Rex swallowed hard, slowly processing what he was hearing.
"W-what's coming?" he asked, failing to stop his voice from shaking.
Ahsoka was breathing heavily now, her eyes darting everywhere until they landed on his own.
"I don't know" she breathed, "I can't remember anything else"
Rex tried to stifle his fear and took a deep breath. Ahsoka sensed his uneasiness and placed a hand on his cheek. He turned to her, a terrified look plastered on his face.
"It's going to be okay Rex" Ahsoka comforted him.
Rex, still shell shocked, placed his head on Ahsoka's chest and cuddled into her. He couldn't deny it. He was scared. Petrified was actually a better word for it. Ahsoka rubbed his shoulder reassuringly but it didn't do much to help Rex's growing nerves. Ahsoka rested her head on Rex's trying to put his mind at ease. No such luck. It didn't take a Jedi to know he was scared to death. From the bedroom they could hear the fierce, freezing cold winds that dominated the icy terrain outside. Why'd it have to be so kriffing cold?
Suddenly a loud bang caught their attention. Rex shot up, panting, while beads of sweat formed on his forehead.
"Ahsoka..." he started.
"I know I heard it too" she breathed, reaching for her pistol.
Slowly the clone and togruta got off the bed and crept towards the door. Rex grabbed his helmet, shoving it on his head. There was another bang, making Rex and Ahsoka jump. Rex scrambled to get his blasters, frantically putting his finger on the trigger. Ahsoka began to countdown.
"3"
Rex wiped the sweat from his forehead, and shook off his fear.
"2"
All the worst possible scenarios ran through Ahsoka's head.
"1"
The duo burst through the door, blasters at the ready. They were expecting a bounty hunter, maybe even a patrol of clones looking for them. But the last thing they were expecting was a Kowakian monkey-lizard. The creature stared at them in amusement, cocking its head just the slightest. Rex let his guns fall at his sides.

"It's a monkey-lizard," Rex said, slowly realizing there was no real threat.
Ahsoka still could feel that something was off. Then realization hit her like a boulder.
"Rex that's not just any monkey-lizard" she growled, stiffening and tightening the grip on her pistol.
Then came the footsteps. The footsteps of five, maybe six people. They turned the corner and Ahsoka and Rex came face to face with Hondo and his crew of pirates. They all had guns pointing at Ahsoka and Rex. This didn't stop the pair from keeping their blasters ready though. The monkey-lizard gave a chirp and hopped up onto Hondo's shoulder.
"Hondo" Ahsoka spat, gritting her teeth.
"Oh my dear" he purred, "Are you not happy to see me?"
Silence. Hondo frowned, then started to laugh.
"I see the love birds finally got together" he cooed.
"What do you want Hondo?" Ahsoka snarled.
Hondo faked a hurt look, "How could you assume such a thing! Have you ever thought that maybe I just want to have a friendly conversation?"
"What do you want?" Ahsoka repeated, a little more forced this time.
Hondo gave a light chuckle, "There is a large bounty on your head"
"We know" Rex growled.
Hondo went on, "And I was thinking we made a little deal"
Ahsoka raised an eyebrow.
"Everything will be explained in good time, but for now... you're our prisoners" Hondo exclaimed with a sickening smile.
Rex clenched his jaw under his mask. No way was he giving up without a fight. He stopped for a moment before tackling the pirate closest to him. The rather skinny Weequay yelped and fumbled for his blaster. Soon the chaos unfolded and the pirates started to pry Rex of the Weequay. Ahsoka took this moment to shoot the light overhead.
It went pitch black and Ahsoka grabbed Rex's arm, leading him away from the mess. Ahsoka used the force to guide her through the ship and to the nearest exit. Once they opened the door, they immediately regretted it. A big gust of cold air flew in and whipped their faces. By this time the pirates had figured out their little trick and came stomping down the halls. As soon as Hondo was close enough, he grabbed Ahsoka's arm and put his arm around her neck. Rex gasped, and yelled her name in horror.

Hondo put a blaster to Ahsoka's head, a smug look on his face.
"You wouldn't leave her now would you?" Hondo pointed out, digging the pistol into Ahsoka's montrals.
She cried out in pain and Rex jerked to attention, sending a look of concern to Ahsoka. Even thought his helmet was on, Ahsoka could sense his worry.
"Even if you did, where would you go?" Hondo asked, "You landed on a planet made of ice!"
Hondo laughed at his joke, a struggling Ahsoka in his grip. He clicked a charge into place, making Ahsoka stop right away.
"Let her go" Rex demanded, "And I'll come with you. I promise"
Hondo let a smile spread across his face.
"Good" he purred, "Sorgon! Get these two tied up right away!"
He let go of Ahsoka, pushing her to the ground in front of him. Ahsoka fell to her knees, quickly scrambling to her feet and into Rex's arms. Rex hugged her tightly, stroking her lekku just to be torn away from her again. They were taken to the cockpit, where Hondo started up the engine and started to push a number of buttons.
Sorgon, the biggest pirate there, forced Rex's hands behind his back and put them in binders. He put shackles around Rex's ankles, then shoved him into the wall. Rex slid down the wall and landed on his side.
"Don't hurt him" Ahsoka growled.
"You're a feisty girl aren't you?" a smaller pirate cooed.
Ahsoka spit at their feet, "Let him go and I'll show you how feisty I can really be"
The pirates just laughed, making Ahsoka growl in fury.
"Now for you" Sorgon started, "You go in there"
He pointed to a force cage in the corner. Ahsoka gritted her teeth but stepped onto the circular center. As soon as she was inside Sorgon pressed a blue button and the electrical shields came up. She clenched her fists and bit her lip, but she didn't move. If she did, she would most definitely get an electrical burn.
Rex just glared at the pirates, secretly fidgeting with the binders. They paid no mind to him, focusing more on the controls and how they would split the money when they got it. Hondo convinced them that they would get their fair share but Rex knew him better than that. He assumed that the pirate would keep the bounty all for himself once he got it.
Ahsoka saw what Rex was doing and stretched her hand out, her palm facing Rex. She tried to use the force to relieve him of the binders. But suddenly sparks of electricity covered her body, followed by the feeling of immense agony. She screamed, flinching at every jolt of an electric current. This made her collide with the walls of her cell, causing more electricity to burn her skin, surge through her veins, and sear her aching body.
The pirates turned around, only to watch her writhe in pain. They laughed and Rex roared in anger.
"Help her!" he demanded.
"She did that to herself" Hondo implied, "She uses the force, she pays the price"
Finally Ahsoka collapsed to her knees, breathing heavily with burn and scorch marks covering her body. A tear fell down her cheek and Rex's heart broke for her. She looked at him and gave a weak nod as if to say, "I'm fine" But Rex knew she was anything but fine.
"Where to captain?" one of the more scrawny pirates asked after the show was over.
Hondo chuckled and flew the ship high into the sky, "We're going home boys! We're going to Sriluur!"
