《The Kings Heir》Helena?

"Demitri go to her, she looks ill." I beg from my bed, his head lays on my naked chest, I play with his hair and brush it away from his face. He rubs my stomach earning a kick from the baby. He sighs and kisses my stomach earning another kick and a sensation of flutters into my body. He stands up and fixes his shirt and pants, he ties his shoes and picks up his suit jacket. He looks back at me sadly and heads towards the door. He walks out the room and soon enough rushes back inside. He comes up to me and kisses my lips longingly, he finally pulls away and goes out the door.
I lay back down and hold my stomach protectively during our nap, but no sooner enough I think about what to come in the next few months. My baby is going to grow up without me, motherless. Well not entirely, Corella will be there as his mother figure. My duty is just to delivery, and that's what I will do. Whatever you are in there, know you are destined for greatness.
_____________
At almost sun set by time I wake up. I rush out to the doors and pull both Parker and Lincoln into my room onto the balcony. I don't say a word and just stare at the on coming sunset and smile in content. I look up at them as they stand there awkwardly and looking around unclear.
"This right here is what makes everything worth it. Besides the baby of course."
"What do you mean?"
"When I'm gone, I want one of you to carry one wish for me, can you do that?" I question quietly like someone was listening in.
"Depends"
"Sure"
"When he grows up I want him taken out here every chance you get to let him see the sunset, I come out here every night and we talk, well I do, and I think he agrees with coming out here too, it's something we can both have." I smile looking at Lincoln and Parker, both there faces are sad and somber.

"Will you do that for me? I want him to know from the Solon going down that today might have sucked but tomorrow will be new and better. I want him to know this is a way to be with me when I'm no longer here."
"I'll make sure it happens every night Jamie, he will know who you are, no way would I let him grow up not knowing you."
Surprisingly enough that came from Parker, the mute big guy who is never nice. I nod my head and laugh as a tear falls down my face, I hug him tightly and look back at the sunset.
"Demitri doesn't need to know about this, I want this to be something just between me and my baby."
Everyone was in agreement and once the serum went down we all went inside. I told one of them to go eat and rest and the other just stay with me Incase Demitri sees me, Lincoln got to go first so it's just Parker and I. I put in shoes and walk to Helena's room. I knock and walk inside watching her work, she doesn't notice me. I take notice in the small crib she's working on. She's working on a name painted on the heading of it. Mercy. She looked busy at work, who's she working on this for? She should make one for my baby, it looks amazing.
"Helena?"
She jumps almost messing up the name she looks to have spent hours perfecting and quickly turns around trying to block the small black crib. She wipes her hands on her pants and smiles up at me.
"Something wrong?"
"I was just bored, thought I'd come here for a bit, but it seems like you are busy m, should I come back later?"

"No you are fine I can put that little project on hold."
"Who's that for, it looks beautiful?"
"A good friend of mine is finally having a baby, they don't know what they are having but I look into the future, I see and know all. They are going to have a little girl, her names going to be Mercy."
"Wow, that's a beautiful name, I'm not sure what Demitri is going to name him when he's born, I hope it's as unique as hers."
"He never told you? You choose the baby's name, not him, he chooses nothing."
"I had no idea, I haven't even thought of any names, do you know any good boy names?"
"Let's discuss names when you are closer to your date, for now enjoy the moments you have."
"Tomorrow night is the fairy festival, are you attending?"
"Well it would just be wrong of me not to attend, I am in charge of the festival, who would take the credit?"
"Oh I had no idea. Was it a lot of work?"
"When you can magically make anything appear nothing is a lot of work."
"This is going to be the first outing for me since I started showing, Corella wanted me inside during pregnancy, Demitri insisted I attend this event."
"You and Demitri seem, closer."
Helena says with a smirk, she lays a sheet over the crib she's working on and changes her clothes and sits with me in the bed, suddenly the ceiling is gone and the dark sky full of stars flood my view.
"Surprisingly enough. He barely sees Corella anymore, she came to me the other day, begging me for her husbands attention." I sigh.
"Do not feel bad, she's a vindictive woman, don't trust her, she always has a motive. Take what's yours, Demitri might have put a ring on her and crowned her Queen but it was never her position to take."
"What are you saying? That I should be Queen?"
"I think when the shoe fits your wear it."
"I'm no ruler, I didn't even want to come here let alone be Queen."
"People change. I mean look at you know, shagging the King and carrying his first born."
"Never use the term shagging ever around me please, and we have very good ears listening in."
I laugh and look down at my stomach, whenever Helena is around he kicks like he's playing soccer, you would think she's his mother.
"How do you think the baby feels every night?"
"Do you think it's bad for the baby? Should we stop?"
"Oh lord no, when you can't leave the bedroom, do it as much as you can, it will get the baby out faster."
I blush and nod my head laughing into the pillow full of embarrassment.
"That baby is going to change the world."
"People keep saying that."
"Well that's because it's true."

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment. You can also vote for it on Top Web Fiction and rate it on Web Fiction Guide. Member of The Order of Phantasmal Architects.
