《Home | The Originals》Chapter 72: Flirt

It is another festival being celebrated here in New Orleans. Axeman's Jazz Fest. Basically a serial killer witch went on a rampage and demanded that the city throw a party if they don't want no one to die. And they did and the killer kept his promise.
I was at a booth thinking if I should buy something for the kids when I feel someone come up beside me. "Lucien. What can I do for you?" I asked not looking up from all the sale items.
"You can keep me company. Or you know, go out for coffee, then later on for dinner, and after that we can spill all our secrets while gazing up into the stars." Lucien said.
"Sounds amazing." I said looking at him with a smile. "I'm sure any of these lovely ladies around us will be thrilled to go out with you." I went to turn around but he sped in front of me.
"Why would I bother with them when I have something that is beautiful standing right in front of me." He said.
"Whoever that person is is already happily taken." I said and stepped to the side so I can walk past him, but he just follows me.
"I'm Lucien Castle. Nothing will stop me from getting what I want." He said.
"Let's test that." I said. I waved my hand in front of his face and he fell to the ground unconscious. I left him there and head back to the my shop.
~~~
"Since you will be staying here until things blow over, I'm going to put you and," I look behind me to see a few vampires looking at all the stuff on the shelf, "and the others to work. I have been understaffed for too long and I can't look after this place while also taking care of my sons and daughters." I said to Paula who was behind the cashier.
"I didn't sign up for this." Paula complained.
"Nor did I but you can't always get what you want." I said with a smile then I left out the door. "Have fun."
"I hate you." Paula shouted out to me.
"I love you too."
(Not much to do in this episode. Everyone had their own thing to do.)
Can Degen survive without losing sight of who he is, or will he be forced to cover his hands in blood? Will he stand out or become like all the others who were given the same chance? Disclaimer: This is mainly just a test of commitment, to see how long I can keep this going. I'm not a particularly good writer and I'd appreciate criticism. This is set in the DC Universe
Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore. If you are not over the age of 18, turn back right now. You have been warned.
Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. I plan on submitting new chapters once a week on Tuesday evenings.
