From the last chapter...

"What now? I whine after ensuring jack is far gone and probably wouldn't hear me. I'm not late today. I am actually early by five minutes. Okay, five minutes is nothing to brag about as been early but at least it's enough not to get me snap at.

Mr. Grey retreats into his office glaring at me. I ignored him since I didn't do anything wrong.

Ashton POV

When her pretty smile disappeared on seeing me, that was my cue to walk back into my office. I never had to go through this feeling so I don't know the right word for it, but all I know is that I'm not happy with Ella's closeness with Jack, my friend.

Maybe it is because I don't like sharing my things or because I don't trust Jack with her.

Jack is a player like myself and I don't trust him when it comes to women.

She looked cheerful and happy after her lunch out with Jack and her eyes sparkle as she smiles and hugged Jack. Something she hasn't been doing often since we came back from the business trip. I intended to just watch and retreat cause that smile is something I have seen in a while. I am happy when she is too and this is one of the time.

'How can you be happy seeing her happy? You are not even friends with her or something. Oh just because you kiss her, you think you have gotten her huh' my brain chirp reminding me of the kiss.

I slam the door and went back inside. This girl has got me crazy and thinking since she steps foot into this company.

I have to do something to get my way with her. I thought of picking up the files on my desk to go through and sign the necessary parts.

I heard a light knock on the door and I knew it was Ella.

"I'm done for the day, if there is nothing you will want me to do for you then I would like to take my leave." She announced politely. When did time move that fast? It is already five.

"Wait, I will drive you home." I offer before I could stop myself.

"Thank you, Mr. Grey, but I have a ride home with Jack."

"Oh," I said awkwardly

So when I said I will have to do something, I did okay and now I only have to remind Jack. 'Ella will be working late because we have work to finish and I will be dropping her when we are through, so you can leave.' I texted Jack.

"Jack is gone Already. Didn't he call you? I whisper yelled after quickly sending a text to Jack. A smile creeps to my face for coming up with such a brilliant idea on short notice.

" come on, I will drop you home. " I repeated my earlier offer.

The car ride is quiet and awkward with both of us keeping silent the entire drive. She looks outside the window glass as I concentrate on the road. I drive into her driveway then her house. I even open the door for her. Something I don't do with other ladies.

Ella makes me do things...

" Thanks for the ride, Mr. Grey." And she is back to last names(thus if calling me once by my first name during the trip counts as ever stopping the last name thing in the first place)

"No problem' she turns to walk away but I pull her back to myself hugging her pretty tight surprising myself and her because she grasps, then stiffens, and tries to pull away but I held her tighter and nearer than we were. I relax a bit into the hug and it feels nice. I want to remain like that for a while at least but...

" what are you doing sir" she whispers nervously.

" I'm just giving you a goodbye hug Ella, why?" I tease playing dump like I didn't know what exactly she was referring to.
