Guuess whooo is back! ;)
Hey guys! Sorry I took so long, :) -
Chapter forty-five.
We pulled into the parking lot just under thirty minutes later, everyone climbed out the car as I looked down at my hands. The rush of sugar in my system had died down and now I was left with the same feeling I had in the hospital - I was hurting both boys and they didn't seem to care.
"Mitch?" Sean was poking his head back in the car; he had a sad smile on his face as he took in my frown. "If I find out you are thinking of the boys instead of having fun then I will personally put you in isolation for the next few weeks."
I smiled weakly and got out the car. A sense of being watched washed over me; I looked around me but only saw my friends. No matter how much I shrugged off the feeling, it wouldn't go. I took a deep breath and grabbed Sean's hand, he smiled down at me. He swung our arms back and forth as we made our way inside the building.
"Hey, guys, over here!"
"Hey, Tess, how's it going?" I asked once we neared her and Nora.
"Going good, took you ages to get here - Miss-I'm-So-Bored over there wouldn't shut up the whole way here," Tess smiled and slid along the bench to make room for us. I heard Nora snort but it didn't stop her from carrying on her conversation with James and Zac.
"Want to go in some shops?" I asked Tess after a few minutes of people watching.
She nodded and stood up. "Sean, fancy being made over?"
"No, thanks. But I'll come along with you guys," he stood up and wrapped his arms around me. "Anyone else?"
The look exchanged between Tony and James barely went unnoticed, their eyes flicked from Sean's arm around my waist to our faces and back again. "Are you guys coming or what?"
"Okay, sure, let's all go. Where first?"
Nora whispered in my ear, she had a grin on her face when she pulled away. I gave her an are you serious look and her expression answered it all. She grabbed my hand and tugged me towards the destination of her choice. Sean didn't have a chance to let go of me so he was pulled along as well.
"Guys, it would help if we knew where we were going!" I barely had a chance to look over my shoulder but I knew the boys had worked out where we were going - Victoria's Secret. I could practically hear the boys stuttering at the idea of going into a women's lingerie shop.
"Now, this is a wild guess, but it was Nora's idea to go in here, wasn't it?" Sean whispered in my ear as we entered. I nodded with a grimace. The shop assistant gave us a stern look as she served someone at the tills. "We have to be careful not to get kicked out."
"Yeah, I know - Nora, what are we doing in here?" I hissed as she skipped down the stairs. We were leaving behind the Pajama's and swimwear, now entering the underwear part. "Nora, there is no way I am shopping in this part with you!"
She clearly wasn't listening since she started to pick up random things and shoved me towards the changing room. "Trust me on this, okay?"
"No, wait, what are you doing?" I was pushed into a changing room with nearly an armful of different underwear sets. "I'm not trying any of these on!" I felt my cheeks flush. She expected me to put these on and parade around out there!

"I'm coming in, okay?" Not even a second later Nora appeared in the changing room, her arms crossed and her eyebrows rose. "Why aren't you changing?"
"Why am I in here?"
"I thought it was pretty obvious?" Her nose scrunched up in confusion.
"No, why am I in here... putting underwear on for the four boys outside?"
"Oh! That's the obvious point, silly. If you impress them-"
"I don't want to impress them, Nora, I want to leave." I could feel my stern face slipping - but I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of the boys. "Nora, please."
"What about if they go then? It'll be just us lot?" I sighed and nodded. She bit her lip, something she does when feeling nervous or guiltily, and walked out the changing room. I heard her talking but I couldn't make out her words. "Okay. Try on the stuff. We'll be your judge." I couldn't help but detect the amusement in her voice.
The red and black corset she shoved in the room at the last minute was the first thing I tried on. I debated whether to put the underwear on or keep my jeans on. My decision was clearly made for me since Nora shouted that I had to try both parts of the undergarments on.
"Are you decent?"
"You're seriously asking if I'm decent in a lingerie shop."
"Okay, you have a point. Are you covering decent parts then?"
"Yes but-" I was cut off by Nora's hand appearing and wrapping around my forearm, pulling me outside. My socks made my slip drag Nora and the surrounding mannequins down to the floor with me. A startled squeak escaped my lips as I laid flat on my back, staring at the ceiling.
"Well, you said we were in for a show alright..." I didn't even look up, why bother? I knew the boys' voices too well to even bother looking at them. I sighed, closed my eyes and counted to ten before I felt someone grabbing my hand.
"Must say that was quite a performance," Sean chuckled and poked my red cheeks. "Poor, Mitchie, come on, go change. I'll buy you a smoothie."

I gave up on staying on the board. I picked it up and ran. Sean thought it would be a good idea to teach me to skateboard and all that got us was being chased by the security guards. Sean was ahead of me, still on his skateboard. I risked a glance over my shoulder to see them still chasing us.
"Hurry up; once we get out they can't do anything!" Sean called over his shoulder. I didn't respond because no words could get past my fast breathing. This was too much exercise for me in one day. This reminded me so much of how I first met Sean. I could just picture him running over someone right now. "Mitchie, try the board again!"
I debated whether to get on the skateboard or run. I threw it down and quickly pushed off - you learn best when you're put in danger, right?
"See, you can do it!" Sean slowed to match my pace. "Hey, the guys are over there."
"Too bad we can't stop. We shouldn't have tried this," I smiled at him and pushed the board to go faster. "Feels like we are racing."
"Why don't we make it a race, aye?" I nodded. "We'll sort out the details of it after, right now, I don't want to be caught."

"Good idea," I winked and tried to get past him.
"You two, get back here!" the security guard was catching up with us. Just because we accidently knocked over a group of adults he feels the need to take us to the mall jail.
"Isn't that Mitchie and Sean?" I waved to Nora as we went past. I told them to meet us by the car, whether they heard me or not is their problem. I laughed as we before rammed into the door; I grabbed my board as the door slowly opened up. "I hate automatic doors," I commented as I squeezed through.
"Hate on them after we get out of here," Sean grabbed my arm and we took off running towards the car park. I slid down the car door after we stopped, a chuckle escaped my lips.
"Can I hate on the automatic doors now?" I smiled and closed my eyes. "At least I know how to ride a skateboard now," I rested my head against his shoulder.
"Yeah, that was fun." I felt him sigh. "Do you feel that? Like someone is watching us?" his voice was a whisper. I nodded and let my eyes scan the parking lot. There was only four other cars on this level. "I can't even see anyone."
"It's probably just the security cameras. It could feel like we are being watched but the cameras are looking all around us." I sighed as I heard the car unlock. We stood up and smiled at the advancing teenagers. "What did you think of my skateboarding?" I grinned and leaned on the open car door. "I'm driving. James, keys, please."
"Since you said please..." he put the car keys in my hand and slid into the passenger seat. Once everyone was buckled in I started the car. I could hear a faint noise from the level above us but I paid no attention to it. "Can anyone else hear that?"
"Yeah, it's coming from above, it's a car," Tony said, looking at the ramp that lead upstairs. "It sounds like a mad driver is going round in circles." He was right. It did sound like someone was going round, the tires were screeching. "I think they're coming down."
As I drove to the ramp leading to the ground floor I saw a black car coming towards us. I pushed my foot down on the pedal, giving it more gas. My eyes flicked between the rear view mirror and the ramp in front of me. I couldn't shake the feeling that the car wasn't going to slow down.
"Is everyone's seatbelts on?" I asked, my eyes not looking away from the car behind us. "I think I'm going to have to speed up." They all chorused yes as I sped round the corner onto the ground floor. The car behind tried to nudge us but I moved to the side just in time. "Guys, hold on tight."
"What do you mean?" James turned in his seat, so did the boys in the back, to look out the back. "What the hell? Mitchie, you can't drive, let one of us do it."
"Sure, James, I'll just hop out the seat, why don't I?" I replied sarcastically. "Give me a minute." I turned the steering wheel round quickly, jerking us so we were facing the other car. I couldn't see the person in the driver’s seat but they revved their engine and soon came speeding towards us. I really wanted to close my eyes but I couldn't - obviously - so I gripped the steering wheel and pushed on the gas, narrowly missing the other car. I didn't wait for anything; I zoomed out the parking lot and didn't stop until we reached a McDonalds ten minutes down.
"Okay. Maybe you could have handled it. Didn’t know you had it in you to drive like that... Who was that guy and why was he trying to kill us?" I bit my lip and rested my head against the steering wheel. I pulled my phone out my pocket once I felt it start vibrating.
"Hello?"
"Oh my god, what just happened? Where are you guys?"
"Hey, Nora. Just in McDonalds. Needed to stop off, you know?"
"No funny business, Mitchie, we'll be there in a few minutes." I heard the phone click, signaling she put the phone down. I told the boys where they were before shutting my eyes. I couldn't help but think of the one person who seemed set out to hurt me. I didn't realize we were inside McDonalds until Tony was shoving a warm doughnut in my direction. I had always liked their doughnuts.
"What the hell just happened?" Nora slid into the chair a few down from me. "We got in our car and followed behind you but that guy cut in front, then we see Mitchie turn the car round and just miss that dude by this much!" Nora held her forefinger and thumb barely a centimeter apart.
"I think I know who it was," I said, but no one heard me. No one was listening because they were too busy telling everyone else how it made them feel. I stood up and walked towards the counter. "Can I have a Coke, please?"
"Sure, small, medium or large?" I told the boy I wanted a medium. Why not, I survived death not even thirty minutes ago; the caffeine would make me feel better. "Y'all alright, miss?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks-" I squinted to look at this name badge. "Andy. I'm fine."
"Don't look it, little missy." I cocked my head to the side as I took him in. He had a southern accent, a tan and clearly the muscles to go with it. "Andy," he held his hand out. "Do I get to know the pretty lady's name?"
"No pretty lady here but I'm called Mitchie, nice to meet you Andy." I smiled at him before taking a sip of my drink. "Better get back to my friends," I waved and he nodded in return - if he was wearing a straw hat, I'm sure he would have tipped it.
"Thanks," I opened my mouth to protest as Sean took my drink. "Well, clearly our days are getting better. Bad luck or do you think we prayed too much for something to happen?"
"The first one sounds right. Sean, I swear that that guy was him..."
"Who?" Sean put his arm around my shoulder and rested his head against mine. "Mitchie? Who do you think it is?" I didn't respond because the man I was going to say just pulled into the parking lot, and he didn't look too happy.
