《Sure Thing, Commander ✔︎》22

Rex's heart dropped like a stone.
"What did you just say?" he snarled.
"I said Ahsoka kissed me" Lux sneered, proud of the effect this had on Rex, "Back when she was helping me deal with the death watch"
Lux just happened to leave out the tiny detail that it was to keep Ahsoka's cover. This made the situation seem much worse than it actually was, infuriating Rex. He felt rage boil up inside of him, and squeezed the controls as hard as he could. He felt the rubber bend under his grasp, the sound of it hurting his ears.
"What?" Lux cooed, "Sad that Ahsoka loves me more than she could ever love you?"
"She. Doesn't. Love. You." Rex growled.
"Yes. She. Does." Lux shot back.
Rex landed the ship and stomped off, heading right for the medical tent. When he arrived Ahsoka was sitting upright, her lugs swung over the side of the cot. She was the only person there. She looked up and smiled when she saw Rex.
"Hey! Did you find a ship?" She eagerly asked.
Suddenly her smile quickly disappeared when she saw the look of pure anger on his face. Lux strolled in behind Rex and Ahsoka glared at the boy. He must have something to do with this.
"Rex what's wrong?" Ahsoka asked, trying to keep her voice from shaking as Rex came closer and closer to her.
She had never seen him this upset in his life. It scared her. What could Lux have done that made him this upset? Then Ahsoka realized. Her eyes grew wide and she swallowed hard.
"Rex," she repeated, "Tell me what's wrong"
"What's wrong?!" he said, then laughed on the edge of hysteria, "This kriffing piece of bantha fodder told me you kissed him"
Ahsoka went dead silent.
"And I thought that couldn't be true so-" Rex looked over to see the togruta next to him, pale face and fidgety.
"No..." he breathed, "Ahsoka?"
Ahsoka looked everywhere except for where Rex was. She couldn't bear to see the pained, heartbroken, expression on his face any longer. Rex felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. It was true. No, it couldn't be. How did this happen? Why did he spend all his love and affection on Ahsoka just for it to be forgotten and thrown away.

"A-Ahsoka" he stuttered, "I-i-is that true?"
"I-" Ahsoka started, but she couldn't finish the sentence.
Her mouth opened once more but no words came out. She felt as her face got increasingly hotter and hotter.
"Tell. Me." Rex demanded, tears streaming down his face.
Ahsoka jumped at the harshness of his voice. He had never yelled at her before, nor had she yelled at him. This was different. She choked on her breath, a tear rolling down her cheek as well.
"It's true" she sputtered, "Rex...Rex I'm so sorry"
Rex's lip curled out of pain and he looked away, angrily wiping the tears away. Meanwhile Lux was just standing and watching the show unfold. The demeanor was tense, angry, and hurtful all at the same time. Lux loved it. Ahsoka broke down, crying into her hands. The sound of her pain broke the stale silence that hung in the air.
"Rex you have to understand-" she wailed but Rex intervened.
"What?" he yelled, "What should I understand about that? I thought you loved me!"
"I do Rex I do!" she sobbed.
"Then how could you do something like that?!" he shouted, angry tears flowing freely.
"It was a long time ago!" she protested, "Before us!"
With that she pointed to Rex then to herself. It hurt Rex to see Ahsoka like this, but it hurt him even more that she had kissed the one of many people Rex despised.
"Ahsoka I have loved you since the day you became Anakin's padawan!" Rex confessed, "From the first time I ever laid eyes on you!"
There was a moment of silence. Ahsoka's mouth gaped open and she stared at her love in shock.
"Rex... I've always loved you!" she pointed out, "It took Lux kissing me to see that! But you have to understand I never wanted to kiss him!"
"Well to me it sounds like you didn't try to kriffing stop him!" Rex hollered.
"So you're trusting him over me now!" Ahsoka yelled, the tears still falling.
Rex opened his mouth to argue but nothing came out. Now it was his turn to feel bad. Ahsoka was right; he had trusted this slime ball over his Soka. He grabbed his head and roared in anger.

"Rex, Lux kissed me to keep my cover!" Ahsoka shouted, "The deathwatch hates Jedi, you know that! I pretended to be his betrothed to keep my cover! To keep me safe, alive!"
"Betrothed?" Rex growled, "Betrothed?!"
This was the last straw for Rex. He marched over to Lux and Ahsoka's eyes grew wide as she knew what was about to happen. Lux soon figured it out as well and started to back up.
"Rex don't be ridiculous" he sputtered, his accent thick, "You and I both know this is all her fault and not mine!"
"That's where your wrong" he snarled, "This is all your fault"
He tackled the flailing boy to the ground, then proceeded to punch him. He took all his anger out on Lux. Lux grunted and groaned as Rex busted his lip and bruised his face all over. Lux started to struggle against Rex's grip, landing a few punches on his own face.
"STOP!" Ahsoka cried, but just hearing her voice made Rex punch Lux harder.
His fault. This was all his fault. If he hadn't kissed Ahsoka in the first place then they could have made something up. She never had to be his betrothed. He just did that for his own pleasure. Rex finally laid off Lux for a moment only to begin kicking Lux in the side. Lux scrambled to his feet and charged at the clone. They both went flying into a medical cart, tools and equipment spilling everywhere.
"REX!" Ahsoka screamed, as more tears rolled down her rough cheeks.
Lux found the nearest tool, and attempted to hit Rex with it. Big mistake. Rex caught it right before it hit him, and threw it to the side. He howled in fury and sweeped Lux off his feet. Lux fell with a thud and groaned, rubbing his head.
Rex kicked. He kicked him everywhere, from his head to his legs. He wanted Lux to feel pain. The same pain he felt right now. The same pain that Lux inflicted on him. Lux stood up but Rex was ready. They both started to circle each other, fists balled and raised.
"Come on tough guy!" Lux shouted, blood oozing from his nose as well as several other cuts on his face.
Meanwhile Rex had only minor damage, since Lux was not the best at fighting. Rex already knew his weaknesses, it was in his blood. His clone training on Kamino had prepared him for this. There was no way Lux could win.
"This is all your fault" Rex said, his voice dangerously soft.
Lux looked perplexed, "My fault? Oh Rex, she was asking for it"
With that Lux smiled. It was a sickening, wicked, creepy, and malicious smile. Just looking at it made Rex's skin crawl. They still circled one another, each one waiting for the other to make the first move.
"Just stop!" Ahsoka yelled, "This isn't worth it!"
Rex still paid no mind to her. Right now all he wanted to do was cave Lux's face in. He didn't pay attention to reason or common sense. That's when Lux lunged at him. Rex dodged him swiftly, sending Lux crashing to the ground.
Rex took the opportunity to land an uppercut that launched the frail boy in the air. He landed roughly on his side and Ahsoka heard a sickening crack. Lux gasped in pain, clutching his ribs. Rex on the other hand didn't feel pain at all, he had too much adrenaline.
As soon as Lux tried to get up Rex just pinned him down again. He pushed his head to the ground and forced his arms behind his back. Lux grunted and squirmed underneath the clone on his back.
"Rex!" Ahsoka cried, "Stop!"
Finally Rex came back into reality. He saw what he was doing and he saw a look of pure terror in Ahsoka's eyes. What had he done? He didn't want Ahsoka to see him as a monster, he wanted her to see him as someone who loves her. She was still crying and Rex was so frustrated that he didn't realize he was bawling as well.
Rex slowly got off Lux's back, still fuming with rage. It didn't take a Jedi to see how upset he was over this. He went over to Ahsoka but she flinched, stepping back. Suddenly all the anger melted away. All he could think about was how scared she looked. She was afraid of him.

8 387Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.

8 144Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
