《Burn Archer》Twenty Seven- The Beginning of the End

"We're going to crash! We need do something, so they don't see us entering their planet!"
My eyes fluttered open and I saw everyone awake, panting around the spaceship. Eleanor was screaming near Sebastian as he steered the wheel. I slowly got up and my feet felt wobbly as I realised that I had been asleep longer than the others.
"What is happening?!"
Ivory glanced at me. "We're about to crash and if the impact is too big then they'll know that we're on their planet."
"And worse! This ship is gonna get destroyed!" Tyson grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me to the screen.
We were about to be pushed into the planet's atmosphere and possible crash into the planet. "We can't possibly go into atmosphere being unnoticed," Sebastian said pointing at the dark planet.
"Yes, we can," I said.
Everyone except Sebastian, whose eyes were on the path ahead of us, turned their heads towards me. "We can become invisible. That way they won't see us entering-"
"But the force and radiation are still going to be recognised," Eleanor interrupted me.
I slammed my head against my palm and creased my eyebrows. The spaceship was basically a submarine as well and it was experienced with water. "We can land in the ocean. We'll hide it there somewhere. This ship is experienced with the sea, so it won't have a problem."
Sebastian quickly glanced at me and muttered, "But at the speed we're going and the height we're at, the sea is going to be like concrete when the ship hits it."
"We can jump into the water when we're a few inches above the ground and it's about to crash into it."
"We're still going to get recognised!"

"Yeah! So?! We'll just follow a meteor falling into the planet so that it seems like we're part of the meteor."
"That's a bloody brilliant idea!" Tyson stared at me with sparkles in his eyes.
Sebastian stared at me. "Where are we going to find a meteor-"
"Over there!" Eleanor shouted as a large rock headed towards the planet. Sebastian spun the wheel and followed the rock at an incredible speed.
"Hold on everybody! Oh yea and before we get off this ship, don't forget to take in the plant to help you breathe on the planet."
Everyone scrambled around and hung on to some object attached to the ship. My eyes searched for something to hold on to but suddenly the spaceship lunged forward. "Here we go!"
My mouth opened to stop them but I felt a tight pull against my body. The spaceship zoomed towards the planet and my body got pulled towards the back of the ship. My back slammed against the wall and as I tried getting up, I got tossed on the floor.
"Burn! Grab on to something!" I saw a few heads turn towards me in shock as they held on to something close to their chest.
I heard other people shout but all I could feel was my body being tossed around the ship and all my bones splitting apart. I glanced down at my fully glowing arms. My vision went blurry as I felt myself throwing up.
I saw red liquid spilt everywhere. It was my blood. I felt myself heavily bleeding as a strong arm hauled me towards it.
In front of me, I saw an image of a large ocean. "We need to jump! The ocean is right beneath us or else we're going to crash with the ship," I spoke weakly as more blood split out of my mouth.

"Not yet. We're still a few metres off the ground!" Sebastian shouted as he gripped on tighter.
Suddenly his hands slipped from mine and I jerked backwards. My body got dragged backwards by the force and I slammed against the door. I started sobbing and tears endlessly rolled down my cheeks. I screamed as my body pressed against a sharp button.
I felt a sharp pain in my back and I screamed louder. Suddenly the entrance opened, and I got dragged out.
I fell out of the ship screaming. I heard some other screams from the ship as I fell from the sky. The strong current pulled me and slammed me against the ocean.
I felt a few bones snap and my skin rip apart. I wailed but my voice disappeared as I drank more sea water. A pool of blood had formed around me, so I lay flat on the ocean and closed my eyes.
I felt as if I'd drifted to a long sleep. Death.

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Discarded
The Umbrae Lunae existed before man, beautiful abominations birthed in the nightmares of mad gods. They wait for humanity to misstep, for the angels to look away. For the moment when they can cloak the world in moon shadows once again. But even horrors have children. Even nightmares must feed. One child, unlike the others, finds his way to a school for young abominations. Will he be a sheep cast before the wolves, or a terror that wears the skin of wool to entice the wolf close? The flesh of his body was his only coin, strips cut to pay debts that never ended. Everyone has scars, stories in a life led, lessons learned, and licks taken. Luminous bodies touched by darkness. There are a cursed few that are the opposite, black shadows consumed by scars, twisted minds devoured by diseased hungers, bodies tortured misshapen works of gouged flesh, silver lines of blade thin cuts, ragged tears of teeth and glass. For them, the scars are marks of homecoming, the mangled wasteland the only place they feel at peace. Hell is a place. It's made of concrete, steel and glass. It's the sounds of starving kids crying themselves to sleep, huddling into small balls as creepers come and take their due of innocence and tender meat. It's eating rotten food and carrying ticks in your hair. It’s having no one and nothing while surrounded by everything. It's the life of a street kid. What abomination was birthed in the corrupt womb of man’s cast-off shit? Pretty people don't know the power of ugly. They can't see the strength in a broken soul or the power in a calloused heart. Those secrets are for the discarded alone. Only the broken understand the grace of darkness. The blessed folds that hide scars and tears, the protection of its concealing umbra.
