As I sit it in the back of the room slightly feeling malnourished as Gordon hasn't teleported food here for about three days, I look at my bloody fists that are bandaged up with my ripped scarf. Suddenly, Lincoln is suddenly teleported into the room, and he looks around confused until he looks at me, and we both stand up suddenly, and he looks at me with utter confusement as I look at him angrily.
"W-what?.." Lincoln looks at me confused.
"Don't you dare act innocent!" I shout at him.
"What are you doing here?" Lincoln takes a step towards me confused.
"Like you don't know!" I shout at him before I raise my hand up to him, and he flies into the door behind him, and I keep him there with my power.
"I don't, and we need to get out of here." Lincoln says to me in a rush.
"... Why?" I ask him confused, although wary encase he is lying.
"Because your mother wants to kill S.H.I.E.L.D., or transform as many people she can with the improved Terrigen Crystals her and Gordon created." Lincoln explains to me.
"Your lying!" I shout at him.
"I have no reason to lie to you, Lyra." Lincoln tells me... And I want to believe him.
"... My sister. Where is my sister?" I ask him a little calmer.
"She's on the ship, along with the rest of your friends, and I think they've teamed up with your father." Lincoln explains to me, and I hesitantly release him, and he lands on his right knee before I walk over to him, and I hold my right hand out to him, and he takes it with his left hand before I help him stand up.
"I can't get out of here on my own, I've been trying for... I don't know..." I trail off as I move my right hand and his left hand before aiming them at the door "... Give it all you got." I say to him, and he nods before we release everything we have at the door, and it bursts down making me feel lightheaded as I feel my nose bleed, and I lose my balance slightly but quickly readjust as Lincoln grabs my right upper arm with his right hand as he places his left hand on my back.
"Are you alright? How many times have you tried to break the door down?" Lincoln asks me confused.
"How long have I been down here?" I ask him.
"Since you disappeared, about two weeks." Lincoln tells me.
"... About every thirty minutes since Gordon teleported me here, I build my strength up as much as I can before I try to knock it down." I explain to him, and he looks at me with guilt.

"No time for guilt, Lincoln. We need transport." I state as I stand up on my own, allowing his hands to drop away from me.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. came a while ago, they left a few Quinjet's." Lincoln tells me.
"Perfect, what's the location? Can you enter the coordinates into the G.P.S.?" I ask him, and he nods as we begin to leave.
After arriving to the Iliad, and during the journey Lincoln explained to me that my mother had killed Raina seeing as she was clairvoyant and didn't want her secrets to get out and introduced herself to Skye as her mother, Lincoln gives me a gun and takes me through the entrance that he, my mother, Gordon and other Inhuman's went through before Lincoln found out what my mothers real plan is and decided against it. Lincoln then leads us through the ship and towards the control room as that was the last place he saw my mother when we turn a corner and see May with and unconscious inhuman at her feet, and she looks up at me shocked.
"Where have you-" May tries to say, but I cut her off.
"-No time for questions, we need to find my mother. Now!" I state, and she hesitantly nods.
Lincoln then leads us to the control room where we see five women who look exactly alike, an Inhuman, and they are beating Skye to a pulp on the ground, and my mother isn't here. I then raise my hands and I use my power to create barriers, and I push them all against two opposite walls before Lincoln sends electricity shooting from the palms of his hands at them, and they all fall to the ground unconscious as I stop using my power.
I then walk over to Skye, and I hold my right hand out to her as she looks at me confused before she takes my right hand in her left hand, and I help her stand up before I pull her into a hug, and she hugs back just as tight.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know. I'm sorry-" Skye tries to say, but I cut her off as I pull away from the hug, but I keep her at arms length as I rest my hands on her shoulders.
"-It's fine, It's alright. I'm here now." I assure her with a small smile, but she doesn't smile back as she looks at me with panic "Where's our mother?" I ask Skye.
"You can't defeat her on your-" May, tries to say, but I cut her off.
"-Where did she go?" I ask Skye again.
"That way, to the deck." Skye nods her head behind her "Let me come with you." She says to her.
"This is something I have to do on my own Skye..." I trail off as I kiss her on her forehead "... I love you." I say to her before I drop my hands from her shoulders and go to walk away, but she grabs my right hand in her left hand and stops me.

"Why does it sound like your trying to say goodbye?" Skye asks me, and I turn to her to see she has tears in her eyes.
"It's not goodbye..." I trail off as I drop my hand from hers "... I'll be back soon, I promise." I promise her before I grab her gun from her holster, and I turn invisible and I run the way Skye had said our mother went.
After I reach the deck, I see on the far other side of the platform the two people that a few weeks ago never came back into my life, but now I'm glad that they are.
"媽媽! 爸爸![Mama! Papa!]" I shout as I walk over to them, and they both turn to look at me.
"My daughter, Katäryna. I'm so sorry-" My mother tries to say, but I take the gun in my right hand before I fire a bullet point blank in her skull, and my father falls on his knees as he catches my dead mother is his arms.
"Katäryna, please-" My father tries to say, but I also fire at him point black in the skull with my gun in my left hand as I continue to walk over to them. I then standing in-between them as they lay dead, and I aim my guns at their heads again.
"For the innocent..." I trail off as I shoot them skulls again, but this time allowing my power to flow through my automatics and into the bullets, making the deck crack from underneath them "... For the men just following orders..." I trail off as I shoot them in the skulls again like before with my powers, making the deck crack even more "... For the minds you tricked..." I trail off as I shoot them in the skulls again like before with my powers, making the deck crack even more "For the blood you shed..." I trail off as I shoot them in the skulls again like before with my powers, making the deck crack even more, and my nose begins to bleed "... For my sister..." I trail off as I shoot them in the skulls again like before with my powers, making the deck crack even more, and I begin to feel faint "... For m-me..." I trail off as I shoot them in the skulls again like before with my powers, making the deck crack even more, and I suddenly pass out from the stress my powers are causing my body, and I fall in-between my parents, unconscious.
As I begin to wake up, I feel my right hand being held by someone, and I open my eyes and look to my right to see Skye sitting on a chair as she holds my right hand in her left hand as she sleeps, and I slowly take my hand out of hers before looking around to see that I am in my bedroom at The Playhouse and I'm on my bed dressed in clean clothes and my hands are wrapped in bandages.
I then quietly stand up, feeling my core slightly sore, and I walk over to the foot of my bed where my carrier from The Afterlife is there with my S.H.I.E.L.D. badge and gun there. I then glance up at Skye with a slight sigh and hesitation before I place my S.H.I.E.L.D. badge onto my bed before I pick up my gun and place it into the back of my trousers, and I pick up my carrier. I then walk over to Skye before I lightly kiss the top of her head.
"I'll keep my promise." I promise her before I leave my bedroom.
I then walk through the quiet hallways of The Playground before I head into the garage, and I walk over to my motorcycle to see that my motorcycle helmet and keys are on the seat, and I place my carrier strap over my chest before I pick the motorcycle helmet and keys up, and I sit on my motorcycle.
"No goodbye?" I hear Coulson's voice, and I look up to where I just came from The Playground to see Coulson standing in the doorway with his left arm in a sling.
"I did what I had to do." I state as I refer to my parents.
"I know, we all know." Coulson says to me, and I nod slightly.
"We are all Skye's family now, Coulson. And now I have defeated the two things I've been protecting her against our whole lives." I explain to him.
"She still needs you." Coulson says to me.
"... And I'll be there, whenever she needs me, I just..." I trail of unsure.
"You just need some time, I understand." Coulson nods understandingly.
"... Yeah... You look after her, while I'm gone." I tell him.
"Always. Like you said, we're family." Coulson smiles at me, and I smile back before I place my motorcycle helmet on, and I turn the key into the ignition. I then look to Coulson one last time and I salute him with my right hand, and he salutes back with his right hand before I drive off and out of the garage.

8 78Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
