Rex helped wheel Ahsoka towards the medical tent, with the help of a couple medics. Most of the refuge had been fixed after the imperial attack. There were still hints of damage but nothing serious. They started shouting orders and crowding around Ahsoka. They hooked her up to an IV, put an oxygen mask around her face, and began to tend to her wounds. Rex stayed by her side the entire time, stroking her montrals and whispering comforting comments. Soon the doctors had finished their work and left Rex with Ahsoka as they began to help Lux. They told Rex she had a major cut on her thigh, Carbon dioxide poisoning, as well as other minor scratches. It was nothing they couldn't handle and they expected her to make a full recovery, though it would take time. When she awoke she would be very weak, so they would have to stay on Onderon until she got better.

Ahsoka's once pale skin was now more vibrant, her breathing was better and the gash on her thigh was stitched up. Her chest rose and fell with ease and Rex was still holding her hand, nudging his thumb over her fingers. He waited until she woke up. Which was hours upon hours. At some moments Rex felt drowsy, his eyelids droopy. He stifled a yawn and tried to focus on Ahsoka. The medics had helped Lux and told him he would recover as well. Rex didn't care for him as much.

Just seeing the medics reminded Rex of Kix, and all the other clones. He couldn't go anywhere without being reminded of his fellow brothers. Kriff, he couldn't even look in the mirror without seeing their face in his very own. The pain haunted him like a terrible memory. Following him around wherever he went, and reminding him of Order 66 as well as his lost brothers. He hated it. Every single second was agony. He wanted to rid himself of the pain, but he didn't know how.

Meanwhile Ahsoka's eyes fluttered and she mumbled something that only Rex could make out.

"He'll come" she muttered.

Then her eyes hastily opened and she shot up, panting.

"Whoa whoa whoa" Rex comforted, "It's alright. I'm here"

"Rex" she breathed, throwing her arms around the clone and embracing him tightly.

"You're safe now" he whispered.

She pulled away then leaned in, so close their lips almost touched. She wiggled her fingers that were intertwined with his, her heart was beating fast.

"You came," she sighed.

"Of course I did" Rex replied, "I would risk everything for you, Soka"

A grin tugged at her mouth and she cuffed the side of Rex's face.

"I love you Rexter" she pointed out.

Then their lips met in a passionate and gentle kiss. Rex deepened it, leaning in closer and running his hands down to her hips. Ahsoka's arms dangled around Rex's neck, her hands running through and playing with his hair. They parted for a moment and pressed their foreheads together, grateful to be together again.

"I love you too, Ahsoka Tano" Rex whispered in her ear.

They were interrupted by an annoyed Lux clearing his throat. Ahsoka tensed, feeling uneasy just being near the boy. Rex saw the difference in her mood and his lip curled in disgust as he shot Lux a glare.

"I see the love birds have reunited" Lux mused.

"Shut it Bonteri" Rex growled.

Lux just snorted and rolled his eyes. He crossed his arms, a look of pure amusement flashing across his face. Ahsoka felt her skin crawl and slowly layed back down on her cot, all the adrenaline slowly fading. She wasn't fully healed yet, and she was still very weak. Rex seemed to notice.

"How are you feeling?" he asked Ahsoka.

"Better. Now I can actually breath" she joked.

Rex winced, "I'm sorry Soka...For everything"

Ahsoka shook her head, "Don't be it's not your fault. Besides I'm the one that convinced you to come here, so technically all the blame should be on me"

"No it shouldn't" Rex pointed, "It's just this planet. It's kriffed up"

"Hey Onderon is not-" Lux cleared his throat, "It's a great place and full of wonderful people!"

"Oh yeah?" Rex stood up, "Tell that to the shavit brain who treated us like slaves!"

"Just because one person on Onderon thinks differently, doesn't mean all people are like that!" Lux argued.

"Think differently?!" Rex roared, "Thinks differently?!"

"Rex," Ahsoka interrupted placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, "It's not worth it"

Rex took a deep breath, calming down and sat down next to Ahsoka once more.

Lux scoffed and pinched the bridge of his nose out of frustration.

"I need some fresh air" he growled, stomping out of the tent.

"What did he do to you?" Rex asked, turning to Ahsoka with a sympathetic look on his face.

Ahsoka was taken aback by this and her mouth hung open, her mind searching for the words to explain what happened in the tunnel.

"H-how did-" she stumbled on her words.

"Soka I see the way you cringe whenever he's around" Rex pointed out, "Now tell me what happened. Please."

Ahsoka sighed, "Ever since we arrived he's been flirting with me, telling me he's missed me and that he's so glad he gets to see me again. He makes me so uncomfortable, like the feeling you get when something doesn't feel right" "In the tunnel he kept making sly remarks and when I cut my thigh..." Ahsoka trailed off.

"What. Did. He. Do." Rex growled.

"He was trying to find where I got hurt and his hand wandered...everywhere" Ahsoka recalled, shivering at the memory, "I was too weak and he caught me when I fell. Then when he was trying to find me his hand landed right on my... on my chest"

Rex was fuming with anger, clenching his fist and growling insults under his breath. Lux was going to pay for what he did.

"That karking cantina rat" Rex snarled, starting for the exit of the tent.

Ahsoka got up to follow Rex, but grunted and fell back to her cot.

"You need to rest and heal" Rex pointed out, letting most of his anger dissolve, "I'll go and find us a ship"

A very confused Ahsoka threw Rex a sideways look, "We never got any money"

Rex gave a cheeky grin as he pulled the sack of credits from his pocket and tossed them to Ahsoka. She caught them, her jaw falling open.

"How?" was all she managed to spit out.

"I paid our friend Loomai a visit before coming to get you" Rex said with a mischievous look, "I convinced him to hand over the money we deserved"

Ahsoka choked on air.

"You sly son of a bantha" she muttered with a smile.

Rex managed a fake hurt look, dramatically clutching his chest. Ahsoka laughed, throwing her head back, full on cackling. This made Rex laugh as well and soon they were both snorting and rolling with laughter.

"Okay I need to buy us a ship" Rex pointed out taking a deep breath.

"Awwwwwwww" Ahsoka whined, puckering her lips and making a pitiful sound.

"No no no" Rex started, "Don't make that face"

Ahsoka crossed her arms and sent another sad look at Rex.

"Ahsoka," Rex said, dragging out her name for way too long.

"Rex" she groaned.

Rex chuckled and gave Ahsoak a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll be back," he declared.

"You better" she smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"Promise" Rex reassured her, "Love you and don't get yourself killed while I'm gone"

"I won't... Hopefully" she muttered the last part.

"I heard that!" Rex replied.

With that he walked out of the tent leaving the giggling togruta. Lux was outside, just staring at the sun as it set. It cast a beautiful array of colors over the sky, giving the whole atmosphere a calm feel. Rex didn't want to be near this slime ball after what he did, but he forced himself to walk forward. He tried to slip away without the boy noticing him, but Rex wasn't the quietest or most stealthiest person in the world.

"Where do you think you're going?" Lux asked.

"I'm going to buy a ship," Rex declared.
