《The Kings Heir》Vacation in a Museum

If only I thought this would last, no sooner did Helena put up the shield Demitri was standing behind it angrily calling the both of us. I stand next to the door staring at Demitri, Lincoln, and Parker. He touched the shield but got zapped and backed up.

"What do you think you're doing Helena!? Put down the shield!" He shouts, venom laced in his words.

"She wanted to get away from everything you. My home is the only safe, place that you haven't touched." His nostrils flair with her words spewing from her mouth and I just stand besides her holding my stomach.

"You work for me Jamie! I told you I had a plan for you! Why won't you believe me?" He says hurt.

"I work for you? That's why Demitri." I reply trying to keep my emotions away from my voice.

"Jamie, I meant you carry my future! Just tell Helena to take this down and come back home!"

"No! That castle is not my home. That's my start to the ticking clock and my end! You took me away from my home." I shout stepping out of the house and closer towards the shield.

"Demitri, I'll be okay here, I just need space, I need time away."

"Away from what?" He stresses stepping as close as he could without being shocked.

"You." I shyly announce.

"Then do it at the castle."

"No. It's not safe there anymore, I won't go back."

"Jamie..."

"Come back tomorrow and visit, but I'm not going out and you're not coming in." I turn around and walk back to the door Helena standing besides the door ready to close it.

"Jamie!" Demitri shouts. I turn around and wait for his next sentence.

"Remember eyes are always on you. Stay safe." He looks me straight in the eyes, his face looking stone and turns around and is gone in a flash along with Lincoln and Parker.

Helena closes the door behind me and takes a deep breath.

"I noticed you keep your house clean and simple." I throw out, tired of the eerie silence.

"Well it did used to have spark. Many years ago that was, it was the best time of my life, soon enough I'll be finished here and I can go home."

"Home?"

"Yes home, i was put here on a mission, I have one more heir to protect then someone else takes my place and I return back home to my kingdom. I forgot a long time ago that this place is not my home, I'm more like the safe keeper to this realm."

"So that explains the baby clothes and albums in that room." Her head snaps in my direction and her face looks for once shocked, with an unexpected tase rubbing off my lips.

"You went into the room?"

"I was only looking around. Are they both yours?"

"We shouldn't talk about this, it's not safe." She ushers.

"Why wouldn't it be safe?"

"Just let it be Jamie, you will find out when you do." She says.

"I'm sorry if I over stepped it's just, I thought I was alone here."

"Jamie, you're not alone, let's get you straightened up, I have a room for you that you can do whatever your heart desires." She stands up and hells me up and leads the way down the hallway passing many doors.

"Thankfully my house is one floor so no worries about stairs for you!" She jokes.

Opening a door and entering a guest room that looks well up to date. The bed made the blankets a floral quilt with four pillows nicely displayed. The room is a soft yellow, a dresser to the right and a desk to the left.

"Hope you like it."

"It's perfect, better than I had back at home, I'm grateful for everything, thank you."

"Well I'll let you get settled, when your comfortable come out into the kitchen, we can talk." She says smiling and closes the door behind her. I walk up to the dresser and feel the smooth wood beneath my fingers, I was lucky to have something this nice back at home. We could barely afford to live let alone buy furniture that wasn't a necessity. I pull the drawers open and find clothes already folded and neatly pressed into them. I pull out a pair of pants and see they are maternity wear. Finally something more my style, enough of the dresses, although they are a lot easier to move in, but I was tired of feeling like I was going to a ball everyday. I take off my dress and let it fall into a bunched up circle around my feet I kick the dress to the side and put in the sweatpants and a stretchy tank top. Finally noticing how big my stomach truly is, quite frankly it scares me. I turn towards the body length mirror and turn to the side, he's snug in there isn't he?

I have about two months left. The his life begins and mine ends. The prices to pay for your children. I'd sacrifice the world for him.

I pull the tank top down trying to cover my whole stomach and not just partial, covering the stretch marks that have invaded my skin, some pink and others a light shade of my skin color. I turn around from the mirror and unbraid my hair. I throw it up into a bun and try putting on socks but fail miserably. I hold the socks and walk out into the kitchen. Helena is making something in a pot, maybe some more witch voodoo. She turns around and hands me a bowl of soup.

"Thought you might be hungry."

"This smells delicious." She turns back to the pot and pours more soup into another bowl. I guess she leaves her witch voodoo in the black pot and not the cooking ones.

"I hate to ask but I'm trying to put these socks on and I can't bend down all the way to get them on and my feet are really cold, could you put them on?" I ask holding the socks up, she turns around and laughs grabbing them and bending down to put them on.

"Thank you."

"Any time." She beams.

She sits down besides me and eats her soup.

"You know when Demitri's mother went into labor she denied the labor for a day and stayed in her room with the door locked and gave birth to him alone? She kept herself locked in the room for two days before anyone came in. She stayed with him for a whole day before anyone noticed. The day before I was making a ring for him, to be presented on his 18th birthday, I was going to bring it to her so she can put all her memories in it, so he could see her life. But I showed up too late, when one of her guards came into the room she was dead. She died from too much blood loss. He sat in her arms staring up at her with a large smile on his face. Well big enough that a two day old baby could make. The guards helped the baby and ran down to the King, the King was completely devastated, he was torn to bits at the fact he missed his sons birth and secretly heartbroken he never said goodbye to his Rose. He blamed it on me. Said it was my fault. So he punished me. I had fell in love, deeply and madly in love with a human. I'd visit him often, and finally gained the courage to ask him to come back here with me. We lived well, we were happy, and expecting a baby girl. The day she was born was the last day I saw her, until a few years ago. She's here. She doesn't know who I am or even who she is, but before the King gave Demitri the crown he brought her back, but not because he finally forgave me, but to punish me. I see her almost everyday yet I can't introduce myself. He forbid it, only she can come to me, then the request breaks. He sent her to Earth, slowed down her aging, and now she's here." She smiles sadly looking out the window then down at her soup.

"But what about those pictures of Demitri and his mom?"

"I created them, so he would have something of her, his fathers Wife threw everything out the day they removed her body, he had nothing of her, so I created what should have been and kept everything I could of hers and his, and my daughter."

"Who's your daughter?"
