(Short Chapter)
I miss Nik. Not only do I miss him but it's been hard for me. I never realize how much he has been helping with our kids until he had to leave so he could hide and play his part. I haven't left the kids room all day and I am having a hard time putting them to sleep than I normally would. Hayley went with him as well, along with Hope.
But luck was on my side tonight. I managed to get them to sleep and I was really proud of myself. I just might get the hang of taking care of seven babies.
That's when I heard the first crash followed by a loud screaming. After that my ears were filled with the sound of babies crying because they couldn't sleep peacefully.
The noises downstairs didn't stop. I had to go downstairs to see what was going on since I locked myself in the kids room. I didn't want to use magic to put the kids to sleep since it was cheating but I had to if they were ever going to go to sleep tonight.
I whooshed out the room and towards the noise and I got there just in time to see a body fly through the door. Kol walked out through the broken doors along with Davina behind him and he was raging. He picked up a candle and walked towards the man who was still on the ground.
I held my hands out and did a aneurysm on the two. Kol and the man groaned as the aneurysm got stronger. Kol fell to his knees, holding his head with his hands while also letting it rest on the floor. The man did the same thing, but he had arched his back in pain.
"That is enough." I said with authority in every word. "I had just put those kids to sleep only to have them wake up again because of you two. What the bloody hell is going on anyway?" I asked as I stop the aneurysm.

"This isn't your fight." Kol said as he got back on his feet.
"It became my fight when my kids woke up to you two fighting and yelling." I said giving him the same time he used on me.
"I told you to stay your hand." Elijah said and I look to my right to see him standing next to me.
"Fine." Kol said and he tossed the candle somewhere in this Compound. "I'd rather take my chances out there with white oak than stay here with you lot." Kol looked towards me. "I need a favor as well when you get the chance." He said before he and Davina left the Compound.
I just now noticed that Lucien and Freya was here and that Lucien has been inching closer to me since I came out here.
"Marcellus paid us a visit." Elijah said. He pulled something out of his pants pocket and held up a white oak bullet. "The last remaining white oak in the world. Right here. Phoenix, if you would be so kind." Elijah said and I knew exactly what he was asking for and I would be so happy to do.
I waved my hand to the fountain and fire erupted in the empty fountain. Elijah tossed the bullet in the fire. "No!" The man yells out and he speed to the fire and reached his hand in it the retrieve the bullet before it burned to ashes.
"Brother!" Elijah screams out as we watch him pull his hand out finally grabbing the bullet. Oh my god, this is Finn. How the hell did he come back alive?
"Little witch has condemned me... to this. To remain a beast." Finn said kneeling on the ground as he cries. He looks up to Elijah. "Elijah, I can't bear an eternity with no hope of escape. Can you?"
Elijah held his open palm out to Finn. "Finn, give it to me." He calmly demanded. Finn got up and backed away from Elijah and took a defensive stance. "Give it to me." Elijah repeated.

I roll my eyes at this stalemate and held my hand in the air. I forced the bullet out of Finn's hand and made it go to Elijah's hand and he quickly caught it.
Elijah looks at his older brother with a face of shock and the two haven't said a word to each other yet. "Come on, then. After all this time, go on and destroy it." Lucien said.
"Elijah, forever is a burden that nobody should have to bear." Finn said.
"You cannot keep that white oak in this house, Elijah. It is already a beacon, drawing your enemies to you. Perhaps the best solution is obvious. Entrust it to the one who loves each of you most." Lucien said.
"I can hide it." I said as I step to Elijah's side. "If this thing has to exist the least I can do is use my most powerful to make sure no one, and I mean no one, can ever find it. It will be hidden that only family know's where it's hidden." I said. I really wish we can burn this bullet but living forever is not something everyone can burden.
Elijah hesitation was clear as he was still holding onto the white oak but he decides to give it to me, trusting me that no one will ever try to threaten us.
I quickly take the bullet in my hand. "Freya, come with me for a second." I asked and she didn't hesitate to follow me.
We walked into the kids room and I pulled out a piece of shave that was in Angel's bed. I whispered a spell and the sage started smoking. This way no one can hear a single thing that will be said in this room.
"What's the sage for?" Freya asked me as I set it down on a table.
"So no one can here what will happen. I do not doubt that something will happen because something always will. I've learned to pick up a few tricks while being in this family." I said.
I got down on my knees and went under Nicholas bed, pulling out a small wooden box. I placed the box on another table and opened it to reveal a very similar bullet that has the same details like the white oak bullet.
I held the fake bullet up to Freya as she stares at it with a shock face. "This may look like the white oak bullet but it's not. It's just a regular bullet. I need you to take the fake one with you and hide it while I go hide the real bullet." I said grabbing her hand and putting the bullet in her palm.
Freya nodded her head already knowing what was going to happen. "Where will you be placing the real one?" She asked me.
"I can't tell you that. Just know that if you and the rest of our family really knows me and know my story, you guys will figure it out." I said. I placed the real bullet in my bra making Freya give me a weird look, but I didn't really care. I look at the table and saw that the Sage has just stop smoking. I looked back at Freya. "You know what to do." I encourage her and she walked out to tell Elijah that she will be the one to hide the bullet while I make myself invisible and quickly leave the Compound.
(With my writing power I shall fuck Lucien up and give him a extremely painful death 💀. I'm almost there)

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
