《Prophesy of the Elven King》Ch.15 TRAITOR!

I had gone to sleep like I usually did and expected to have a lucid dream, but no matter what I tried it would not do as I wished. I was in what appeared like a white room that expanded as I walked one direction and the wall I moved away from would catch up to me. I was confused and tried to wake myself up, but to my surprise, it did not work. I had been alone and called out a few times until someone appeared.

It was a good-looking man with black hair. He was just under six feet tall and wore the fanciest suit I'd ever seen. The dude reminded me of Willie Wonka and was what girls might call dreamy. I instantly hated him, but I noticed he wasn't alone. There was a pretty hot Goth chick standing to the side of him. Her dress was somewhat revealing, and she looked like Morticia Adams only hotter. I didn't want to give a bad first impression, so I said "Hello" to them.

The man grinned and said "well met Juren! I am Arcway, the god of dreams."

" And I'm the fairy princess," I replied mockingly. Okay, I know I meant to make a good impression, but I was not a fan of gods. It felt like everyone knew who I was and was messing with my life. Why not tell me everything up front? It's probably because God's love to be mysterious and dramatic. I'm supposed to be the only mysterious, dreamy guy around! This guy was infringing upon my territory. The god of dreams was taken aback by my comment and was at a loss for words. The lady to his side, however, smiled and bowed.

"Oh, great princess of the fairies! I, Runa, the goddess of nightmares beseeches your ear!" she said in dramatic flair with a mocking attitude.

It was my turn to be at a loss for words. Her mocking was beautifully done, and I had to admire it. A big "sigh" escaped my lips, and I asked, "What do you want?"

"Only for you to live and grow stronger. Whether you believe me or not, we are your allies. Had I not given your father a dream telling him to move to the mountain in which you now live, you would be dead already." Arcway stated.

Now he had my attention! A cold shiver went down my currently imaginary spine. I looked him in the eyes and asked: "why help me?"

"My sister was the goddess of the elves and as long as your kind live she cannot die a true death. Saving you is saving her! He said as tears formed on his and Runa's eyes.

" How did you know who my dad would be and what's her connection?" I asked pointing at the tearful Runa.

"She was my sisters best friend. Since both of us were gods of the immaterial, we were powerless to stop the assault from the other gods on my sister. We initially chose this path as no other gods wanted such useless powers, but together we have useful abilities." Arcway explained.

Something seemed slightly off to me. She was his sister's friend, and she could have chosen to be the goddess of anything. She, however, chose a godhood that meant she would have to work with Arcway forever. I realized the truth, and a wicked grin plastered my face. It was so scary Arcway took a step back.

"What are you stupid? She clearly fancies you numbnuts!" I exclaimed pointing at her in the Phoenix Wright pose.

The goddess of nightmares face turned bright red, and she looked away shyly. Arcway was rapidly looking back between her and me in complete surprise. " I See..." He mumbled like something just made sense.

" Runa we will have to talk later after we finish with this miscreant," Arcway said in an agitated tone.

" We made this for you to keep the dark gods from finding you," Runa interjected changing the subject while handing me a cloak. It was the gaudiest looking thing I had ever seen. It was rainbow colored with the occasional black fog or red lightning bolt crossing its surface.

"Does it have to look like this?" I asked.

"No but you pissed me off, and no one will be able to see it in the real world anyway," Arcway teased.

I held the cloak in my hands suddenly realizing that they were not the hands of a baby but a grown adult. I looked down to notice the ground looked like black water and in its reflection was the most handsome man I had ever seen. It was like Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman had a baby with sexy itself. The man had a lean body with pecks and biceps that popped and a six-pack to boot. I noticed that his eyes were gold but before I came to a conclusion Arcway interrupted.

"That's what you will look like in the future. We used the processing power of the minds of all sentient beings to predict the fine details of the prophecy. Anything someone dreaming knows, we know. That is the useful abilities we have together I spoke of and how we knew where you would be." Arcway stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Well, I had to admit the guy has style. Something just occurred to me, and I immediately looked in the front of my pants. An even wickeder grin covered my face as I raised my arms in victory and shouted: " I have all the tools of success!" Runa covered her once again flushed face and cursed "ugh men!". Arcway, however, was rolling around laughing his ass off. It looks like I made a new friend.

I equipped the cloak, and a status screen appeared.

It was pretty awesome actually and I felt bad for my initial rudeness to the duo. Arcway and Runa could tell what I was feeling and before I could apologize Arcway cut me off.

"We understand, I wouldn't be more trusting in your scenario myself, however, those words you said about how clueless I am about someone fancying me... Right back at you."

Before I could ask him what he meant I woke up. I laid on my side wondering what he meant but was uncertain. I then realized that it's late fall and was getting quite cold but my back felt very warm. I looked back and Emma was spooning me. I looked over at the door of our tent. It was early morning and my dad usually took over the guards watch nearby and as usual, he had. There was no way my dad wouldn't catch Emma in the act with his absurd stats. I looked at my dad and noticed he was eating sweets. A kind of candy made from a maple-like syrup with a lemony taste from tea leaves similar to pine needles. She had bribed him!

I Pointed at my dad and shouted "TRAITOR".
