《Immortal Peace》Chapter 3

"A what?!?" Zeus bellowed.

"You have Thirty minutes to decide on who you will offer up to us, and we will let you choose which of Atlas's children you want them to marry." Rhea said simply, before signaling for the Titans to leave the throne room. "We will be outside, awaiting your choice." Rhea continued, before her, the Titans, and Damasen marched out of the throne room.

Silence befell the throne room, as the gods sat their thinking of what all just happened.

"Well then." Percy commented, from his spot on the floor, "I guess i will be going then, hope yo...." He continued, before being cut off

"Not so fast, nephew." Zeus growled, "You are gonna stay here and help us decide who will represent us."

"What?!? Why?" Percy asked. Earning a heated glare from Zeus.

"Because you know the demigods!" Zeus yelled.

"Why does it have to be a demigod? Why not a god or goddess?" Percy asked, annoyed at how they constantly used demigods for their pleasing.

"Silence!" Zeus bellowed, turning gold in anger, "And it will be a demigod, because Atlas doesn't have any children who are on the level of a god."

"On the level of a god?" Percy asked, thoroughly pissed, seeing as they were insulting Zoë and Calypso.

"What he means, Perseus." Athena started, obviously not wanting a fight between the demigod and king of the gods, mostly because she honestly didn't know who would win, "is that he doesn't have any Titan children. The Hesperides are nymph daughters of Atlas and Pleione, The Pleiades are also nymph daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Hyas, his only son, is dead. Dione is another nymph daughter of Atlas. And Calypso is also a nymph daughter of Atlas and Pleione."

Percy just grumbled in response, before noticing something. "So are you saying that your main enemies are more loyal to their spouses than you are?"

"What do you mean?" Zeus growled, obviously not liking how this day was going.

"Well of the children listed, you have the Hesperides, the Pleiades, and Calypso, all from the same parents. Whereas, just in this throne room, we have Hephaestus, who is a son of you are Hera, and Ares, a son of you and Hera. We then have Artemis and Apollo, children of you and Leto, while you were married to Hera. We have Dionysus, the offspring of you and some random mortal, again from when you were married to Hera. We have Hermes, the offspring of you and a nymph daughter of Atlas, of whom you claim to be lower than you, from when you were married to Hera, And Athena, the daughter of your first wife, who you ate and caused to fade." Percy responded, before going on another rant, "And can I just say how much of a hypocrite you are, you get mad at your father for eating your siblings, even killing him for it, but then you eat your pregnant wife!"

Once Percy finished, the throne room just sat in silence. Zeus was fuming at being talked to by a demigod in such a way, Hera was fuming at being reminded of Zeus's infidelity, but mad at Zeus or Perseus, we may never know. Athena was mad at being reminded that Zeus had permanently killed her mother. Artemis was mad, seeing as she just realized her father was as bad as all the males that she loathed.

suddenly , the atmosphere seemed to darken, the temperature dropped, and Zeus rose from his throne, master bolt in hand.

"You dare talk to your king this way?!?" Zeus yelled, causing thunder to crash all around the world, and the throne room to shake.

"What?" Percy asked, honestly not caring if he lived or died at the moment, "can't handle the truth?"

Zeus roared, before he launched his bolt towards the fully suspecting demigod.

Did it just get colder?" Asteria asked, from her spot next to her sister, Leto.

Ieputus chuckled in response.

"What's so funny?" Asteria asked, obviously confused.

"I believe young Perseus is pissing Zeus off, in some way." Damasen responded, from his spot next to Ieputus.

"What I don't get." Atlas suddenly cut in, "is why it has to be one of my kids?"

"Because you have the most." Rhea said, from her spot at the front of the group.

Suddenly all conversations were cut off by a loud boom sounding from the throne room, and a figure being launched through the doors.

"I'm blasting off again!!!" Percy yelled, as he sailed past the Titans and crashed into the ground. "ooof"

"You dare!" Zeus bellowed, now standing in the entrance of the throne room. "To continue to disrespect me in my home!"

Percy groaned slightly as he stood up, "well obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have done it, you old piece of shit!"

Zeus roared again, before launching his bolt towards Percy, and causing Percy to take cover behind a conveniently placed statue of Zeus, and causing the statue to be blown to bits.

"Dang Zeus, who would have thought you hated yourself this much!" Percy yelled, causing most of the Titans to facepalm and what they viewed as stupidity, and Damasen, Ieputus, and Kronos to laugh, knowing this is how Percy is.

"Silence!" Zeus yelled, before launching another bolt, and hitting yet another statue of himself.

"Dam! I would say your accuracy was about as good as mine, but i've never hit myself!" Percy taunted

Zeus roared again, before he continued trying to blast the pesky son of Poseidon, and before long, he had somehow managed to obliterate every statue of himself on Olympus.

"Are you done yet?" Percy asked, "Or are you planning to eat me like you did your first wife? I guess like father like son, eh?"

This caused the Titans to freeze, knowing how hard Zeus tried to cover up him eating his first wife.

"Be quiet!" Zeus thunder, causing Olympus to shake with his rage.

"Zeus!" a voice yelled from behind him, "Enough! Stop being mad just because Percy spoke the truth!"

Zeus turned around, pure hatred dancing in his eyes, before he raised his bolt to strike down whoever dared talk to him this way.

And as Percy looked past Zeus, he saw exactly who Zeus's target was, for standing between Zeus and the throne room, was none other than Hestia.

"Sister" Zeus said, glaring darkly, "You dare to speak to me this way?"

"Yes! You are acting like an idiot, and wrecking havoc to Olympus!" Hestia said, glaring right back at Zeus. "Now stop being a child and go act like the king you promised you would be!"

But Zeus was having none of it, he was sick and tired of all the disrespect he had received this day.

"You forget your place, Hestia! Maybe I should remind you, and while I am at it, maybe I will take away your pesky maidenhood, like I did with dear demeter over there." Zeus threatened, stepping closer to Hestia, master bolt in hand.

Now hearing this, Percy knew that he was not going to let this happen, so he did the only thing that his crazy brain could think of. He charged the king of the gods.

"Is that what you want, Hestia?" Zeus asked, continuing to step closer to his oldest sister, "is for me to treat you like I did demeter?"

"You wouldn't dare!" Hestia said, glaring right back at Zeus, and noting the arrival of her siblings.

"Zeus! Stand down." Hades yelled, placing a hand on Hestia's shoulder, to show she wasn't alone.

Zeus continued to glare, leveling his master bolt at each of his siblings, all the while unsuspecting of the demigod coming up behind him. "You dare challenge me! I am your king!"

"No Zeus, you aren't our king. Our king wouldn't act like this." Hestia responded, causing Zeus to turn back towards her.

"You have no say in this, sister!" Zeus spat, making the word sound like poison, "You don't hold a spot on the council, or did you forget?" Zeus started to laugh.

"Brother, stop this madness!" Hades yelled, causing Zeus to focus on him.

"How about no!" Zeus yelled, raising his bolt to try and strike his brother down, before his eyes suddenly went wide and his arms went limp and he collapsed onto the ground.

"What the?" Hades asked, before he looked up from Zeus's limp form, and noticed Percy standing there, arm frozen in place from when he had used the pommel of his sword to knock Zeus out. "Perseus?"

"Hey... uncle.." Percy said, in between trying to catch his breath. "Is... everyone... alright?"

"Yeah." Poseidon said, stepping up next to his brothers limp form and giving it a good hard kick. "Nice work, son. Also, how did you survive the innitial blast?"

"No... problem.. Dad.." Percy said, before he finally regained his breath, tired after running all around Olympus dodging master bolts, and then running up to knock Zeus out. "And I condensed the water in the air to go in front of me and absorb it. so I wasn't hit with the master bolt, but the force of the blast was still enough to send me flying."

A cough broke them out of their conversation.

"Well then." Rhea said, from behind Percy, causing everyone to jump, having not noticed the arrival of the Titans. "I believe the choice is obvious."

"What do you mean?" Hera asked, stepping up next to her siblings and nephew.

"Why, I mean that Perseus." Rhea indicated the confused form of the son of Poseidon. "Will obviously represent you Olympians for the marriage, right? I mean, you would only want to offer the best you have, if you want this peace to last, right?" Rhea asked, leaving an obvious threat hanging in the air, and the Olympians to stand in shock.
