《Home | The Originals》Chapter 81: Sire Line

(It's 7:30 and I'm just now realizing I didn't put a chapter title😑😑😑😑)
"Freya, this is Stefan Salvatore, an old friend. One of my trickle-down sire-lings. Long story. Stefan, this is Freya, my brand new older sister, also a long story. Stefan needs a favor." Nik said once we came into the room Freya and Elijah were in.
"You're an old "friend," are you?" Freya asked Stefan.
"Well, that kind of depends on your definition." Stefan said.
"I'm going to check in the kids." I told Nik then kissed him on his lips before I left the room.
~~~
I can hear Hayley and Marcel arguing over the fact that The Strix had took down Klaus and Elijah. I can also hear Lucien as well as he drinks from a blood bag. Their voices were getting louder and it was starting to mess with the kids sleep.
How can everything fall apart all in one night. It wasn't that long ago that we had just saved Stefan from Rayna.
I stormed out of the room and look down at the trio from the balcony. "Hey!" I yelled out getting their attention. "I'm trying to make sure the kids does not wake up so they can stay sleep while we go and rescue these two idiots of brothers. Keep your voices down." I scolded them and they all shut their mouths.
I walked down the stairs so I can stand closer to them. "Besides nothing is going to happen to their sire links anyway. All we have to do is get them out of whatever they are in." I said.
"How can you be so sure that their sire link will stay intact? Davina has the everything she needs for this spell and will make sure the link is broken." Marcel said.
"Davina took my spell out of my grimoire without my permission. There are consequences for trying to perform one of my spells and Davina will pay greatly for it for a powerful spell like that." I said getting pretty angry over the actions she had did all because she wants Klaus to die without Josh or Marcel to die, and yet is in love with Klaus brother.
"It's not just about de-siring. We've got to stop an execution." Lucien said.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I stare at Lucien with confusion. Marcel took steps closer to Lucien who was sitting on a couch. "What are you talking about?" He asked him.
"A lovesick teenage witch with a runner-up heart is somehow going to break the sire link? I'm sorry, your darling Davina is in over her head and Aya knows this. She will let Davina de-sire both brothers, then test the spell's success by firing a white oak bullet into Klaus' heart. It's a win-win for her. She's won. And when she finds out that the spell has failed, at least she's eliminated the rival sire line. Including me." Lucien explained.
"Well, we know this prophecy will not come true since Phoenix is the only person that can break any sire line." Hayley said.
"When Aya test that spell, Klaus will fall. And when Davina fail, and we know she will, the two of us will die as well." Lucien said then went back to drinking his blood bag.
"Actually. Make that the four of us." Stefan said as he walks over to us.
~~~
Stefan pulled out a map of the place that the spell is taking place. There were different entrances that were possible to get in but someone could be guarding all of these entrances.
"We could use one of those access tunnels to slip into a back room." Stefan said as he was squatting by the table.
"Hmm?" Lucien hummed.
"What? Worried about getting a little dirt on your $1,000 shoes?" Stefan asked with an obvious sarcasm.
"Actually, I'll be doing most of the heavy-lifting since the vampires we're facing are what? Seven times your age?" Lucien said back. "Is this really the best help we can get?"
Marcel got off the stairs he was sitting on since he was on the phone with someone. "Doesn't matter. We are not getting the bodies back." He said as he walks over to us. "Strix from all over the world are flying in to make sure that this spell goes off,they're guarding every entrance and exit."
"That is why you are the leader. Call it off." I said.
"No, no, no, I do that, Aya has no problem staging a coup." Marcel said.
"Marvelous. I guess, it's on me to come up with a grand plan then." Lucien said.
"No need, Lucien. Freya figured out a way to get the boys out of the chambre. She just needs a strong enough power source." Hayley said as she and Freya walks in.
"If channel Finn, but he's all for letting our brothers parish so I'll channel Lucien. The older the vampire, the better the battery." Freya said.
"We're gonna buy her some time, keep the Strix occupied." Hayley explained and I nodded my head.
"Wait, so you want me here holding hands with the leftover sister while you take the two toddlers and tackle the Strix?" Lucien asked pointing at me at the end. "You must be jok—" Lucien's neck snapped magically and I looked at Freya with a smile.
"Thank you." I said.
"Wait, so the plan is that the four of us are gonna keep 100 of the world's most ancient vampires "occupied?" Marcel stated.

"If your scared Marcel, I can always just go by myself and take them on." I said stretching my arms out.
"And get lectured by Klaus on why I let his fiancée run head first in a dangerous area? No thank you." Marcel said.
"I don't think my one woman army would have worked anyway. If any of them saw me, they would instantly know my reasons for being there so I'll just come in late and make myself invisible while I am at it. Paula bailed on me anyway. Once she found out that white oak can't kill me she thought that I wouldn't need protecting anymore since no one knows what actually can kill me." I said.
"There is another way. All you have to do is get us to the front door.
~~~
I walk into the room after seeing Marcel and Hayley get flown back over a table breaking the glasses that were on it. I passed by Rayna who was dealing with majority of the Strix that is here.
Once the witches saw me the look of fear went through each and everyone of them. I held my hand out and one by one each witch had either their neck snapped, heart ripped out, or their head just magically chopped off.
Elijah has suddenly woken up and forced a witch that was close to him into the waters. He then proceeded to drink her blood from her neck, killing her.
"Davina stop." Marcel yelled out to her but she didn't listen. Davina stood up and held both hands towards Nik who finally wakes up.
Nik flew into the air and was going to land on Davina to kill her, but Davina stopped him mid air. "You've had your time." She said then threw everyone except me back and Nik fell back into the water.
Davina continues to break the sire link but she was starting to get tired. She screamed in pain falling to her knees while she holds her head with one hand and her chest with the other, everything stopped.
I walked over to her slowly and squatted down while still looking down at her. She had blood leaking from the corner of her eyes and some coming out of her ears. "It didn't work." She whispered to herself.
"Oh course it didn't work." I said making her look up at me. "You were missing an important ingredient."
"But, I did exactly like the spell told me." Davina said as tears were starting to build up in her eyes.
I held my palm out and the spell she had took from me was now floating in the air over my palm. I grabbed the paper and flipped it over to the back where it's all blank. I waved my hand over it and ink started to show up on the paper.
"My spells are all linked to one extremely important ingredient. They require me to perform the spell." I said watching her read my name that was on the paper. "If you continue reading you will see the consequences when someone that is not me performs the spell. Of course, it's different for each spell and I can always tell when someone is using my spells and I have the power to deny them the spell or grant them. And with you, I denied."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Davina asked me as a tear fell down her face.
"The same reason you didn't tell me you stole a spell from my grimoire." I rebuttal.
"See, all my spells have different punishments. A weak spell you'll get a weak punishment, but a strong spell, you'll get a really harsh punishment." I continued.
A light was shining through Davina's arm as it goes down all the way to her hand. The same light showed in my hand and went all the way up my arm until it disappeared into my chest. "Your punishment was to lose your magic." I said and Davina let out a choked sob. "Look on the bright side. In time your magic will grow back to what it use to be. I didn't want to steal all of your magic, because it would have killed you. I'm not that evil." I said with a wink at the end. I held my hand against Davina cheek. "By the way. Kol is still alive."
"What?" Davina said.
"He never truly died that night. Of course I had to fake his sickness and his death but he was still alive and is back inside his own body. And I was going to tell you, but you sided with the wrong people. Oh, well."
I stood straight back up and help Nik out of the water. "They are still intact." He said and we hold each other close.
"Nothing is going to happen to you. I will make sure of it." I said and we left to go home.
Braindead - A Zombie LitRPG
In a world where zombies are trash mobs that children kill for easy exp, what hope does one little zed have? Zed was minding his own business when his master's domain was invaded by a plucky young heroine looking to make a name for herself. An unlikely turn of events allowed Zed to come out on top, and gave him enough experience to rise above the life of a mindless minion. Unfortunately, it also left him with no body to share it with... literally, not figuratively! This story contains: Some 'jokes' containing questionable humour. An inhuman MC who has no interest in pesky things like romance or growing a conscience. Blue boxes, and a DnD style system messily mashed together with several other systems. Gore, but nothing too gratuitous. The main character is a severed head so what do you expect? Kingdom/base building, because what good is a zombie without a good horde behind them. Releases planned for each Sunday until I build up a decent backlog.
The Solipsist
Every novel needs a main character, and in this case, it's a young man named Jacob Bates. Jacob is your average guy who likes books, television, and long walks on the beach. One day, Jacob was diagnosed with a condition that made his body frail and weak. This drove Jacob to focus solely on his studies, ending up becoming a fairly capable guy, despite his condition. The road ahead was looking great! That's when a little scene occurred between Jacob's girlfriend and one of his male classmates. Jacob's mood was a little lower than dirt from thereon. His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. One day, while Jacob was mopping the cold floors of the grocery store he worked in, a strange blue screen appeared in front of him, notifying him that the world was going through a change. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
Two Sides
Heroes and monsters are the staples of fantasy. Swords and magic, fairies and dragons, adventures and death; all things went hand in hand in some worlds not our own. Elaine Dawn grew up listening to those stories as a child, imagining, aspiring, yet as she grew she slowly lost her dreams and became detached from what the world could be, slowly becoming one with the world that was. Yet one night she found herself in a dream that became reality, and oh there they were; heroes and monsters, swords of steel, magic of tales, fairies and dragons of old, and adventures that held riches and death both. She had no fantastic magic, no supernatural strength. All she had was herself, her coin, and her life. But that was enough. As she stared into the distance, to the mountain-sized horrors of the night, she smiled and tossed her coin once again.
Apocalypse Simulator
Axed. Moratulis: a vrmmo game that promised a life just like modern times but with the promise of fantasy adventures and magic. Except after getting into the game they found out what it actually is: a simulator of the future. The objective is simple: take out the demon king, logout, and do it again. Problem is that the game feels like it's on hardcore mode. But here's the thing: if you survive to the end, you can take to the real world all of your in-game possessions. This means your looks, money, power, and items. Keyword there: survive. And so the MC is a guy that made it to the final battle. He has seen so much shit and does not have the best view of humanity at this point. And then his teammates betray him. Cliche, right? At least he messed them up real good. But he came back a month before the game began. This is his tale. Sooo what is the point of this story? Well I kinda just wanted to write a story about scumbags and them dying in horrible ways because yes I have a twisted sense of humor like that.
