《Home | The Originals》Chapter 50: Esther's offer

Hayley called me and asked me to join her at this shop. She was meeting with a witch that can help her trap Esther in the next body she jumps into and she wanted me to be there so no funny business were to happen.
"So how is everything?" Hayley asked me as we continue to watch Lenore do the spell.
"Everything is fine. The baby is still kicking and sitting on my bladder. I got weirds cravings over the month like apples dipped in bbq sauce, pickles which surprised me because I hate them, and now I'm eating fruit flavored candy like Skittles and Starburst." I said making Hayley smile.
"Your baby is going to be a fighter one day." Hayley said.
I laughed at that. "As long as he fights for the right reasons then I'm okay with it."
"So will you ever tell Klaus about the baby?" She asked me and I sighed at the question. I was hoping she wouldn't ask me that but I knew that would take a miracle to happen.
"I'm not sure. He is already depressed about losing his daughter and I don't want to burden him with something else. What's the point anyway. He br-broke up with me before I could even tell him. He won't care for the child." My voice cracked a little as I was blinking away the tears that was threatening to fall down.
Before we could continue Lenore suddenly tips over the pot making me and Hayley look at her suspiciously. She slowly looks around herself as if she has no clue where she is.
"Are you okay?" Hayley asked her and Lenore lifts her head up checking her surrounding.
"Yes."
"Are you sure because you seem-" I started to say before she cut me off.

"Just getting my bearings." Lenore said and lift her hand up to her face.
Me and Hayley look at the back of her hand and flinched back as we see a mark there. So Esther is now possessing Lenore's body. "Esther." I said stating the obvious and she looks between me and Hayley.
~~~
Hayley phone started to ring breaking the silence between the three of us. She reached out to answer it but was still looking at Esther cautiously. "Go ahead. You can answer it." Esther said as she wipes her hand off with a white cloth.
Hayley quickly answers her phone. "Elijah, I'm at Lenore's shop." Before Hayley can continue Esther whips her hand out at Hayley's direction and magically cuts the phone off. "They're gonna come for us." Hayley said to her but Esther just smirks.
"My darling, that's been the idea all along. It's so lovely to finally meet you. And I have been dying to meet the all powerful witch Phoenix. Tell me, do my sons ever acknowledge the good you bring into their lives? After all, it was you who gave them hope. The promise of a child shows us all the possibilities of a future that could be. Children are meant to save us from the worst parts of who we are. And we certainly don't hide our children from other people." Esther said and she held her hand out my way. The necklace that was spelled to hide my pregnancy flew off me and my stomach was now showing. I was bigger from my pregnancy with Angel but I never questioned it. "A truth that makes my own circumstances all the more tragic. Wouldn't you say?"
"I don't pity you Esther." Hayley said.
Esther started to play with her fingers and she looks down at her hands. "It's a terrible thing for a mother to fail their child. As you well know. But now I offer you freedom. The gift of a new body. Freedom from being a hybrid." Esther said to Hayley before looking at me. "And I can also save you too."
I raised an eyebrow at her. "How could you possibly save me? What makes you think I want to be place in another body?" I asked her.
"I can bring back the man that you lost to my husband 100 years ago. That way the two of you can live out the dream of growing old together." She said making me look at her surprised. "I have the ability to return to you all that you have lost, Phoenix, and Hayley. Phoenix, you can finally live out your fairytale dream with the man you lost a century ago. And Hayley, to make it so you can have a family of your own. More children of your own. Wouldn't that be nice?" She asked us.
I can bring Eric back with me. Bring back my first love and we can start our lives over again. My thoughts were interrupted by Klaus walking into the shop. "I assume I have the misfortune of speaking to my mother." He said as he storms towards Esther. She quickly throws salt on the ground blocking him from coming any closer to her. "You hide behind your spells like a coward."
"I did not come here to wage war." Esther said. She takes her other hand and throws salt in a different direction and I look to see Elijah standing on the other side of the salt barrier. I guess he was going to sneak up and attack her.
"Everything you do is an act for war. If you touch her, so help me—" Elijah threatens before getting cut off.
"Hayley and Phoenix are free to go. I've spoken my piece, they know why I'm here. I have come to heal our family, Elijah." Esther said looking at her third child.
"Well, that's a grand sentiment coming from you." Klaus said he turns back around to look at us but he freezes when his eyes land in my very large stomach. He came back to reality. "Go now." He told us and me and Hayley didn't think twice about leaving them alone with their mother.
