Chapter thirty-seven.
I sat in the back of the car thinking over the past few days; my dad was back, Tony didn't regret his feelings for me and Robbie wanted me to talk to Tessa. Too many thoughts were running through my mind at the moment and it would soon lead to a headache.
"Are you okay?" Tony whispered from his seat next to me. I nodded my head even though I felt far from okay, thoughts kept running through my head as we pulled into the school parking lot.
"I need to talk to Tessa," I told Tony.
"Okay, can't she wait though?"
"But-"
"No buts, let's spend some time together." He looked at James in the mirror; his brother rolled his eyes and got out the car with a wave. I felt bad for Tony kicking him out the car but I’m sure he didn’t mind.
"But," I held my hand up when he went to interrupt me. "But we've spent mostly all our time together."
"So?" He pouted and I chuckled.
"Seriously, Tony, I need to talk to Tessa, it's important."
"This has something to do with Robbie, am I right?" I nodded my head. "Okay, you're not going to tell me, are you?" I shook my head. "Okay... I'll see you later?"
"Sure, see you later." I climbed out the car and headed in the direction James went. "James, hey, wait up!"
The Johnson twin stopped midstride and looked at me. "What's up?"
"If you see Tessa tell her I need to talk to her, please?"
"Sure, no problem. Hey, I wanted to talk to you but both my brothers took your attention." He smiled and I gestured for him to go on. "Do you know who Nora likes?" He bit his lip and waited for my answer.
"Aww!" I pulled him into a hug. "Jamey like's Nora!"
"Shush," he covered my mouth but a small smile was on his lips. "Okay, maybe a tiny bit but you can't say anything."
"But didn't something happen between you two in London?"
His cheeks flushed red. "N-no, nothing happened, where did you hear that?"
I smirked at him. "Sometimes I wonder if you remember we are best friends."
"Please, don't say anything to my brothers."

"Hey, it was one of your brothers that told me," I laughed at his fallen face. "Don't worry; I've got ways to keep him quiet."
"At least I know what brother it is now." He winked and waved as the bell went. I blushed at his comment, sometimes I give things away too easily.
"I'll find out for you!" I called after him; he put his thumb up over his head and carried on walking.
~
It was lunchtime and our first day back wasn't as tiring as I thought it was going to be. Most of the lessons turned out to be okay, which was surprising. I still needed to talk to Tessa and Nora, these Johnson boys and their girl troubles.
"Look who it is," Nora said as she slid into the seat next to me.
"Just the person I was hoping to see," I told her with a grin on my face.
"Uh oh, this better be good otherwise I'll eat my lunch with those guys," she jerked her thumb over her shoulder at the table of less popular kids - not that I like the clicks and clichés going on in this school but the kids brought it on themselves with the way they act and push other people out that they dislike straight away.
"It's about your future love life."
"Okay, I'm leaving now." She laughed and settled back on her chair. "What about my future love life?"
"Who do you like?" I asked her bluntly, watching Tessa walking across the field outside. I wouldn’t get to her on time and I didn’t want to just leave Nora sitting here by herself.
Nora turned around in her chair and followed my gaze. "Someone. What's with you looking for Tessa? James told me about it earlier."
"I need to talk to her. Sorry, you've got my full attention. Who do you like?"
"You know who I like," she told me.
"Still James?" She nodded. "Aww, can I set you guys up?"
"No."
"What? Why?" I was confused as why she said no, it seemed so blunt and final.
"Because I don't want to go out with him knowing he has feelings for someone else." She looked away and bit her lip. I sighed; we weren't going to get anywhere if she thinks James still likes me.

"I'll be back," I held my finger up and walked over to the Johnson brothers and their friends.
"James, a word please," I smiled at the others as he stood up.
"James, tell Nora that you only like her," I said once we got close to her again. Her cheeks flushed and she shot me a glare.
"I- I only like her," James stuttered, avoiding both our gazes. I squinted my eyes at him, that didn’t sound at all convincing.
"Then you two can go out, right?" They didn't look at each other but they both looked at me. "Okay, okay, I'll leave..." I put my hands up and backed away. Guess they didn't really want my help after all.
"Hey, can I sit with you guys?" I asked Robbie and Tony as I played with my bag strap.
"Sure, have a seat."
"Thanks. I don't think them two are happy with me," I nodded my head in the direction of the awkward pair.
"Why?" Robbie asked, playing with his food.
"I told James to tell her he only had feelings for her, he does though so I don't get why they're annoyed," I folded my arms over my chest.
"But that means he lied to her..." Robbie looked at me then his brother. "Never mind." I bit my lip, knowing what he was talking about.
"Oh, I'm gonna go talk to her..." I told Robbie as I stood up. The bell rung and my shoulders sagged; I was never going to get a chance to talk to her. "Sorry, Robbie, at the end of the day, yeah?" He nodded and stood up, he waved bye before heading towards the exit. "See you later... if you're still driving me home, that is."
"Of course I am, see you later," Tony hugged me before following his brother out the exit.
"Hey, Tessa! Wait up." The red head stopped walking and turned to me.
"Oh, hey, Mitchie, long time no speak, how you been?"
"I've been good, how about you?" We both started walking in the direction of the science wing.
"Good, thank you. What's up?"
"I was wondering if I could talk to you after school." We came to a stop outside the classroom and she looked at me before shrugging.
"Sure, we need a catch up." She smiled and waved before disappearing in the afternoon crowd of kids.
~
I was leaning against the wall waiting for Tessa when I saw Nora walking out with James; she gave me a shy smile before they headed towards her car. I tapped my foot with a raised eyebrow, James looked over his shoulder, there wasn't a smile on his face like the one on Nora's but I didn't think anything of it.
"Hey," Tessa greeted me as she came out the school building. "Fancy getting a cup of coffee?"
"Sure," I held my index finger up and jogged over to Tony and Robbie. "I'm going out with Tessa; I'll see you guys later." I gave Robbie a pointed look that basically told him I was going to talk to her.
Fifteen minutes later we were sitting in a small cafe, catching up on things that’s happened and why we haven't spoken in so long. "It feels like forever," she commented as her hands balanced her head.
"I know, we just drifted apart..."
"We need to hang out more," she said, flashing me a smile.
"Of course. You were my first friend at school and you introduced me to Zac." I took a sip of my coffee and continued, "It would be weird if none of that happened."
"True, true. How are things with you and Zac?"
"Okay, I guess. It's weird because of everything. The brothers, Zac, London, my new best boy friend and everything else that can't seem to think of at this moment." I closed my eyes and rubbed my temples. Oh, right, the whole reason I'm here. "What's happening between you and Robbie?"
She set her cup down and looked around, sighing she answered me. "I don't know. We were talking... joking around... one thing led to another..."
I stared wide-eyed at her. "Whoa, you two-" I made sure no one was listening before saying the rest, "done it?"
"You cannot tell anyone, please." Her hands clasped together and she said please again.
"Okay, but why aren't you two talking? So what if you did it?" I looked at her face. "Oh my God, Tessa are you pregnant?"
~
Dun, dun, duuunnn...
Haha, what do you guys think? Should Tessa be pregnant or not? :)

LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
