She waited to make sure everyone was busy before she sneaked out. Arjun waited for her in the hallway. "Happy?" he asked. "Exstatic!"Arohi answered. "Good, now come on quickly give me a kiss, I gotta get to the office." Arohi gave him I don't think so look. Arjun gave her a confused look back. "Arjun, are you crazy?" "You're going to need to control your besharm ways while our families are here." she said turning away. Arjun pulled her back. "We're engaged." he said. "Yes, but we're not married yet," and she said looking behind her and trying to get Arjun to release her arm. "You can't just grab me at anytime like you usually do." Arjun stared at her in shock, like she'd just told him the most horrible news ever. Then he started walking back to the family room. "Where are you going?" Arohi whispered as he pulled her along with him. "I'm going to tell everyone to forget engagement parties, sangeets etc." "I want us married this weekend." Arohi tried pulling him back. "Stop it Arjun." She whsipered gritting her teeth. Arjun turned towards her. "I'll stop when I get what I want." he said smirking at her. Arohi stared at Arjun, he was as besharm as they got, she had no doubt he'd march in and tell their families to move up the date and the reason for it too!

Just then she heard her thaiyiji call her name. "Coming" Arohi said in a panic. Arjun gave her a big smile. "Am I coming with you then?" he asked. "No," she snapped, putting a hand behind his neck and pulling him down for a quick kiss. It would have been quick if it was anyone else, but this was Arjun she was dealing with. He grabbed the back of her head and didn't let her move away from the kiss. Arohi resisted for a second before she melted into his intoxicating kiss. "Arohi beta," came her thaiyji's voice which suddenly sounded closer. Arohi's eyes popped open as she tried pushing Arjun away. But would Arjun budge, oh my god she thought her heart beating rapidly for more then one reason now. Then suddenly Arjun let her go. "We'll continue where we left off when I get back." he said giving her one of his dimpled smiles that always made her melt. And then he was gone. Arohi leaned against the wall and took a deep breath. "Arohi, what are you doing standing in the hallway?" "I've been calling you, didn't you hear me?" her thaiyiji said coming around the corner. "Arohi sighed and said something to pacify her aunt. This Arjun she thought as she walked back with her aunt, he was going to give her heart failure one of these days.

Dinner finished, everyone lounged around between the living room and the family room. The adults were busy planning the engagement party even though Arohi and Arjun were already engaged, the families wanted to have a party to celebrate and to follow tradition. Arjun sat with everyone in the family room but he had his laptop with him. The "kids" all looked bored. "Di, let's do something." Priya whined. "What do you want to do?" Arohi asked looking around at everyone. "I don't know, anything." "We're getting bored." "Arjun," Arohi said looking pointedly at him, "could you please tear yourself away from that laptop and tell me how we should entertain our guests." Sanchit perked up at that moment. "Our guests huh di" "You already sound like you're married to Arjun." Arohi blushed as Arjun smiled at her knowingly. "You know what I meant" she snapped. "Anyways, let's do something with everyone." "The whole family hasn't been together since Shefali's wedding. "Let's play a game, get everyone involved. "Boring" Raj and Sanchit piped in. Arohi glared at them. "Do you have a better suggestion?" she snapped." Raj and Sanchit quickly sat up straighter. "No, a game is good." they said.

Arjun smiled and went back to his laptop. "Arjun!" Arohi yelled. "Let's go." "I'll be there in a bit." he said staring at the screen. Arohi walked over to Arjun and whispered in his ear "If you ever want a repeat of that kiss from this afternoon you better get up now." She looked down sweetly at him. Arjun looked from her to the laptop and then shutoff the laptop. He couldn't take any chances when it came to Arohi's kisses.

Arohi gathered everyone in the main hall. Pillows were brought out for everyone to lean on as they made themselves comfortable on the floor sitting in a circle. Arohi explained the rules of the game. "It's basically like hot potato, we'll pass the pillow around and when the music stops whoever has the pillow has to do whatever the rest of the group wants them to. "Like what?" her chachu asked suspiciously. "Last time I played a game like this you're chachi had me doing all her ironing for a week." "No chachu, whatever will be done will be done right now." For example a song, or acting out a movie, or some sort of other dare." Her chachu smiled and agreed. "Okay Priya and Riya are in charge of the music." "Start whenever you like girls." The music started and Arohi threw the pillow to Aria who threw it to Sanchit, and on and on it went. Arjun sat in the circle across from Arohi and every once in awhile Arohi would give him a small smile. Then the music stopped, and the first victim was her thaiyaji. "Okay what should we have him do?" Arohi asked. "A song, have him sing thaiyji a song." Everyone cheered. "A song, no no I don't sing." "Thaiyji a few lines, come on." "hearing everyone he started."

"Main shaayar to nahin

Main shaayar to nahin, magar ae haseen

Jab se dekha maine tujhko

Mujhko shaayari aa gayi

Main aashiq to nahin, magar ae haseen

Jab se dekha maine tujhko

Mujhko aashiqui aa gayi

Main shaayar to nahin

(Movie: Bobby)

Everyone cheered and Arohi's thaiji blushed. The pillow started circulating again. And this time it stopped on Arohi's mom. "I think I left the stove on." she said getting up. Arohi jumped up, I don't think so mom she said sitting her back down. "I don't know what to do." she said shyly. "Mom do a dance" Arohi said. Arohi's mom gave her a look. "No, no I can't dance." "Ofcourse you can, mom you're the best. "Come on I'll join you." she said grabbing Aria aswell.

Maye ni maye mundher pe teri, bol raha hain kaaga

Jogan ho gayi teri dulari, man jogi sang laaga

Maye ni maye mundher pe teri, bol raha hain kaaga

Jogan ho gayi teri dulari, man jogi sang laaga

Chan mahiya chan mahiya mere dol sapaiya

Chand ki tarah camak rahi thi us jogi ki kaya,

Mere dyare aakar usne pyar ka alag jagaaya,

Apne tan par bhasma ramaage

Sari rain woh jaaga

Jogan ho gayi teri dulari, man jogi sang laaga

Sun hiriye nach hiriye, Nagke rang jama,

Sun hiriye nach hiriye, Nagke dhum macha

Mannat maangi thi tune, ek roz main jaayo bihaayi,

Us jogi ke sang meri tu karde ab kudmayi,

In haathon mein laga de mehendi,

Baandh shagun ka dhagaa,

Jogan ho gayi teri dulari, man jogi sang laaga

Movie: Hum Apke Hain Kaun

Everyone cheered after the dance finished. Arohi's dad smiling at his wife and clapping the loudest. Arohi's mom smiled shyly. As Arohi walked back to her seat Arjun raised his eyebrows at her and mouthed SEXY. Arohi looked around to make sure no one noticed and then glared at him. Arjun found her dancing to maye ni maye sexy. What was she going to do with this boy. The pillow started circling and everyone got more panicky and excited as the group got smaller and smaller. This time the pillow stopped on Arjun's dad. "Tell a sher." Arohi's dad said to Rudra. "Shayari for bhabhi."

Phool khilte hain baharon ka samaa hota hai,

Aise mausam mein hi to pyaar javaan hota hai.

Dil ki baaton ko hothon se nahi kehte,

Ye fasaana to nigaahon se bayaan hota hai.

(Movie: Sarfrosh)

Arjun's jaw dropped, listening to his dad recite shayari to his mom. Everyone else cheered and clapped. "Arjun," Arohi's dad said. "You don't know but your dad wrote your mom quite a bit of shayari when he was trying to woo her ." "Woo?" Arjun thought as he stared at his dad like he was seeing him for the first time. Soon they were down to 4 people. Chachu, Aria, Arjun and Arohi. Arohi was doing everything in her power to win. Distraction was the way to go she thought as she winked at Arjun. The besharam winked back. Should have known, Arohi thought turning her distraction skills on her chachu. She started talking to him and her chachu was a talker so soon enough he was out. Aria, her and Arjun. The pillow went round and round and Arohi shrieked as she threw it at Aria half a second before the music stopped. Down to Arjun and Arohi. Arjun smirked at her and then leaned over whispering so only she could hear. "Give me another kiss and I'll let you win." Arohi glared at him. "How about I give you a swift kick in the ass." she whispered back. "Arohi is that the way you speak to your future husband?" "Now I'm going to have to win." he said. Arohi looked at him determinedly. We'll see about that she thought to herself. The pillow circulated and Arohi and Arjun stared at eachother as they passed the pillow to eachother over and over. Everyone was cheering and watching closely. "Arjun," Arohi said softly. "You know what I love most about when you touch me?" Arjun's eyes grew wide. "I love when you trail kisses along my neck and bite my earlobe." Arjun gulped, transfixed by Arohi's breathless sexy voice. "And I love when I take my hands and..." Arjun held the pillow waiting to hear the rest. But all he heard was cheering. The music was off and Arohi stared at Arjun triumphantly as he hugged the pillow to himself. Arjun looked at the pillow and then threw it to the ground. "Arohi won, Arohi won." everyone shouted. Arohi smirked at Arjun. Arjun smiled back at her. She might have won now but he was going to make sure he made her finish her sentence when he got her alone later on. "So di what are you going to make jiju do?" Arohi stood up and walked around Arjun. "Hmm..let me think" she said. Then with a sweet smile she said " I want a song." "Arjun has to sing me a song." "I think I left the stove on in the kitchen." he said imitating Arohi's mom and standing up.. But Arohi grabbed his hand and looked at him with a small smile and love in her eyes. "A song Arjun for me." she said softly. He looked at her and then nodded his head yes.

Arohi smiled shyly and looked at Arjun as he finished the song and everyone cheered. Aria poked Arohi in the side and made her blush. The game ended and as everyone got ready for bed Arjun pulled his Arohi into the laundry room and continued from where they left off this afternoon. Arohi's hesitation lasted for a second before she forgot everyone and everything other then Arjun's kisses.
