As myself and Skye sit in the lounge in The B.U.S., Simmons checks on Skye's healing arms as Fitz stands and watches.
"Well, the bruising has started to fade, though I'm afraid these stress fractures will require a bit more time to heal." Simmons explains.
"Great. Tried to go zen to keep my powers in check only to find myself back..." Skye trails off as she groans as she puts her casts back on her arms "... On the D.L." She finishes.
"The 'down low'?" Fitz asks her confused.
"The 'disabled list'." I correct him.
"Oh. Oh, yeah. That makes more sense." Fitz nods.
"Yeah, and now I'm all..." Skye trails off as she waves her casted arms in the air with a dumb expression on her face momentarily.
"You know, it could just be growing pains... From the new powers." Fitz suggests.
"It's okay, Fitz. You don't have to put a positive spin on this." Skye assures Fitz.
"I'm not doing that. I would never patronize the... Well, the... Things change. That's what I'm saying. So maybe if you can learn to control this, then... You could have Avengers-level powers, something like Captain America, even. Lyra's already controlling hers." Fitz explains.
"Well, don't forget my... New abilities cause stress on my entire body, making me feel faint and it gives me nose bleeds, so..." I trail off as I remind him.
"Yes, but your test results show the more you use and learn to control your powers, the less stress it puts on you. Baby steps." Fitz explains to me.
"I think it best we keep in mind the unstable nature of Skye's power. If there is an Avenger equivalent, right now I'm afraid it's the Hulk." Simmons explains. Is she calling my sister the Hulk?
"Well, Hulk saved the world, last I checked." Fitz points out.
"You're absolutely right. But given the choice, I believe Bruce Banner would not hesitate to cure himself once and for all." Simmons explains.
"Well, then... I guess we should be thankful that nobody's given him the choice." Fitz tells her.
"Oh, Fitz-" Simmons tries to say, but Fitz cuts her off.
"-Don't 'Oh, Fitz' me. I'm be-" Fitz cuts himself off when The B.U.S. begins to shake, and I rest my left hand on Skye's right shoulder, and she looks at me as I show her a small smile, and The B.U.S. stops shaking.
"I'm sorry, Skye." Fitz apologises.
"This really isn't about you." Simmons adds.
"I'm pretty sure it is. I'll go back to the cage." Skye says as she stands up, making my hand drop from her shoulder.
"It's not a cage." I say to her as she begins to leave.
"Yes it is!" Skye calls back.
"No it's-" I cut myself of as she's completely out of the room "-Not." I sigh.
A little while later, I am sitting on Skye's bed with her as we play the game Operation to stretch out some of her finger muscles as she calls it, and at the minute she's trying to get the Ankle bone.

"You can't get it." I tease her.
"I can, too." Skye tells me as she concentrates.
"Can't." I tell her.
"Can-Ah. No." Skye drops the tweezers angrily as she hits the side of wall of the Ankle bone and the game momentarily beeps.
"Ankle bone's always the toughest." Coulson walks through the open cell door.
"Yeah. Maybe a game of nerves isn't the best idea for me." Skye hands me the board game.
"It was your idea." I say to her, and she sticks her tongue out at me playfully, and I do it back.
"Both of you and I need to take a ride." Coulson says to us, and we both turn to him confused.
"Okay. But why am I suddenly feeling like we're both old yeller right now?" Skye asks him confused.
"Kind of surprised you know the reference." Coulson says to her shocked.
"I've had a lot of downtime lately. That and Fitz really wants a dog." Skye explains.
"Thought he wanted a monkey." I say to her confused.
"Guess he readjusted his expectations." Skye tells me before we both look to Coulson, and he's looking at us with silence.
"You can't tell us where we're going, can you?" I ask him.
"You're both gonna want to pack a bag." Coulson tells us. He's sending us away...
After both myself and Skye backed a carrier of clothes, we both along with Coulson are strapped and sitting in the back of the Quinjet whilst autopilot is flying us to our destination.
"I'm sorry about everything that's happening, Lyra and Skye." Coulson apologises to us.
"Not your fault. The blame begins and ends with our dad." I tell him.
"Well, you wouldn't be the first people to have parents with misguided intentions." Coulson tells us.
"Nope, just the first whose crazy dad lured them to an alien city to get earthquake and invisibility powers." Skye explains.
"Yeah." Coulson states "I got us a little something for the trip." He takes out three red liquorish sticks from the paper bag beside him on his right, and he hands one to Skye and then holds one out for me to take.
"Thanks, but I don't like liquorish." I say to him.
"Seriously?" Coulson looks to Skye.
"Now do you see what I have to live with?" Skye asks Coulson before they both begin to eat their liquorish.
"Thing I remember most about my dad is he was a car guy. Always working on this junker he insisted I help him fix. While my friends were outside, playing ball, having fun, there I was, stuck at home with him, fixing that damn car. Wasn't till we finished that it hit me. That car was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. And all the time we'd spent together working on it gave me an appreciation I never would have had otherwise." Coulson explains to us.

"Hold on. Was that car a red 1962 Corvette?" I ask him with a small smile.
"Yeah." Coulson smiles back.
"Well, he'd be very proud. Your red Corvette flies. How cool is that?" Skye asks him.
"It's pretty cool. But I think the thing he'd like most about it... At her core, she's still just a red '62 Corvette." Coulson looks between Skye and myself.
"Just to be clear, We're the Corvette in this story. Right?" I ask him, and he smiles at me, showing its a yes "Now you want to tell us where we're going?" I ask him.
"We're almost there." Coulson assures me.
After arriving at a cabin in the middle of the woods somewhere with a lake view, Coulson takes us inside as myself and Skye carry our carriers and Coulson carries a briefcase and groceries, and he sets them down on a kitchen table that joins to the lounge as Skye and myself set our carriers down on the couch in the lounge.
"It's one of Fury's old retreats. Haven't been in here in years." Coulson explains to us.
"Fury's not the kind of guy who has a cabin just to relax. What is this place?" I ask him as I walk over to Vinyl player, and I pick up some of the Vinyl's.
"It's a safe house for people with powers. Rogers even spent a few weeks here after he defrosted." Coulson explains to us.
"That explains the old Vinyl's, he has the same ones in his apartment." I state.
"You were in Captain America's apartment?" Skye asks surprised as I put the Vinyl's back.
"That's classified." I turn to her smiling face, but her smile falls and I turn to Coulson "If it's safe house, who's it supposed to keep safe, the people with powers or everyone else?" I ask him.
"Both. I'm afraid I have to pull you both from active duty." Coulson says to us. I knew this is what this was really about...
"We understand." I nod understandingly.
"Yeah, we do. I just didn't think that you'd lock us up like werewolves during full moon." Skye explains to him.
"You're not alone here." Coulson states.
"Feels pretty isolated to me." I say to him as I refer to the miles and miles of forestry around us.
"There's a direct video link to the base, and May will keep dropping by every couple of days." Coulson explains to us.
"What are we supposed to do? Go fishing?" Skye asks Coulson incredulously.
"Well, if you do go outside, be careful. There's a laser fence around the perimeter. Look, this is a safe place. You can relax here. You can use this time to get a handle on your abilities." Coulson says the last bit as he looks at Skye.
"Yeah, 'cause that's worked great so far." Skye scoffs.
"Well, maybe it's time we give you a hand with that. Simmons has been working around the clock on these. She assures me they'll cut your recovery time in half." Coulson explains as he walks over to briefcase on the kitchen table and opens it to reveal two lower arm length black gloves with a small piece of technology attached to them, and both myself and Skye walk over to get a closer look.
"How to they work?" Skye asks him as she picks up one of the gloves with her right hand.
"The internal wiring emits a surge of electricity to inhibit your powers." Coulson explains.
"So these take my powers away?" Skye asks hopefully.
"More like decrease their magnitude to keep you from hurting yourself. Like I said, we want you to heal." Coulson explains to her.
"Seems like a no-brainer." Skye states.
"It's a personal call." Coulson states.
"What do you mean? Are there side effects?" I ask cautiously.
"A few. Simmons can go over them with you later." Coulson says to Skye.
"Are these gloves really her best option?" I ask Coulson.
"I can't answer that question for you, Lyra and Skye." Coulson says to us.
"Okay, just stop. Stop being the Director for just one second, okay? Please. We've all been through way too much together. We just need you to be our friend right now. What would you do if you were us?" I explain to him as I believe keep us cooped up like this can't be the best or only option.
"I don't know. These are uncharted waters, but if anybody can find a way through them, it's the both of you." Coulson admits to us.
"'Cause we're the red Corvette." Skye states.
"Because you're two of the few people I know I can trust." Coulson states.
A while later as Coulson stands in the lounge getting Mack's report back from where he's been absent, myself and Skye are putting away the groceries.
"... Thanks for the update, Mack." Coulson says before he hangs up.
"Is everything okay?" I ask him.
"I'm afraid I have to get back." Coulson walks over to us.
"We get it. Didn't expect you to stay and roast marshmallows." Skye admits.
"This is temporary, I'll be back in a couple days. If you guys need anything-" Coulson tries to say, but I cut him off.
"We'll let you know." I assure him with a smile, and Coulson suddenly embraces us both in a hug.
"We'll figure this out." Coulson says as he pulls away from the hug "I promise." He promises us before he leaves.
