Aspyn's leg was bouncing not from anxiety, but from her pure excitement. She hadn't seen Alex since the day he visited Karl, the first time they met in real life. However, things were obviously different back then. She and Alex were nowhere near as close as they were now. She was excited for what the next few weeks would bring her— seeing Alex was one thing, but she'd also meet Dream, Sapnap, Tubbo, Tommy, Wilbur, Niki, and.. George. Just the thought of it all made her heart race.
Karl returned with two drinks in his hands, laughing as he spotted her jumpy leg. He passed her the drink, "I got decaf for you— you clearly don't need caffeine."
Rolling her eyes, Aspyn thanked him for the drink. Instead of her usual coffee, he had brought her an iced guava passionfruit drink. She didn't mind though, she knew it was probably better that her already adrenaline-filled body didn't have any caffeine.
Out of instance, she grabbed Karl's hand, and they intertwined their fingers as if it were second nature. Both of the two were very eager to be reunited with their best friend.
Karl giggled, squeezing her hand. "I'm so excited to see him."
"I'm excited to see everyone!" Aspyn continued to glance at the large clock, mounted in the middle of the wall near the ceiling-high windows that showed the planes.
The two watched as families would push their way through to make it to their gates, and laughed at the stray person who'd run as if their life depended on it— they were clearly late to their flight.

In less than 6 hours, they would see Alex again. And in two weeks, Aspyn would meet George. She bit her lip as she fell deep in thought. She hated to think about it, but she couldn't help but wonder how much it would hurt to be separated again. And when they were, would being apart feel different than it did now? How long would it be until they saw each other again?
Aspyn didn't want to think about things like that, but she continued to find herself doing so.
Pushing the thought away, she focused on the positive, smiling excitedly as their gate was finally called.
