《Immortal Peace》Chapter 2

"Mother?" Zeus asked, sounding shocked, "what are you doing here?"

"What? I can't visit my children to see if they have been causing any problems?" Rhea asked, before noticing Hades, Hestia, and Poseidon standing in the middle of the throne room. "Hestia, baby, come give your mother a hug!" Rhea exclaimed, opening her arms wide and she walked towards her oldest child.

"Mother!" Hestia exclaimed, jumping into her mother's arms, which was very easy for her young form.

This seemed to snap some of the other siblings out of their stupor, because the next thing Rhea knew, Poseidon and Hades had joined in the hug, revealing a fourth individual standing in the middle of the throne room.

"And who might you be?" Rhea asked, once she had removed herself from the hug.

Percy looked up in surprise, not expecting his grandmother to notice him, "Percy Jackson, Lady Rhea." Percy said, trying to keep titles to a minimum.

"And do you hold any titles?" Rhea asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"I hold a few." Percy responded, still opting not to mention them.

Rhea just stared at Percy expectantly for a few minutes, before she got impatient, "Well, are you going to tell me the titles?"

"Oh.. um.." Percy shifted uncomfortably.

"Allow me mother!" Poseidon stepped in, seeming to glow with pride, though it seemed Rhea didn't know why. "This is Perseus 'Percy' Jackson, Son of Poseidon, twice Hero of Olympus, bane of all monsters, defeater of Ares." This drew an indignant 'HEY' from Ares, " battler of Atlas, protector of the Ophiotaurus, defeater of Antaeus, destroyer of Mount Saint Helens." this drew an indignant 'Hey' from Percy "holder of the sky, traverser of the labyrinth, traverser of the Sea of Monsters, retriever of the golden fleece, the master bolt, and the helm of darkness. Wielder of the sword Anaklusmos." This caused Percy to stand up straighter, hearing the name of his most prized possession, a weapon made of the immortal essence of one of the first friends he had lost. " defeater of Iapetus, retriever of the sword of hades, defeater of Hyperion, defeater of Kronos titan lord of time, protector of hope, praetor of the twelfth legion of Rome, leader of camp half blood, member of the prophecy of the seven, traverser of Tartarus, trickster of Nyx, traverser of the house of night, defeat of Achlys." This, along with the mention of Tartarus, cause Percy to shift uncomfortably. "Defeater of the giants Polybotes, Otis, Ephialtes, and probably others that I can't remember." Poseidon said, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly, "battler of Gaea, awakener of Gaea due to nose bleed."

"Hey!" Percy yelled, "she didn't need to know that!"

Poseidon just grinned in response, before continuing, "Defeater of Cacus, defeater of Hades."

"Hey now, brother!" Hades said, threateningly, "I let him live!"

"Sure you did, that's why your entire army was destroyed at the Styx, and you vanished into the shadows in fright." Demeter drawled, drawing chuckles from some of the younger Olympians, and full on laughs from the Older Olympians.

"Anyways." Rhea said, stopping the teasing of her son, "Are there anymore titles I should know about?"

"Well there are others, but they aren't important." Percy rushed, trying to keep his dad from naming a crap ton more titles, "The only other one that really matters, to me that is, defeater of Python, and avenger of Annabeth Chase." Percy finished, before somehow both seeming to slouch in defeat, and stand taller at the thought of avenging the woman he loves.

"Alrighty then." Rhea said, not sounding too impressed, which made Poseidon slump down onto the throne room floor, "Oh stand up Poseidon, I am very proud of your son's accomplishments, but I have other business to attend to!" Rhea said, causing Poseidon to jump back up, before he seemed to remember some titles that might make her even more proud.

"OH! He is also the Hero of Titans, and he is the recognizer and forgiver of minor gods!" Poseidon exclaimed, jumping to his feet and standing up straight.

"Oh really?" Rhea asked, raising an eyebrow, "and how did he receive these titles?"

"He was offered godhood after the second titan war!" Poseidon said proudly, "but he turned it down and instead had us swear on the Styx to free all peaceful Titans and forgive the minors gods for their actions against us!"

"Ah ha!" Rhea cried out victoriously, "So you admit to making an oath to free my people!"

This caused the Olympians to shift uncomfortably, obviously knowing where Rhea was going with this.

"Yes?" Zeus responded, though it sounded more like a question.

"Then where are they?" Rhea asked, threateningly.

"I believe Calypso is free." Zeus said, sitting up straighter.

"But you didn't free her, did you, the young son of Hepheastus freed her!" Rhea declared, before turning towards Percy, "Also I already knew all about your adventures, I just wanted to see if the tales of your humility were true. You have made me proud, grandson."

"Well, we let Leo free her!" Zeus yelled.

This caused Rhea to shift and give Zeus, the look, the look that no child would ever want to receive from their parents. "You disappoint me, Zeus." Rhea said, shaking her head sadly, "you used to be such a good boy, saving your siblings, leading the world into a better age, though Hestia should have been queen, or if not one of your sisters leading, than at least Hades. Or even Poseidon" Rhea continued, causing some of the Olympians to cast looks of pity towards Zeus, before they then nodded their heads in agreement with what Rhea had said.

"What?" Zeus asked, seemingly shocked. "Me? Disappoint you?!? When a mere demigod makes you proud?!?" Zeus continued, getting angrier by the second. "I am king of Olympus, King of the gods! I am the most powerful god to live! And you say I am a disappointment?!?" Zeus yelled, causing thunder to crash outside.

"Oh please Zeus." Rhea said, obviously unfazed by Zeus's anger, "You sister Hestia could wipe the floor with you, if she wasn't such a peaceful being."

Zeus opened his mouth, probably to say something that he would regret, before Rhea raised her hand and silenced him.

"But I am not here to tell you what a disappointment you are." Rhea said, rolling her eyes, "I want my people to finally be freed... All of them!"

"All?" Hera asked, "You don't mean..."

"Yes, even the ones who fought against you, and if you can accomplish it, I want my husband back. I think he has finally learned his lesson. Especially when he was defeated by a sixteen year old boy." Rhea responded, casting a look towards Percy, "good work with that by the way."

"I didn't defeat him by myself." Percy mumbled, "Luke was the one to land the blow, and Annabeth was the one to get through to him."

"But you are the one who fought him to a stand still." Rhea responded, "giving Luke the chance to gain control."

Zeus cleared his throat, not liking the attention Percy was getting from the Queen of Titans. "Now you listen here, Titan." Zeus said threateningly.

"Titan?!? Titan?!? That's all I am to you now?!?" Rhea asked, obviously not liking how her son was talking to her, "I am your mother, I raised you from birth, I betrayed my husband in order to protect you!"

Zeus shrunk back into his throne, realising what he had done.

"We will free the other Titans, mother, and Hades will contact Tartarus to see about getting the ones down there to be set free." Hera said, taking over for her husband.

"Very well." Rhea said, still fuming at how Zeus had acted, "When should I expect them?"

"What?" Hera asked.

"Well you don't expect me to just take you all for your word? Zeus was forced to swear on the styx by Perseus here, and he still didn't free them." Rhea said, causing Zeus to shrink back even more.

"We can have every single Titan here within thirty minutes, mother." Hades said, stepping forward, "Just let me go have a word with Tartarus, and let Hermes retrieve them from their prison."

"Very well." Rhea said, "I can wait."

And wait, she did.

The awkward atmosphere of the throne room was interrupted by many bright flashes of light, announcing the arrival of the Titans.

"Ah yeah!" Kronos said, stretching his arms, "it feels nice to be in my own body!"

"Father." Poseidon said, stiffly, stepping in front of Percy. "Pleasure to see you, as always."

Kronos released a booming laugh, "The pleasure is mine, Poseidon, and move aside, I wish to speak with the boy!"

"Now father.." Poseidon started, shifting his trident threateningly.

"Oh please, I don't plan to eat him." Kronos said, rolling his eyes, "I just wish to speak to my grandson."

Poseidon, though obviously not wanting to, moved aside to let Percy be seen.

"Perseus!" Kronos started, before being interrupted.

"It's Percy, grandfather, you should know this by now." Percy responded.

"Right right, Percival." Kronos responded.

"Whatever you say, Kione." Percy replied back, causing the Olympians to freeze, thinking Percy would start another war.

"Nice one." Kronos said, "You are definitely my grandson!" Kronos laughed, before being cut off by Rhea clearing her throat.

"Husband." Rhea said, staring deep into Kronos's golden eyes.

Kronos shifted uneasily, "Hello, dear." Kronos responded, before he was met with a flying hand to the face. "Ouch! What was that for?" Kronos asked, indignantly.

"Oh I don't know, maybe eating our children?!?" Rhea asked, "Or maybe declaring war on them for a second time? Or maybe trying to kill our grandchildren! Or maybe it is even for killing father?!?"

Kronos again shifted uneasily, "Sorry, dear. Would you believe me if I said it was a mid life crisis?"

"No! But we have other matters to worry about." Rhea said, before turning away from her troublesome husband. "It appears that one titan is missing." She said, directing this towards the Olympains, "where is Atlas.

"Oh you can't be serious!" Zeus said, rising from his throne, "we are not freeing Kronos's best general! Besides, the sky would kill us all!"

"Are you not the king of the sky, just will it back to where it should be, something you should have done when your daughter was stuck under it." Rhea responded.

"I couldn't do that for Artemis!" Zeus yelled, "The ancient laws..."

"Forbid you from interfering with mortals, last I checked Artemis was fully immortal!" Rhea responded, looking towards the twin archers, who were finally getting to know the Titan side of their family, and who were laughing with their mother.

"Well, you see." Zeus said, shifting uncomfortably.

"Oh for Hades sake!" Hera yelled, before receiving a glare from Hades. "Sorry brother. But anyways, just release Atlas!"

Zeus grumbled, before snapping his fingers, and putting the sky back in place and summoning Atlas to the throne room.

"Who, what, where?!?" Atlas yelled, looking around. "You!" Atlas yelled, spotting Percy, "You cost me Zoë !"

"Say what now?" Percy asked, jumping to the side and avoiding Atlas's first attack, "I believe it was you who smacked her towards the rocks."

"Shut up! You made her go on the quest! You made her fight me! You hid under the sky, you coward!" Atlas bellowed, continuing to rush Percy.

"Made her?" Percy asked, indignantly, continuing to dodge Atlas's attacks, "I believe you were the one who kicked her out of her home all those years ago, and if you ever knew your daughter, you would know that no one, especially a male, could make her do anything! And I wouldn't call holding the sky as hiding, that thing hurts like no other!"

Atlas stopped, thinking of what Percy said, before promptly flopping to the floor, "You are right." Atlas said, bringing his hands to his face, "I killed my daughter. I cast her out." and with that, Atlas finally released the feelings he had held in since he banished Zoë from the garden, all those years before.

"Atlas! Are you done yet? Iapetus/Bob asked, walking up next to his son.

Atlas shifted, "dad? I thought your memory was wiped?"

"Oh it was! I got it back though, now stand up, this is no way to honor your daughter!"

To this Atlas sprung up from the floor, trying to look like the proud general he was before.

"Is that everything?" Zeus asked, trying to glare at all the Titans at once.

"Hey wait!" Percy called, "could you possibly release Damasen from Tartarus?"

"Oh, we already did." Hades responded, "He said something about wanting to make an entrance worthy of Perseus." Hades continued, before the throne room doors were blasted open, and Damasen came riding in full speed on his Drakon.

"I'm back!" Damasen yelled, before jumping off the Drakon and walking towards Percy. "How are you doing young Perseus? And where is your girlfriend, Annabeth?"

Percy stiffened, before reaching towards the scabbard hanging by his side and drawing Annabeth's drakon bone sword, "She died, fighting Python, not too long ago." Percy responded, before holding the sword out to Damasen, "Here, the sword is yours."

Damasen just stared at the sword, before pushing it back towards Percy. "No. You keep it." He responded simply, before noticing Iapetus. "Bob?"

"Well Iapetus officially, but yes, it is me, brother." Iapetus laughed. But their moment was interrupted by Zeus again clearing his throat.

"Anyways. Is there anything else you require, or would you please leave our throne room." Zeus requested.

"Oh our business is far from finished." Rhea said, glaring at her youngest child. "You see Zeus, I grow tired of how you continue to treat me and the rest of the Titans. So I propose a peace treaty."

"Oh a treaty?" Zeus asked, sounding somewhat amused, "And what do you have to offer, mother? We are already in control of earth, and the Titans already failed to defeat us."

"Yes, they did fail, but I believe, especially with how you are acting, that should we fight you again, we might have more allies." Rhea responded, casting a look towards her other children, more specifically Hestia, Hades, and Poseidon.

Zeus noticing who she was looking at, shifted uncomfortably, "Fine! What do you require, for this peace treaty."

"Oh it is very simple, I want peace for my people, you can remain in control of the planet, we just want to be left alone." Rhea said.

"That's it?" Zeus asked, before scoffing, "Fine, go, be free, we will leave you alone."

"Oh please Zeus, I am not Naive. I want assurance that this Peace will last." Rhea responded.

"Assurance, what type of assurance?" Zeus asked, threateningly.

"Why the best kind, and arranged marriage!" Rhea said, smiling sweaty at Zeus.
