《Prophesy of the Elven King》Ch.29 Flight and Fight.

Emma opened her eyes and smiled when she saw me looking down at her worriedly. She had been thrashing around and cold sweating. If I didn't think it would be detrimental to her development, I would have woken her up myself. We exchanged a few awkward glances, and I pretended to go back to minding my own business, but I didn't leave the hut. I was super curious what newfound powers she had! The hunt to find out was on, but I had to play reserved about it.
Emma pretended to look at her sharp fingernails, "I suppose you would like to know my new class and abilities?" Emma asked aloofly herself.
"Oh, you have a new class? If you want to tell me that would be fine I guess", I said pretending not to know or care.
"Well then come outside, and I'll show you," Emma stated while getting up and walking outside.
I followed her outside anticipating something new and exciting. I should have known something was wrong when Emma pretended like it was nothing special. If general Akbar were here, he would have said: "It's a trap!"
As soon as we were outside Emma told me her free classes name was Ghostly Flyer and her purchased one was Dragons Heir. Dragons heir enhanced her draconic abilities and allowed her to learn them easier. Ghost flier allowed her to do things she had only been able to do as a spirit. I had fallen for her trap as after explaining her classes while walking outside she grabbed me and flew straight up into the air.
I don't think I had ever screamed more like a sissy ever before or after that. We went seriously high up into the sky, and my shock at the occurrence kept me from making any attempts to adjust. There was no chance for me to keep from letting the fear get into my head. I knew the only thing that was preventing me from a horrible death and becoming a bloody splat on the ground was Emma. My hands gripped onto her like a vice. I was shivering worse than a Chihuahua and screaming at the top of my lungs. At first, Emma thought it was hilarious but quickly realized she had gone too far.

Once we landed, I dropped to the ground unable to move for a minute. Everyone got to see that I had pissed my pants like a small child. I was utterly humiliated in front of everyone! Once I regained my mobility again, I got up and grabbed new clothes from my hut. Emma worriedly was apologizing to me the whole way, but I didn't reply.
"I'm Sorry, I didn't mean to..." Emma said hurriedly.
"You didn't mean to do what? Abuse me with my greatest phobia or Humiliate me in front of everyone I know?" I snapped back at her cutting off what she had been saying.
I knew Emma had just intended to tease me and get a laugh out of it. I usually don't mind being the subject of a joke, but this time it went too far! Emma hadn't realized how badly I was terrified of heights. I knew this, but I couldn't help being angry at what she did and venting my anger out on her. All I knew was that I felt hurt and betrayed, I gave her an earful. Emma's eyes had long since had tears coming down from them.
I went to bathe at the nearby waterfall Emma followed in tow trying to calm me down. She was afraid that if she didn't resolve this before I left, then I might not come back. I could see it in her eyes, but I was so angry at her!
In the heat of the argument, I said: " I think I should find somewhere else to sleep." Then I walked away to bathe.
To an elf, this was the equivalent of saying I think we should see other people. I heard Emma fall to her knees, but I didn't look back. I listened to her whisper she was sorry over and over. I did feel like the bad guy after that. I didn't mean what I said, but I didn't want to be around her at that moment. I needed some space and some time alone. That night I slept on a tree branch instead of staying with my parents or any of our friends. I didn't want their pity or their judgment. The stiffness of the tree branch made me miss our humble little hut.

The next day we both led separate party's into the third floor of the dungeon. The other party member had all been overly quiet the whole trip. It was super awkward as no one wanted to say anything, but they really couldn't focus on anything else either. Our relationship was like the poster celebrity one's people got obsessed with on earth. Emma and I often exchanged glances at each other over a distance, but we kept looking away.
Our two party's had taken down the second-floor boss with our parent's help. It had been an oversized mole with earth magic. I prevented it from using any magic attacks by taking control of the ground with elemental weaving. Then Luna used her arrows to scare and control where the mole would appear. Luna let the creature think she could only shoot at it quickly close to her, but it was a trick. She forced the monster to pop up near my father, and he decapitated the boss in a strike so fast I could barely see his hand move.
The monsters on the third floor were mummies that looked a bit similar to "Skyrim's Draugr." Bethesda didn't invent Draugr as they were a Viking thing, but I still thought the resemblance was hilarious. I was like "Hey Draugr-san is that you?" The undead groaned back at me questioningly.
Having already calmed down I went back to our hut that night. Emma had cleaned and folded my clothes for me. She handed them to me and when I took them our hands touched, and my hand rested on top of hers.
"I'm sorry I overreacted," I said apologetically.
There was a grateful smile on her face as she replied: "No, it's my fault I hadn't thought my actions through before I did it."
I hugged her and said: "I forgive you because you know I love you girl."
Emma blushed and chuckled at the same time because I said "girl" purposefully sounding like Justin Bieber. We both disliked that guy and making fun of the way other people say certain words was kind of one our things. She wiped some tears that had formed in the corner of her eyes and I gave her a kiss on the forehead. I still held our hug as I saw no harm with such a small gesture of affection. Who knows now that we had our first fight maybe soon we would be ready to take our relationship to another level.
