Chapter Six.

I woke up to the sound of beeping, turning my head to the side I saw Zac on a bed next to me. I gasped; realising we was in a hospital.

"You're awake then," a familar voice said. I looked around the plain white room for the person. Sitting on a uncomfortable plasitic blue chair was Tony.

I nodded, "what happened?"

"How can you not remember?" He raised his eyebrow and sat down the the hospital bed. I shrugged and he sighed.

"You passed out after you fell in the pool, Zac hurt his head, remember?"

I came all flooding back to me, Phoebe was shouting in my face, I fell in the pool with Zac and he hit his head! I gasped, tears forming in my eyes.

"Don't cry, please, don't cry. Zac's fine, they said the cut wasn't too deep," Tony said, hugging me.

I put my head in the crook of his neck, "okay, I won't cry. When is he going to wake up?"

"He should be awake soon," I heard someone say from the door. I lifted my head up and saw James, he was smiling weakly.

"How are you feeling, baby girl?" James asked; standing at the end of my bed, eyeing Tony.

"I suppose I feel better than him," I said, pointing to Zac, who was stirring on his bed.

"Mitchie?" Zac's faint voice said. I got off the bed and walked over to him.

"I'm here Zac, are you alright?"

"Am I alright? Phoebe was shouting in your face and you fell in the pool!" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Zac, you do realise your the one in the hospital bed, you fell in the pool with me, you got a cut on your head... Remember?" He slowly nodded, his mouth forming a O shape.

Me, Zac, Tony and James all played a card game before they had to go. I had to stay the night just in case anything happens to me during the day. Zac was here for the next few days, just in case the cut on his head got worse or he feels any of the symptons the doctor said.

It was just gone midnight; me and Zac were sitting crossed legged on his bed, talking about random things and watching tv.

"Favourite colour?" I asked.

"Probably red, how about you?"

"Same, same."

"Cool. Favourite food?"

"Probably... Pizza, yum. I fancy some now," I crossed my arms over my chest, "thanks for making me think of the best food in the world while I can't get any!"

He laughed and slung his arm around my shoulders, "maybe tomorrow."

I sighed and leant back on his bed, "I'm sorry Zac. This was all my fault."

He looked at me for a moment before squeezing my side. "Don't believe that. Phoebe shouldn't have been shouting in your face, please don't blame yourself," he begged, looking into my eyes.

I nodded and hugged him. "I best be getting back into my bed, need plently of sleep for all the pizza I'm going to eat tomorrow," I joked. He looked out the window and nodded slowly. "What's wrong?" I asked him, trying to get him to look at me. "Is it your head? Does it hurt? Do you want a nurse, I could go get one..." I was about to get up when he pulled my arm down.

"No, it's fine. I was just.."

I poked his side, "spit it out."

"I was wondering if you wanted to sleep here...with me?" As he spoke, his voice lowered, I smiled at him before getting comfortable on the bed.

Save ourselves by The Blackout was playing somewhere, I rubbed my eyes and looked on the side. Zac's phone was ringing, very loudly I might add.

I nudged him, "Zac, your phone is ringing."

He put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer, "let it go to voicemail. I'm comfortable."

I laughed and settled into the bed more, using Zac as a pillow. I shut my eyes and drifted into sleep.

What felt like minutes later Save Ourselves was playing again. I groaned and sat up. "Zac answer your damn phone," he laughed and leant over me to pick it up.

Was he awake the whole time?

"Hello?" Zac said, running his hand through his messed up hair. Oh, no, what would mine look like?

"Yeah, okay, fine...Bye." He shut his phone, placed it on the side and laid back down; pulling me with him.

"Erm, who was it?" I asked him, rolling over to face him.

"Just Victoria. Them lot are coming by to visit." I nodded and placed my head in the crook of his neck.

"I'm going back to sleep, goodnight," I told him, he was silently shaking.

I couldn't believe it, I was being woken up for the third time by a phone. This time it was the click of a photo being taken. Zac's arm tightened around me as I opened my eyes.

I could see Victoria, Nora, Amber, Tony, Josh and James all standing around Zac's bed, smiling at us. Except Tony and James. I rubbed my eyes before sitting up, taking Zac with me.

"Aw, I was having a nice dream, you woke me." Zac said, his eyes still closed.

"Open your eyes and your dream is still on the bed next to you," Victoria said, causing everyone to laugh.

Zac's eyes opened wide. "Opps. How long have they been here for?" He whispered into my ear.

I shrugged, "I don't know, I was woken by their camera's."

He groaned and shook his head.

They were releasing Zac today, they thought he would be fine, if anything to go back to them. Me, Zac, Nora and James all walked out the hospital together.

"Well, I fancy something to eat," Zac said, "hospital breakfast wasn't that nice, you know." I agreed with him, it was a disgusting porridge.

"What do you want to eat then?" Nora asked.

"I fancy some pizza for lunch, how about you guys?" Zac said, looking directly at me, he winked before he carried on walking.

"Sure, let's get some at that new pizza place down the road." I smiled and nodded at James.
