Aspyn and Sapnap had gotten significantly closer over the course of the past few weeks, and it was easier considering they had mutual friends. They were many times the two would call while working, since Sapnap was still in school and Aspyn had a part-time job unrelated to streaming.
And on their free time, they found themselves playing games like CSGO and Minecraft.
With her new-found friendship with Sapnap, Aspyn also found herself talking to both Dream and George more often — but she continued to be become flustered just by hearing the voice of the British boy.
He was the topic of their current conversation, with Jaslene also being in Aspyn's room. She was scrolling through Instagram while laying on Aspyn's bed while Aspyn was sat at her desk sketching. with Sapnap on speaker in their FaceTime call.
"I don't know," Aspyn murmured as she continued to sketch Sapnap's eye. On camera, he had his head tilted down while he continued to write. Aspyn thought it would be nice to draw him since he remained in the same spot for almost an hour now. "I just get like— I don't know, nervous?"
Sapnap laughed, glancing up for a split second with an amused expression. "You get nervous because of George? Are we talking about the same George, Aspyn?" He joked, earning a snort from Jaslene. Aspyn rolled her eyes.
She looked up, raising her voice so that Sapnap could hear her too. "I've been hearing a lot about this George kid, how does he even look like?" She wondered out-loud.
"Here, I'll send Aspyn a video." Sapnap shuffled in the background of the call, the camera shaking as he searched for the video he saved from TikTok as a joke. "Oh, I knew this would come in handy one day."

Aspyn picked up her phone as Jaslene got up to walk over. When her friend placed a hand on the top of her chair to let her know she was there, her thumb landed over the play button. Immediately, 'Dangerous' by Kardinal Offishall played through the speakers of her phone. Clips of George were shown throughout the short, 26 second video. The combination of the clips and the music earned a blush from Aspyn, and she hid her face in her hands.
"Why did you send me a thirst trap?!" She squealed into her hands. Sapnap laughed loudly, almost having to clutch his stomach.
"Well I didn't say you had to watch the entire video!" He defended, a sly smirk on his lips. "You chose to do that."
"Shut up," Aspyn groaned, leaning her head on her desk.
Jaslene hummed, "he seems like he has pretty privilege."
"He does!" Sapnap responded quickly. "He gets like— he gets Dream to do everything for him. He's Dream's little bitch."
"Sapnap!" Aspyn's hand flew to her mouth to stifle her laughter.
He shrugged and picked up his pencil, continuing to complete his math homework. His phone dinged with messages from his groupchat with Dream and George. His lip quirked up as he got an idea.

"Hey, could I add Dream to the call?" Sapnap asked, earning Aspyn's attention.
She nodded showing a thumbs up to the camera. "Sure!" It was now only her in her room, Jaslene had ventured off to her own minutes earlier.
A small ping was heard, followed by a "Hello!"
"Hi, Dream!" Aspyn greeted, looking up momentarily and gave the camera a slight wave. His camera was off, but that was expected.
"Hey, Angel!" His familiar voice was released from her speakers.
She chuckled at the use of her online alias, forgetting he didn't know her name yet. "You can call me Aspyn off-camera. I don't mind." She smiled.
"Oh, cool! That's— that's actually a fitting name. It suits you." He hummed as he observed the girl on his phone. She fitted Aspyn more than Angel, but he supposed that she could have passed without revealing whether or not Angel was her birth name or not. "My name's Clay but I prefer Dream more when it's like, online."
"Cool!" She continued to sketch. The boys were now being relatively silent, with Sapnap attempting to give Dream a look to tell him to start a conversation.
Dream brought out his phone to message Sapnap, Bring him up but be subtle. Sapnap's eyes travelled to the top of his phone screen, nodding when he read the message.
"You should totally date George, Asp." Aspyn dropped her pencil in shock. Her head snapped up to the camera and showcased her wide eyes and flushed cheeks.
"W-what?"
Dream facepalmed, not wasting any time to scold his friend. "Sapnap, I said subtle! What the fuck was that?"
The 19-year-old shrugged, spinning the pencil in his hand. "Well maybe it would have been more subtle if you didn't yell at me." He huffed in frustration, rolling his eyes.
"You're such an idiot," Dream shook his head.
Aspyn pursed her lips, confused on why the topic was brought so suddenly. One thought lead to another and soon enough, she was deep into her own spiral of thoughts.
She hadn't been in a relationship since high-school, which was pretty long ago. Her last relationship was mediocre, nothing wrong, but nothing too special. Her ideals on love are based on what she had experienced, which clearly wasn't much. With a lack of affection from both her parents and partners, she didn't know what it was like.
When she met Karl, she knew that it was wrong. He showered her with hugs and compliments— and they were only friends! If Karl and Alex could make her feel so loved platonically, how would it feel to be loved romantically by someone?
She wondered what it was like to be loved like in the movies, to be in the positions she'd yearningly sketch on paper, and feel the emotions she'd read in poems.
She wondered what love felt like.
