As a child, I liked some of fairy tale movies. I always feel happy when they say that the princesses "lived happily ever after" with their prince charming.

As I grew up, I realized that fairy tales are very different with my life. But I still had my prince charming that lived happily ever after. Even if it's just for the short time.

So here's our story...

Luciel and I were just sitting quietly under a tree.. We do this every Sunday afternoon and have a picnic when he suddenly breaks the silence

"(Y/N), what if I suddenly disappeared?" He asked me. I looked at him as though he's crazy. We've been dating for nearly 3 years now and it's really unusual for him to be this serious.

"Why would you, is the question. Aren't you happy with what we have now? We'll still marry each other, have children and grow old together." I've envisioned

"But what if, I can't do all of that?"

"Why can't you, is the question. Why are you suddenly so down? Are you sick?" I asked and checked his temperature

He held my arm and stopped me. He suddenly stared at me. I can't avoid his stares. His pair of golden eyes are my weakness.

He suddenly laughed. He's so weird, but I love that side of him. I love all of him.

"You'll be the death of me!" He said in between his laughs

"HA-HA-HA" I faked a laugh while crossing my eyes

"come on, I'll send you home" He said while smiling. Why am I so addicted to him?

"DOES JUMIN HAN IS GAY?! WEEEE OOOOOH WEEEE OOOOOH!" I was woken up by a loud screaming.. Of course.. it's Choi Luciel. I gave him a spare key of my apartment.

"Seven, it's like 4'oclock in the morning... And it's Monday... Ugh.." I've forced myself to utter. I'm still sleepy

"I've filed a leave on your office" He said. WHAT? I AM SHOOKT.

"W-what?! What have you done?!"

"I've filed a leave at your office for you. For 2 weeks.. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He said then smiled. I'm frustrated but seeing him smile calms me.. Why? UGH

"What did my boss said?" Knowing him, he's very strict. there's no way Seven can pursue a man like him with a an easy deal.

"It was okay with him. Your boss is very nice.. I wish I could work with you instead of working with Mary Vanderwood II" He said while hugging me then pouted

"Okay.. But don't do it again. Why did you woke me up at this time?"

"We're going on a trip..!" He sang like a child that made me chuckle. Am I dating a 5 year old? A *ehem* hot *ehem* 5 year old..

It was a crazy day.. We went hiking! I was not ready for it! My whole body hurts TT

But it was fun, we took so many pictures.

He slept in my apartment he said he would stay with me for at least a week. He said he just wanted to be with me.. Of course, it's so sweet of him.

We didn't do much.. We just had a movie marathon the whole day.. I haven't done these things with him.. It's very fun. I would like to do it again..

He woke me up again and announced that we'll go on the beach.. And again, I was not ready! But he has packed all our things and he even bought me a swimsuit. Wow, just wow. =//////=

And then again, it was fun.. It's our first time again since we were students before and attended summer classes..

We've stayed on my apartment again but this time, we played video games all day.. I've never had a console so I never played.. But seven's ready, he brought his. It was fun to see him being playfully competitive. Who loses will have a consequence. It was so fun.. Doing everything with him is a bliss

We just dated and went to the mall.. He has brought me everything I wanted.. He said it's his gift for our 3rd anniversary.. Well, he asked me. I also secretly bought him the pendant that he wanted.. It costs much, but I've managed to save for it.. We went to the arcade and sang at a video bar till we lost our voice. haha

He invited our friends at the apartment and we had a party.. Hyun, Jumin, ma'am Rika, sir V, Yoosung and Jaehee which we knew after those years.. It was very fun. We played some games and danced. We're like in a club, haha. I have low tolerance of alcohol so I passed out while drinking.. All I could remember before I fell asleep was Luciel carried me to my room and kissed my forehead before going out.

I woke up late and my head hurts a lot.. I've forced myself to stand up. I drank some coffee to ease my hangover. I've noticed that it's so quiet and it was clean.. Base on my memory, we had a party.. How come it's not messy in here?

And Luciel.. Where is he? And his luggages are not here.. I tried to call him but his phone is out of coverage area.. Wow.. Just wow..

I've rested for hours and tried to distract myself by surfing the internet.. I can see our pictures from yesterday.. Haha we looked so sill. We also had videos.. When can we do it again?

After an hour, I tried to call him again, but it's still out of coverage area..

I'm getting worried.. It's unusual of him to be out of coverage area..Or he has turned off his phone? UGH. I need to know where he is.. I have a bad feeling about this..

So I started to call all of our friends.. But they all of them said they had no idea.

Till I called ma'am Rika.. As soon as she answered me, she told me to meet her at a coffee shop. I really have a bad feeling about this..

"So, (Y/N), how are you?" She opened up our conversation.. I sipped at my coffee before answering.

"I'm okay, ma'am.." I answered but I can't look straight into her eyes.. He held my hand and smiled

"You're worried about Luciel, right? Wow. You've come to a relationship where you can sense if something bad is happening to him. Look.. Luciel, is somewhat strange. He have an illness called koku haku disease. He has less heartbeats than us and his life is timed by it.. Now you know why he did all of those, right? I don't know where he is.. But I know you can tell by now.. He wanted to be alone.. He don't want others to be sad, knowing that he'll die.. He hates goodbyes, you know, right?"

She handed me a phone after "Open it when you see him to monitor his heartbeats"

I just felt that a tear rolled on my cheek.. I can't speak, all I can think of is go to the airport.. So without saying a word, I hurriedly run out of the coffee shop and went to the airport..

I was crying as the taxi drives me there..

I looked at the phone that Rika gave me.. Is it why he always looks at his phone?

I'm running as I was crying, looking for Luciel..

"(Y/N).." As soon as I heard his voice, I hugged him tight.

"Luciel... Are you leaving without saying goodbye? Please tell me this is all a prank again.. please.." I cried

"I-it's prank! haha!" He said with a cracked voice..

I opened the phone and it says that he only have 900 heartbeats left..

"No.." I even bawled more..

"(Y/N), please don't cry.. It pains me to see you cry.." I felt him hug me tighter "We should be happy ever after.."

"But--" He interrupted me and tried to cup my face.. He wiped away my tears.. How can he still smile?

"Don't cry.. God has given us life, and it's up to him when he would take it back" He said while patting my head, trying to calm me dow

"He's unfair.. He's unfair.." is all I could answer

"No.. I'm very thankful. All I wanted is to have great friends before I die and do what I want.. But look, I met you. You have given me so much happiness.. You've loved me for who I am. I'm glad that I've spend the rest of my life with you.. I could say that I've lived ever after with my princess. Thank you, Thank you for all that you've done." He said while smiling, I saw that he has shed a tear.

"Luciel.. Thank you for everything.. I love you.. Please... Don't leave..." I said and hugged him tighter

He hushed me while patting my head.. "I don't regret anything.. I'm happy that I get to be with you before I took my last breathe.. Thank you for following me here.." He said.

I've eventually calmed down after awhile and we decided to sat down.. We were holding hands as we sit..

The phone kept on beeping.. It says that he only have 300 heartbeats left..

"Luciel.." I called him.. I can't stop myself from crying again.. "Your heartbeat--"

He interrupted me by kissing.. It was sweet yet full of pain.. My chest kept on aching as our kiss lasts..

It was for seconds and he kissed my forehead after..

He cupped my face and looked straight into my eyes.. I'll miss those pair of golden eyes.. his red hair.. His weird jacket.. His scent.. His goofiness.. All of him

"I'm sorry but our fairy tale would end now.. Thank you for everything.. Please, live happily after this.. Because I'm happy and contented with my life.. Don't be sad, I'll always defend you when I'm already an angel. I'm angel 707, defender of (Y/N) haha.. I'll always watch you from above, and if someone made you cry, I'll haunt them. Hahaha I've lived happily ever after.. With you..And it's all I've ever wanted. I love you (Y/N).." He said and kissed me on my forehead and gave a quick kiss on my lips before looking at another direction..

"I'll miss you.. I love you too, Saeyoung" I held his hand tighter..

I saw him shed his tears for a bit but he smiled after..

I looked at the phone and he only have 30 heartbeats left.. I've closed my eyes and cried silently as I hold his hand. Every beep feels like eternal..

It was the last beat and we looked at each other then he mouthed with the widest smile that I've seen from him,

"I love you, my princess"
