《The Kings Heir》Mixed emotions

'Helena, she can't hide out here forever." I hear him growl, I look through the crack in the bathroom door and see her standing at her door while he was standing outside her door his eyes black with red veins surrounding them. I trip over my foot as I tried closing the door and when I looked through the gap again his eyes met mine, they softened once his eyes swept across my face and I was caught in a daze, it's been four days since I've left her room, it's the only safe area for me right now. Helena looks back at me and nudges me to close the door, I look back at Demitri and my heart burns, he looks so angry but to me it's the most handsome man I've ever met. I look down and close the door and finish what I started.
I'm outside in the garden helping the few children that run around helping there parents do work for the palace. The all range from different ages, but they all see the King and Queen as there savior. I've been out here for about an hour now, the children recognized who I was when the dress pressed up against my stomach, it's not everyday you see a women with a large stomach. Once they started bombarding me with questions I told them I had other things I needed to do, I walked back inside the castle and headed to the kitchen. I requested a cup of blood and a tray of chicken wings, maybe this could work, my food and his food together, a win win. I carried the tray back to my room instead of Helena's giving her a break of seeing me everyday and just camp out in here. Lincoln smiles at me while Parker remains focused. I open my door and see the King sitting at the edge of my bed dark circles evident under his eyes. I pause all motion and stand still, Parker reacts and searches for danger but when he see's the King he calms down and stands back besides the door.
"I didn't know you would be in here. Perhaps we could talk?" Demitri says, standing up and closing the door behind me. I sit down in a chair and place the food and blood on the night stand and respectfully eat my food before it gets cold.

"I really have nothing to say to you Demitri." I mutter with the flavor of chicken in my mouth, if he wasn't here I'd be in pure bliss.
"But I do. I have a lot to say." He retaliates taking the small distance we once had and making us closer.
"Whatever you are here to say I don't want to hear it okay? I'm here for one thing and that's this baby, once the baby is born I'm dead, you need nothing from me and I need nothing from you." I whisper wiping my hands taking a gulp of the blood, now this tastes disgusting, does he not want blood anymore, is he favoring the chicken wings over nasty human blood? I set the cup down and don't touch it again for the time being.
"I care about you Jame, not just because of the baby, but you, I don't want you getting hurt here. I wanna be here with you. Look at your stomach, you're not even a month in and your already showing, I missed the growth of the baby." He whines looking at my stomach.
"I don't think your Queen will appreciate you telling me this Demitri."
"I wanna be here, I'll tell her that you have been getting very sick and the doctor is requesting each night I give you my blood because the baby needs more strength, I can be here with you this way." He says.
"Demitri, you're only acting like this because of the baby, it pulls us together, you don't really want me, the baby wants us together, but you, you are married to Corella."I sadly point out. He looks at me steadily, you could tell he is thinking, but he keeps moving closer to me, and I want to push him away but something urges me to just give in and be in the moment.
"The baby wants us together for a reason." He says cupping the small bump with his hand.
"Demitri. Please, the last time the Queen didn't get her way I almost died. It's not worth it."
"I'm not going to quit because of my wife, you're the mother of my expecting baby, you are worth more to me then she ever will be." He ushers.

"Don't you see that Demitri? She's your wife! I'm your carrier, two different positions." I cry.
"She stopped touching me, she can't look at me after I slept with you, she hasn't touched me since you came here." He utters guilty. He looks down in embarrassment, I am taken back by his words and take his hand off of my stomach.
"This was a ploy. You just wanted to use me for sex! This is low, even for you Demitri! Please go. You've done enough damage here, I don't want anymore." I cried, my heart is searing with pain, he was only here because he has nothing to bone. He is using me because he can't go a few weeks without a vagina.
"Jamie." He stresses coming close to me, I stand up and back away from him he continues to move closer towards me but I grab the cup of blood and throw it in his face, the stench of the blood radiates off of him and makes me sick to my stomach, I turn around and just throw up on the ground besides the night stand. I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand and look over at him, the blood dripping off his face, his eyes black, his hands clenched in fists. He steps forward and brings his hand to the back of my head.
"You don't disrespect the King Jamie." He growls and tighten his hold on the back of my head. I grab his hand and listen to the growling coming from his mouth. He pushes back and in one quick fluid motion bangs my head against what was supposed to be a wall. I open my eyes when I feel the cushion pressed against my head, he fingers still intertwined with my hair. I look into his eyes, still pitch black, he's heaving and sighs frusteratedly.
"If you ever help her again I'll throw you out of my castle understood!?" He demands. I look at him in confusion ask his eyes are solely focused on mine.
"Stop giving me a reason to help and I will." Helena calmly says walking into the room and stepping besides me. His grip still firmly on my hair, neither of us move an inch.
"Let go of me Demitri." I whisper letting go of his hand and wiping the blood off his face with my sleeve.
"Demitri, the baby. Remember I'm carrying your baby." I murmur. He looks down at my stomach and cups the bump with his unoccupied hand. I shudder at his slow touch and feel a flutter in my stomach.
"Please." I plead. He looks back into my eyes and the dark fades jusdt a slight bit from his eyes. He lets go of my hair and I run out of my room holding my stomach and mouth protecting my baby and hopefully catching my throw up if I don't make it to Helena's room.
I close the door behind me and run to the bathroom. Throwing up blood and chicken, I gasp each time I stop praying I can catch my breath, my body trembling, my knuckles white from the firm grip I have on the toilet. I flush the reaming throw up and sit there on the floor and slide over towards the sink grabbing a towel hanging besides the shower and wet it to clean my mouth. I throw the towel in the sink and lay pressed up against the wall closest to the toilet.
All of this has become too much, I shouldn't have made any of this a big deal, if we just had sex the first night none of this would have happened, feelings would be involved, but they are and I've screwed everything up. I shouldn't have allowed this to happen, I knew better than to become involved with a vampire what do they even have to offer, they are dead?

The Garbage Man
2021/10/20 - Taking this down for a complete rewrite. I like the plot but the writing on the first attempt is... Garbage :/ Jack was just waiting for the storm to pass. It wouldn't. What it did was take him on the journey of a lifetime. A lot of lifetimes, in fact. This is a cultivation/wuxia story at its core. May contain young masters, martial arts and magic. * 14/08/2020 - Rough editing done on the published chapters, hooray! Now to resume normal - edited! - releases.
