《The Kings Heir》Solitary

For a while nothing was around, Helena's grip was still on my hand but nothing was around me. Then suddenly, I was in a living room, not one I've ever seen. I let go of Helena's hand and look out the window. I'm still in the woods. I turn back towards her and start hyperventilating. I cry heavily into my hands and feel lost. I hiccup and cough loudly choking on air. My hand immediately grips my stomach but the empty stomach feels worse then the over stretched one with a baby inside.
"Mercy!" I cry and fall to the floor on my knees and cry into my hands.
"Why didn't he just kill me!?" I scream at Helena.
"I told you, things are different. Everything's changed."
"I didn't even get an hour with her before she was ripped from my hands!"
"Everything will be okay." Helena says calmly helping me off the floor, she hands me a drink and suddenly all the pain from my labor was gone the fat hanging from my stomach gone, the stretch marks don't exist. It looks like I was never pregnant. No proof of Mercy's existence inside of me.
"What did you do?" I cry.
"You need to take this one day at a time, it's going to be hard, but calm down, go shower, I'll explain once your out and food will be ready, please Jamie, just listen to me." Helena says trying to stay calm but her patience is running thin. I cry silently to myself and go find the bathroom. The bathroom is pure white with a small tub and shower.
I turn the water on hot and step inside, I grab the soap and lather my body, crossing my empty stomach, and my non-stretched vagina. This isn't right. I finish my shower and go into the room and put on leggings and a hoodie, the snow surrounds my windows, I'm reminded of her every where I look. I reach down and slide on my socks, just a day ago that was impossible, and just a day ago I thought Mercy was a boy. A day ago I had my baby. I walk out of my room and into the kitchen. Many foods are spread on the counter and table.

"Touch times call for sweets and salts." She says. I take the chocolate cake into my hands and grab a fork and sit down besides the cheese fries. She bits into a mozzarella stick and sticks across from me.
"This is your home till you die. Demitri's orders." She says straight up.
"Every month I will come and give you everything Demitri gives me, all things Mercy and notes. You are not allowed passed the shield. It blocked any visitors from finding you. But you aren't trapped here but I'd suggest not leaving, or he will be forced to kill you. Mercy will be safe, Lincoln, Parker and I will always watch her, she is our top priority." She says.
"I get photos and things about Mercy. Updates?"
"Yes, it will be discrete, once a month at night I will stop by and refill your house, give you things to keep busy, and bring you things about Mercy. She will know about you, she will, I promise you." She reassured.
"I can still go outside just not passed shield. Okay. Anything else?"
"Demitri is giving you one final visit tonight, he will come around two in the morning with her, Jamie, spend time with her, smell her kiss her hold her, because you might never do it again." Helena says and vanished into thin air. I put the cake down and get up and walk into my room. A desk sits nicely besides the window, I grab some from one of the drawers and paper, lots and lots of paper. I write everything, I don't stop till I feel complete and ready, I look up after hours of writing and see how dark it is already. I put the pen down and leave my room, I walk passed the living room and to the front door. I open the door slowly, lanterns light up the outside of my house, a bench sits besides a small rose garden.

I sit outside and look up into the night sky, tightly gripping the pages I've written on waiting for Demitri one final time. I can't stop thinking about ether of them. Especially my Mercy. Her beautiful blond head and vibrant blue eyes, her button noes and small pink lips. I remember that little smile she gave and how perfectly she fit in the crib, how beautiful she is standing out already. Her touch was softer than a feather. I can't even imagine how beautiful she will be growing up. I remember looking at the wall of all the Kings, and now a Queen is soon coming, I beautiful and completely the opposite of all those hung on the wall. Her fathers head is filled with black curls that he always fixed for public and deep red eyes, as was his father and the man before him. Soon enough a curly blonde with blue eyes will rule, and rules will change. I hope.
