《Home | The Originals》Chapter 51: He Knows

A knock were heard on my door and I casually walked up to it and opened the door without looking who was standing in the other side. If I was in a horror movie that would be a huge mistake, but with the night I had, I didn't care who it was. But I did start to care when Klaus was standing on the other side.
I wanted to close the door on him but I held myself back. I have no idea what he wants from me and I'm curious if he is here to either say goodbye or ask me for something.
He just stares at me. Mostly at my stomach since I lost the necklace hiding my pregnancy, but he paid attention to my face. "Why?" He asked me.
I looked at him confused. "Why what?"
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked and it was very clear to me he was talking about my unborn baby.
"I was going to tell you. But then you broke up with me and I felt that you didn't need to know since you were mourning the lost of your daughter." I said. He made a step towards me but he was stop by the barrier that was keeping him out my home. Klaus looks at me expectedly making me roll my eyes. "You can come in." I said and he walked inside my home.
He took a seat near Angel who was playing with her toys on the couch. He lifts her up and sat her on his lap. "So not only did you kept the fact you are pregnant with my child but you also plan on taking it away from me." He almost yelled out but he was reminded that Angel was also there so he kept his voice low but the anger was evident.

"Let's not forget that you broke up with me. You lost your right to decide where my baby lives when you did that." I said back also getting angry with him.
"I was trying to protect you from my enemies!" He yelled out causing Angel to be quiet.
"Don't give me that crap, Niklaus! I have made enemies as well over a thousand years and I've done fine protecting myself and Angel from them. All you had to do was trust me that I could handle myself from your enemies." I yelled back at him.
"I do trust you! I just didn't want to lose you if anything had went wrong." He said making me shut up. Angel chose that time to start crying and Klaus starts to calm her down which worked because she was sniffling now.
I sat on the couch next to him and we just stare at Angel as she starts to play with her toys again. "You were wrong." Klaus said and I look up to see he was already looking at me. "You may have lost your first family, and your one night stand tried to kill Angel, but you also gained something else from this city. You gained another family. A better one in my opinion," I roll my eyes at this but I didn't stop the smile forming on my lips, "but a family nonetheless. One that would stay by your side always and forever."
I rested my head against his shoulder as I thought over what he said. He was right. I gained another family that will always be with me. "Can we start over?" He asked me and I furrowed my eyebrows at the question.
"Are you asking me to be your lover again?" I asked him.
"I am. But this time we take it slow." He said making me smile at the thought of that.
"Yeah, we can. But no more kids for a while." I said making him laugh. He grabbed my face and pulled me into a kiss. It was really sweet and held meaning. He pulled away and rested his head against mine then we played with Angel before it was time for her to go to bed.
