Bellamy put the damp cloth back on Octavia's leg and the girl gave a growl, squeezing Lyanna's hand.
"What the hell was it?" He asked, concern lacing his voice, as he looked at his little sister. Lyanna was sitting next to Octavia, eager to know what had happened to her.
"I don't know. The others said it looked like a giant snake."
"So you two" Bellamy said looking at the girl's hands entwined "You meet on the floor"
"Lya!" Octavia yelled and then she moaned of pain.
"I'm sorry 'Tavia, I didn't want to tell him but...he's your brother, he has the right to know" Lyanna said apologetically .
He saw Octavia angry, How had she hidden the fact of having a best friend? Or how had she had a friend under the floor? Was it never safe to hide her there?
"Can I know how?"
Lyanna sighed as she stroked Octavia's hand with her thumb, to distract her a little from the burning in her leg.
"We had eight, maybe nine, the floors were connected, one day I was ..." Lyanna stopped abruptly, she was not going to tell Bellamy the real reason why she was under the floor that day, only Octavia knew, she decided, as always, to lie "...was playing hide and seek, I decided to hide in the trapdoor of my home but then I realized that there was much more than a trapdoor, I crawled until I reached another trapdoor, Octavia's"
"We decided to see ourselves in the trapdoor whenever we could. Mom never knew, I made sure of that" Octavia added.
"You are Valjean's daughter, that mean one of the privileged, why you didn't turn Octavia and our mother?"Bellamy said with distrust.
"To get my only friend killed? Besides You know Valjean, you know that he always gave everything he could to the people, he helped both. Your mother and other people Bellamy, he vowed not to float her, he is one of the few privileged who give and don't want nothing in return. My father is a decent man"Lyanna said a little angry, she could understand Bellamy's distrust but Jean Valjean was the noblest man Lyanna ever met.

Bellamy felt guilty, of course he knew Valjean, he was one of the richest men in the Ark and the only one who always went to the poorest stations and gave everything he could; blankets, medicines, food, even toys for small children. He nodded, unable to see Lyanna in the face, thanks to him the girl might never be able to see her father again.
"You could have been killed." Bellamy told Octavia, changing the subject.
"If it weren't for Jasper, Octavia would be dead." Clarke confirmed appearing seemingly out of nowhere.
"You guys leaving? I'm coming too." Octavia tried to stand.
"No, no. No way, not again." Bellamy made her sit back down, shaking his head.
"He's right your leg will just slow us down." Clarke spoke and Octavia huffed.
'Tavia, your leg is not completely healthy, I don't want it to become infected, so you stay here, you gave me a fright, don't give me another, I'm going " Lyanna said putting herself at the level of her friend and giving her a smile.
"I'm here for you." Clarke nodded at Bellamy who looked surprised. "I hear you have a gun."
Bellamy lifted his shirt a little, revealing the gun, Lyanna immediately had the need to pull it out and use it, Lyanna wasn't a fan of guns, but she couldn't use a knife without cutting herself a bit.
"Good. Follow me."
"Why would I do that?" Bellamy questioned.
Clarke stepped closer to him. "Because you want them to follow you, and right now they're thinking only one of us is scared."
Lyanna proudly saw Clarke, who spoke to Bellamy without a trace of fear, she really liked Clarke, Brave Lyanna thought and strong.
"Murphy, come with me. Atom, my sister does not leave this camp. Is that clear?"Bellamy ordered.

"I don't need a babysitter." Octavia complained.
Bellamy ignored her. "Anybody touches her they answer to me." Atom nodded.
Bellamy looked at Murphy, "Let's go.'"
[...]
"Those guys are not just bullies, Clarke, They are dangerous criminals" Wells said trying to keep up.
"I'm counting on it" Clarke responded
Lyanna was between Clarke and Wells, and, Murphy and Bellamy, alone, trying to keep up the pace, once again her red cloak was entangled with a branch and very carefully, not to break it, took it out carefully and put on the hood again, feeling the gaze of Bellamy on her back she tried to ignore it.
"Since when are we in the rescuing business?" Murphy questioned Bellamy .
"The ark thinks the prince is dead. Once they think the princess and doll face are too, they'll never come down. I'm getting that wristband even if I have to cut her hand off to do it." Bellamy's face showed determination.
"Hey, Hold Up, What's the rush? Nobody survives a spear through the heart," Bellamy said, waving his gun around.
"Put the gun away, Bellamy," Wells warned, which Murphy immediately responded with.
"Well, why don't you do something about it, huh?"
"Stop! Stop! Can you please stop it for, like, 5 minutes? There's one of us in pain out there " Lyanna said with such a sweet voice, like a siren, that the 3 boys stayed still.
"Jasper screamed when they moved him. If the spear struck his heart, he would've died instantly," Clarke responded.
"As soon as you two takes this wristbands off, we can go," Bellamy gripped Clarke and Lyanna's wrists. They both immediately yanked their hands away.
"The only way the Ark is gonna think I'm dead is if I'm dead. Got it?" Clarke snapped.
Bellamy looked at Lyanna, the girl looked a little frightened but she caressed the wristband, sighed and turned her gaze to Bellamy.
"I will not spoil the opportunity to live with my father on your whim, Bellamy"
Bellamy was astonished, Lyanna had answered him, had given her face without hesitation, did not speak to him softly or remained silent as she normally did.
"Brave princess" he smirked "and stubborn Dolly"
"Why don't you find your own nickname?" Finn asked coming behind them.
"I knew you would come space walker" said Lyanna with a smile on her face
"We need to split up, cover more ground. Clarke, Lya, come with me," Finn said, catching up.
"No" Bellamy said, putting an arm on Lya's shoulders "Actually, doll face is coming with me"
"Bellamy let Lyanna go, she's not coming with you, no way"Finn denied.
"Finn, Finn it's okay" Lyanna said.

Hail, Apocalypse King! A LitRPG where the MC fights the System Apocalypse Invaders with military training, dark magic, and a Humanity, Fuck Yeah attitude! Hounded by trauma from combat and his childhood upbringing, Sergeant DeSean Solomon left the U.S. Marines and attends college alone. While at a house party, the world as DeSean knows it ends. All of humanity receives a System notification. Do you wish to be saved from the taint of chaos? A countdown starts. Time is of the essence. To say yes will transform you into a monstrous zealot controlled by a genocidal eldritch invader. To say no is to be marked for the slaughter and forced into a high-stakes and vicious survival game. Even with the introduction of system progression stats, magical powers, and contracts with otherworldly creatures, all signs point toward the earth and its people getting subjugated. Or suffering a worse fate. Unless DeSean has a say in it. When the end of the world comes knocking, it's not a hero or someone with a special bloodline that rises to the occasion. For Grass and Glory
Being old is difficult. But losing the love of your life to natural selection and being left in the dirt is even harder. Join Walton in his final journey as he figures out if his principals are just as important when there is nothing left to lose. Combating hypocrisy, youth, bad diet practises and a general lack of respect towards humanity, Walton's struggles are the true adventure of the everyday man. A story about unlikely friendship, being old, unexpected beauty, and the obsession of kicking a round leather ball in the best way possible. A story about a new world, and its possibilities. A story about the grass, and let us hope, a small bit of glory? Author note: This is a project of mine I started in 2016 and recently been writing for again. Writing for me is something I love to do, but can't always find the time for. This is also the reason I have not finished (or come close to) Ethereal Space yet. I get distracted. I started this novel intending to create something else, to break a bit with the current go to's story wise in the litRPG or virtual reality communities. So, this is my attempt at "Something different" I would love feedback or just your general opinion. But most of all, I hope it entertains. Enjoy!
