《Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (Arjuhi Fiction)》Part 14

Arohi nervously looked around as she walked into the arrivals area of the Mumbai airport. She couldn't believe she'd be seeing Arjun soon. Stay calm, cool and collected Arohi, she kept repeating to herself as she casually glanced around looking for his face in the crowd. "Arohi," she heard someone yell. Arohi turned around and saw Arjun's sister Rashi waving at her and coming towards her. She looked past Rashi but didn't see anyone else with her. Arohi felt disappointment wash over her. He didn't even come to receive me from the airport she thought to herself. Here I am getting nervous and worked up about seeing him and he doesn't even come to get me. She didn't care she told herself stubbornly as she straightened her shoulders and pasted a smile on her face. "Hi Rashi" she said as she made her way over to her, giving her a hug. "I hope you haven't been waiting long" Rashi said. "Mumbai traffic is horrible. Took me forever to get here." "No I just got here myself" Arohi said with a smile. Rashi kept up a steady conversation as they walked to the car. Arohi tried to pay attention but her mind kept wandering to why Arjun didn't come. Had he changed his mind about things she thought to herself. "Arohi did you hear me?" Rashi asked waving her hand infront of Arohi's face. "Huh? Arohi answered, Sorry what did you say?" "I was asking if you're hungry. Do you want to grab a bite to eat?" "No thanks I'm fine" Arohi answered. "We can stop somewhere if you're hungry though" Arohi said. "No I'm fine. I dropped by bhai's office this morning and we ended up ordering something in." "Actually that's when he asked me to pick you up. He had planned to come but he's been extremely busy with some project and last night he didn't even come home from the office. He ended up working all night." Poor Arjun, Arohi thought to herself as she silently chastised herself for jumping to conclusions But now that she knew why he hadn't come she instantly felt better. She'd see him soon, very soon she thought to herself.
When they pulled up to the Singhania mansion Arohi was blown away. It was huge and beautifully built. She walked in and was equally impressed by the elegant interior design. "Let me show you your room" Rashi said and took her up to a huge bedroom that was decorated in a warm neutral colors and contemporary style furniture. Arohi instantly felt at home. "Make yourself comfortable, if you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Consider this your home too." Rashi said with a smile. "Thanks" Arohi replied smiling back at Rashi.
"I think I'll unpack and make a few phone calls" Arohi said to Rashi as she started opening up her suitcase. "Sure no problem" Rashi replied. "Let me know if you want to go check out the office." You can get yourself acquainted with some of the people you'll be working with and meet Arjun bhai too" Arohi felt her heart skip a beat, that would be great she answered.
Arohi called home to Chandigarh letting everyone know that she had made it to Mumbai fine and that she was settling in well. After getting off the phone Arohi texted some friends that lived in Mumbai to let them know she was in Mumbai and would be staying for a while. Some texted back right away wanting to get together. She also hurriedly unpacked her stuff and then went down to find Rashi. Rashi insisted that they eat lunch before they headed to the office. Arohi pushed around her food on her plate, too nervous to even think about food.

Arohi felt butterflies in the pit of her stomach throughout the drive. As they approached the building Arohi was blown away by the sheer size of it. Ahluwalia Developers was a large company but this was massive. "This is Sinhgania Industries?' Arohi asked. "Yup, our whole operation works out of this building from production to upper level management. That's why its so large. Arjun bhai wants to access any area of the business when ever he wants so that's why he has this set up." "Impressive" Arohi said as they took the elevator to Arjun's floor. Rashi walked in and introduced Arohi to a few people. As they approached Arjun's office his assistant stopped them and told them Arjun was in a closed door meeting and she didn't know how long he would be. As Rashi thanked her she missed the disappointed look on Arohi's face.
Rashi showed Arohi her office and introduced her to a few more poeple. I know you've been to Mumbai before but you probably don't know about the local popular hangouts so since Arjun bhai is busy why don't we leave and I can show you some of the hot spots in our city. "Sure" Arohi agreed half-heartedly.
The two spent the rest of the afternoon out with Rashi getting Arohi oriented with the City. Exhausted they decided to stop off at a popular coffee bar. Rashi went to go get their coffees from the bar when Arohi's phone rang. Looking at the display she saw that it was Arjun. Instantly she felt butterflies in her stomach. Taking a deep breath she answered the phone "Hello" Pause...Then she heard a deep sexy voice say "Hi Arohi." Arohi smiled to herself. "How are you doing" he asked. "Good, Rashi's showing me around." I heard you were in the office and I missed you." "Yeah we dropped by, Rashi introduced me to some people and showed me my office. Arohi answered. "Did you like it?" Arjun asked. "Yes, very nice" she answered back. "I'm sorry I wasn't at the airport to pick you up" "That's okay" Arohi said softly. "That's okay? Now that's not the Arohi I know." he said with a chuckle. "The Arohi I know would have told me off for putting anything before her, especially work." "Well then you don't know me at all" Arohi answered back. "Rashi told me how busy you're been with this project. I understand how it gets with work but you shouldn't be sleeping in your office. You should get some rest." "Arohi if I didn't know better I would think you were worried about me" he said huskily. "You're a big boy, why would I worry about you" she snapped annoyed by his teasing. Arjun laughed. Silence from Arohi. "Okay, Okay I just called to tell you I'll be home tonight. Things have been finalized with this project and I'm going to be leaving the office in an hour. Will you be home?" he asked. Arohi looked up as Rashi walked over with the coffee. "Maybe!' she answered and hung up the phone.
Arjun shook his head and smiled to himself as he hung up the phone. Some things never change like Miss Arohi Ahluwalia's gussa! He quickly packed up his stuff he couldn't wait to see her. The last five days had been extremely hectic but he had found himself thinking of Arohi often. Her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile her feistiness. He had missed everything about her especially her gussa because he knew exactly how to turn the anger in her eyes to passion. Tonight he'd hopefully get the answer he wanted from her.
Arohi drank her hot coffee as fast as she could. She wanted to get home before Arjun did and freshen up. But for some reason Rashi was taking her sweet time. Finally Arohi couldn't take it anymore. "Shall we get going, I'm suddenly feeling exhausted she said.. Rashi agreed. They got back home and Rashi invited her to a party that evening. Arohi declined. She was not leaving the house today. She wasn't going to miss the opportunity to see Arjun again. She raced into her room and grabbed a royal blue wraparound silk dress. It was knee length and sleeveless and a small crystal broach sat at the hip giving the appearance that it held the dress together. She took a quick shower and put on her favorite scented lotion and then the dress. She left her hair down and wore her diamond studs leaving her neck completely bare.

Rashi has left her a note while she was in the shower and said she'd be home late and would see her in the morning and that if she needed anything to ask Arjun The note also said Arjun was home now. Oh my god she thought as the flutters started. Arohi started pacing back and forth in her room she couldn't bring herself to go outside. I'm over dressed she thought to herself. He's going to think I'm trying to impress him. Which I'm not! Stop being silly you're an Arohi Ahluwalia you don't care what anyone thinks. You dressed up for yourself. The butterflies in her stomach were going crazy. No, I'm going to change she said to herself. She had just opened her armoire when she heard a knock on her door. She stared at the door with horror. Willing herself to move to it. Another knock and then she heard Arjun call her name. Taking a deep breath Arohi opened the door and came face to face with Arjun. Arjun was leaning against the doorjamb wearing a black button up shirt untucked with dark blue jeans giving her a beautiful dimpled smile. He straightened and looked her slowly up and down. "WOW" he said appreciatively. Arohi said nothing, just stared back at him feeling nervous and awkward. "So?" he said walking past her into her room. "Do you like your room? Do you have everything you need" "Yes I'm fine" Arohi answered finally finding her voice. "Thanks for asking." Arjun gave her an odd look..."Thanks for asking" Arjun repeated slowly. Why was Arohi being so formal he thought to himself. Arohi stared at him and started to panic, she couldn't do this. "Arjun I'm so tired, I think I'll go to bed." When he just looked at her she added "goodnight" in a cheerful voice. "See you in the morning" and then she stood by the bedroom room willing him to leave. Arjun looked at her, closed his eyes shook his head. He walked over to the door and slammed it shut! Arohi stared at him with shock for a moment and then quickly turned to walk away. "Not so fast" Arjun said as he pulled her backwards until she hit his chest. They stood with her back pressed against his chest. Arjun slowly moved his hand down to rest on her hip. "You smell so good" he said huskily into her neck. She closed her eyes and tried to calm her rapidly beating heart.
Then suddenly he pulled away and stood apart from her. "What's your decision?" Arohi he asked gruffily. Arohi gulped and didn't say anything. "Arohi it's been 5 days what's your decision?" Arohi closed her eyes and took a deep breath before turning towards him. "Arjun maybe we should talk about..." Arjun cut her off "AROHI WHAT IS YOUR DECISION" Arjun repeated emphaisizing every word. "But Arjun if you would just listen to me for a second." "Forget it "Arjun said roughly reaching for the doorknob. "I should have known" he said angirly.
"YES my answer is YES!" Arjun turned around slowly looking at her with questioning eyes. "Yes what?" he asked. "Yes, I'm attracted to you. Yes, I feel the chemistry too. Yes, I want to see where this goes. Yes, I'm willing to give us a chance!" "YES YES YES damnit!" Arohi yelled and then she turned around and leaned down onto a chair. She felt like she'd just run a marathon. Arjun smiled slowly and took the few steps it took to get to Arohi. He turned her around and lifted her face so that he could see her eyes. "Now was that so hard?" he asked in a teasing voice. "Yes!" Arohi whispered and then the two of them looked at eachother and burst out laughing. Arohi laughed and laughed. She felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She was free, she felt like dancing. She was still laughing when she looked at Arjun. Arjun was no longer laughing he was just looking at her. His eyes scorching her with the intensiy of their heat. Arohi stopped laughing as he pulled her to him and bent down and captured her lips with his own. The kiss started off sweet and gentle and then as Arohi opened her mouth and Arjun deepened the kiss it became anything but gentle. The intensity of it rocked both Arohi and Arjun. They were burning up as Arjun put his hands on Arohi's hips bringing her even closer to him. The kiss became reckless with each one feeding off the other. Arjun pulled away and kissed her neck, working his way to her ear. "I missed you" he said hoarsely as he trailed kisses along her throat. Arohi groaned. " I missed you too," she said pressing closer to him.
When they broke apart Arohi laid her head against Arjun's chest and wrapped her arms around his waist. Arjun pulled her close to him and kissed her forehead wrapping his arms around her back. They stood that way for a few minutes and then Arohi pulled away. Arjun reached for her again but she shook her head with a smile walking backwards from him. Arjun smirked at her and started to follow her when Arohi stopped him. Arjun we need to talk about a few things. "What things?" he asked reaching for her again and pulling her to him. "Arjun stop it seriously we need to discuss how we're going to hide our relationship from everyone." "Hide?" he asked absentmindly as he moved her hair to the other shoulder and nuzzled her neck. "Arjun, Arohi gasped please listen." "We can't broadcast that we're dating. Our dad's are going to think they've won and that we're getting married." "It'll just put too much pressure on us." Arjun released Arohi and looked at her. "I don't think so Arohi. I'm not hiding our relationship from anyone. We're grown adults, we're not going to sneak around like teenagers." "We're dating, our families will just need to live with it. As for the marriage thing, I think our fathers know by now that we can't be pressured to do anything we don't want to." "Especially your dad Ms. Stubborn Ahluwalia." "Shut-up" Arohi said hitting Arjun. "You should talk you're just as stubborn as me!" Arjun stared at her and rolled his eyes. "Arohi no one is as stubborn and bull headed as you. You could win a prize for the person least likely to ever back down." "You could..." "I GET IT" Arohi interupted pushing away from him. "Can we get back to the issue at hand now." "Yes" Arjun said as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and went back to kissing her neck, distracting her. "As I was saying Arjun continued slowly kissing up her neck to her ear. We're not hiding anything. We're grown ups and our families are going to be fine with this arrangement and if they aren't then too bad for them." "Hmm" Arohi said slowly trying to concentrate on what Arjun was saying. Arjun slowly took her earlobe in his mouth and tugged on it. "Do you agree" he asked as he slowly turned her around. Arohi looked up at him with a dazed look, and nodded. "Good" he said with a smile and then leaned down and kissed her.
Arohi was the first to pull away. "Mr. Singhania I think it's time for us to leave my room before you convince me of anything else. And by your actions I can see exactly what's on your mind." Arjun glanced at Arohi's bed and then gave her a smirk reaching for her again. But Arohi was better prepared this time. "I don't think so" she said as she opened the bedroom door and ran out. Arjun could hear her laughter as she ran down the stairs, looking down from the top of the stairs he saw Arohi look up at him and give him one of her breathtaking smiles. And then he remembered that voice in head, the Kuch to Hai voice that he had dismissed a few weeks ago. But now he admitted to himself yes Kuch to Hai and he was looking forward to finding out exactly what it was.
