"Ah!" Caught off guard, lady Sonia failed to dodge and the tea spilled all over her dress.

"You! How dare you!" She pointed her finger towards Angelina and shouted at her angrily.

"Oh my...lady Sonia.. your dress..... it seems you should go back now..."

"I-.... I'll never forget this!" Lady Sonia said before marching to the door and leaving.

After Angelina heard the door close, she sat back down on her seat and ate the pastries with a peace of mind.

By noon, Eric finally woke up. He slept incredibly well. It was his first time sleeping in such a comfortable bed. So he was reluctant to get up.

But he was starting to get hungry. Knowing that today he would be eating good food, he rushed to get up.

But then he realized he couldn't go to the dining room, so he decided to go to Angelina's room.

When he entered, he saw Angelina and Marie waiting for him with a table full of food.

"Your finally awake. Good morning...or...I mean...good afternoon" Angelina greeted him with a smile.

Eric nodded and said softly, "good afternoon"

"Come sit" Angelina did a gesture pointing at the seat beside her.

"Mm" Eric nodded. As soon as he sat down, his gaze fell on he food on the table.

"Well what are you waiting for? Go ahead and eat. You need to eat more. Look at how skinny you are."

"Thank you, lady Angelina." Eric smiled.

Angelina was a bit dumbfounded for a moment before smiling back.

Once the food entered his mouth, Eric could feel his heart go warm and tears formed in his eyes. It was so delicious...so full of flavor..and it was warm..

Back when Evelina was his master, he would always receive cold and left over foods. But now he gets to eat all these good food...

He couldn't stop a tear from falling.

Eric reached out his hand to wipe his teary eye, but Angelina beat him to it. She wiped his eyes with a handkerchief gently.

Then she looked at his clothes.

"Marie will take you to buy some new clothes after you take a bath. It's about time you wear something other than this."

"Wait...I will!?" Marie almost dropped the tray she was holding.

Eric realized that the clothes he was wearing was old, smelly, and a little dirty. He flinched and tried to creat more distance between him and Angelina.

He didn't want her to think he smelled bad..

Angelina silently chuckled at Eric's behavior. His thoughts were all plastered on his face. He was easy to read.

After Eric finished eating, he had a full stomach and it was the first time he felt satisfied in years.

Marie took Eric back to the room he was staying at and told him to take a bath.

Marie gave Eric some of Alex's cloths when he was younger. Even though it was a little too big, it was better than the clothes he was wearing before.

Angelina, Marie, and Eric went downtown. But they didn't head towards the same direction.

Marie took Eric to a clothing shop to buy him some clothes.

And Angelina went to sir Robert's shop.

When Angelina arrived, sir Robert and the other staff were already waiting for her.

"Lady Angelina! Thank you for coming here" Sir Robert greeted and bowed to her with a polite smile.

Angelina nodded politely.

Then sir Robert to say hello to Angelina.

"It's a pleasure to see you, boss!" They all said in unison.

"I look forward to working with you all." Angelina smiled at them. Then Robert took him to a private room as it would be too loud to talk with everyone there.

Angelina told him and idea she had.

She told him that she would like to raise the prices the painting would be sold at.

Sir Robert was at first confused, but he began to understand and get intrested.

The reopening of the shop would be set on two days before Angelina's debut party.

So noble would go out and try to pick out a suitable gift, and they could use this to their advantage.

Nobles would not buy things that they think are too cheap. They might think it was a scam or was too low for them.

But if they raise the prices and make it seem like a luxury, the nobles will be willing to buy the paintings.

Angelina had thought about this long before. That's the reason why she invested so much in the renovation and decor of the shop.

To make it look luxurious and elegant.

They also decided to change the shop's name to a more elegant one.

Angelina's painting of course also not lacking. She was personally taught by the empress after all!

She was just as skilled as the imperial painter!

Hearing her explanation, sir Robert agreed.

Marie, Eric, and Angelina met again outside sir Robert's shop.

"They told us they will deliver the clothes to the mansion this evening."

"Good."

Wearing Alex's old clothes, Eric looked like a young master from a privileged family.

The clothes that were a little too big, hid his frail skinny figure.

Looking at Eric, Angelina felt satisfied.

After a few days, Angelina was quite busy. She locked herself in her room for most of the day.

The only ones accompanying her were Marie and Eric.

Angelina would spend her days sending letters to sir Robert, instructing him on what to do, painting, reading, and even teaching Eric a few things.

Angelina hoped that Eric could get a job as a court mage with her as his sponsor.

Her debut was approaching. She was 6 days away from her debut.

She experienced a debut before...but for some reason...she felt... nervous?

She didn't know exactly why. She guessed that perhaps it was because she was debuting as someone..who wasn't exactly her...

In the past few days, Evelina tried several times to get him back, but she failed.

She didn't know why the oath didn't work and she couldn't control him anymore....

Eric at first wasn't able to look at Evelina in the eyes when they passed each other, but now it seems he got braver.

Her was now able to walk pass Evelina and give her a polite nod or not glance at her at all.

Seeing Eric's change, Angelina felt joy. Seeing that look of utter shock and rage in Evelina's face could brighten her day anytime.

The seamstress worked hard on Angelina's dress. She was a duke's daughter so the seamstress felt a lot more pressure.

Usually noble girls would have a debut party together on the beginning of the year. So it would not be only one lady debuting.

Well that was the case for noble ladies below the status of a daughter from a marquess, duke, or royal family.

For young ladies from a marquess, duke, or royal household, they were given their own debut party, and it was held at their birthday.

Today, Alice sent a letter to Angelina inviting her to come with her to a gathering.

Alice told her the gathering was postponed due to the fact that lady Arianna Chandler's father fell ill.

But now that the marquess has recovered, lady Arianna was finally able to hold her small gathering.

Angelina almost forgot about it. She had been busy lately and completely forgot that Alice invited her.

Fortunately she's still able to attend due to the gathering's postponement.

Angelina immediately told Marie to help her get ready for the gathering that will be held this afternoon.
